I was very disappointed in services. I had color done that I paid $200 for and did not resemble what I asked for. Then I sent a very professional email and spoke (kindly) to the Receptionist who stated the owner wanted to speak to me personally and asked if it would be OK if she called me, which I said yes that was three weeks ago I still have not heard anything and no one offered to correct the problem that I spent $200 on! Will not go back nor will I recommend to anyone since my money and time wasn't worth a call back. read more

The Salvatore Salon is really a nice upscale salon. The moment you walk in, you feel pampered. The hairstylists are friendly and the place is in tip-top condition. There is always coffee and tea, and snacks if you want. No hair flying around, no dust balls rolling on the floor, just a clean place where it is an enjoyment to have your hair done. My stylist always takes lots of time for me, and makes me feel welcome and valued. I also tried the facials. I have to say, being used to European facials, it was almost funny. The amount of different stuff the girl put on my face.. OMG. It was a miracle I didn't walk out there with blisters and chemical burns. So I tried that twice and will not do that again. This might be my new favorite salon in lakeland. First of all, its BEAUTIFUL and HUGE. It used to be a fancy restaurant, and theyve really done well turning it into a relaxing spa/salon atmosphere. I recieved a haircut, eyebrow wax, and pedicure all of which turned out great. The staff is super friendly and helpful. It used to be that I believed no one in central Florida knew how to cut my hair before becoming a regular at a local Hair Cuttery outlet. There was one catch that always bugged me about visiting the Hair Cuttery which was that they didn't take appointments (first-come, first-served system). When I received the recommendation to check out Salon Salvatore I was pleased with being able to arrange a reservation in advance with the stylist of my choosing. Working with several of the hair stylists and once with a massage therapist I look forward to each visit, free from any reservation I might have had lurking in the back of my mind that my hair could be someone's 'experimental project'. I highly recommend Salon Salvatore to anyone looking for a dedicated stylist with experience as well as a host of other services you would come to expect from a day spa. read more

I went there for the second time over this past weekend. I had decided to book again because the first time and my first stylist was great. They had to switch stylists on me because the stylist I wanted wasnt going to be there. When I walk in, the stylist I wanted was there. The new guy was quiet and barely spoke a word to me. I get home and my hair is completely jacked up. Bad layers, one side of my head was longer... and I'm only slightly freaking out because my engagement photos are next week. Thanks to Sumner for coming to my rescue and giving me the beautiful curls I desired for my wedding :) After my own stylist tried, and failed, to achieve a style I liked, I called Salon Salvatore and asked for a trial run. They suggested Sumner and I'm so glad they did. Since I was there anyways on my wedding day I also had my makeup done by a girl they called in for me ( since their makeup girl was busy already doing homecoming makeup). Her name has slipped my mind but she was also wonderful. Maybe Melissa? Michelle? I'm not sure. Thank u salon Salvatore u guys a great! And I loved the general atmosphere of the salon too. Three days before my son's wedding I was lucky and got an appointment with Sarah Bailey for eye lash extensions. I asked her to give me lashes that could have been mine if I was born with normal long lashes. I did not want them to look fake just like a was born lucky! She did an incredible job! They don't look fake, people look at me and say something is different, and I look wonderful but they never guess it's my new eye lashes. She was so sweet went out of her way to make me comfortable as everyone there did. I recommend Sarah fully and was so pleased with my service and end result. read more

The whole experience was very unfortunate. Staff at front were great! However I got eyelash extensions and my tech was not very nice and applied my lashes terribly. Far too much glue, and ended up gluing my lashes down to the cover for my bottom lashes and had to pull them off. I had to take the lashes she applied off myself a few days later because they were so painful. Lost many of my natural lashes and very much regret going there. read more

I actually haven't been here yet, but I did have a great customer service experience with them. I have relatives that live in Lakeland and I know they enjoy this place. Instead of having to drive to Lakeland, I was able to very easily call them and order a gift certificate which was mailed perfectly within a few days. They were very nice over the phone and took the time to serve me as if I was right in the salon itself. So thank you very much and I hope to experience the services some day as well. read more

It's a beautiful place and I really enjoyed the massage. The most amazing part of the experience was loosing my diamond ring. I thought I had put in in my purse but when I got to my car, I realized it was not there. They helped me look for it. We couldn't find it, and I thought it was gone. Really disappointed as this was my first experience after following on FB for months. I saw a special for first time clients for a balyage and spoke briefly before my appointment and of course again when I got to the salon. From the minute my hair was getting washed I was told all about all the products that were going to be used and encouraged to buy them ( The up selling really turned me off, as it was more than once. And only the assistant really asked me what I currently use on my hair.) I showed pictures of my hair darker, explaining I wanting chocolate brown hair again so that I could purchase clip in extensions while my hair was growing out. I'm then told all about "up sell again" tape ins, which again not interested in. I was never shown hair swatches or told of colors that would be mixed together. I was then told I needed to trim my hair to start over while it was growing out, I didn't want to but figured it probably was best. But to see a small dusting/trim and then be charged $45.00 was I believe too much to say that was a "haircut". I was quoted for a color and cut but then see charges for bonding treatment and clarifyer too on the bill. I use Olaplex already and wouldn't have asked for the bonding treatment. So after sitting in the chair for 3 hours, I couldn't see the color well inside and hated the "trim" and style. When I get to the front desk I tell the cashier I hate this color and cut and I feel like Willy Wonka and she just laughs and says "well your lashes look nice and you don't have the glasses." Another turn off. When I get outside and see it, I see the color doesn't look much different than I walked in with. My teenager saw it and said I looked like Velma from Scooby Doo and the color matched our boxer which it did. I called and Dora did offer to fix it but had to be same day. Frustrated again, as I kept saying how early I get up for work and it was already 5:30. So I went back to the salon and this time shown three swatches of a base plain brown color. No dimension, or mixed colors together. So agreed to one as it was already getting late. The assistant finished up with me and curled my hair. Again I get home and the color is awful. To spend over $200.00 on my hair and hate it, not even worth the $35 tip (which I would honestly give to the assistant as she was with me more than Dora and the only thing I cared for was the scalp massage and her curling my hair). Needless to say, If i can get a full refund for the color and cut to go elsewhere i would really prefer it. I won't be back again. To then be there from 2 to 8pm when you have to get up at 2am for work again, not really putting the client first. The Instagram pictures are nothing of what I experienced or have in other salons. My niece and sister are both clients of aesthetician, Melissa. I started trying to make a brow appointment with Melissa beginning Spring 2014 and have yet succeeded. 1st attempt: due to our similar schedules I was unable to find any time Melissa was available when I was not working. The receptionist suggested having her call me to discuss and I never received a call. 2nd attempt: a few months later I called and Melissa actually answered. Unfortunately 5 weeks out she didn't have anything open and it was left at that. 3rd attempt: another few months later I thought I would try again. I called 6 weeks in advance and scored an appointment. The day before my appointment I received the confirmation call. The day of appointment...I receive a call that Melissa left sick and would be calling clients back to reschedule. I had not received a call the following afternoon and called the salon to see if she made it back to work. She had but I had yet to receive a call. The receptionist had no idea how to answer my question asking what she plans to do with all of the appointments she had to cancel. She just never gets to them?? The receptionist took my number (again) and said she would ask Melissa to give me a call. 2 weeks later---I have yet to receive a call from Melissa or anyone from the salon. It is very surprising and disappointing I cannot even have calls returned or an appointment rescheduled that had been canceled. If Melissa isn't accepting new clients, perhaps that should be mentioned when someone new calls to make an appointment. Unprofessional and very poor work ethic. read more
