I'm very disappointed with my experience with ProDraft House Plans Inc. and would like to share my…read moreexperience to forewarn others. My husband is a retired veteran and I am a disabled veteran. We reside in South Augusta and were referred to David of ProDraft House Plans Inc for a draft for our home. I called his office throughout the end of January and February to arrange for him to do so and never got a callback from him. I finally was able to reach him while he was traveling on vacation. He informed me to call the office back directly when he returns from vacation. He finally made an appointment to meet me at my home which he canceled and informed us we would have to meet him at his office for an estimate. He was more concerned about us being able to afford him assuming we lived on the South side of Augusta rather than us as customers. My husband physically went to his office, on March 17, 2022. He informed me how he would do the draft after he came to the home and got measurements. After we scheduled another meeting for him to come to our home. He canceled numerous times again. I finally told him after the third cancellation that my husband loses wages on the days he has to ask off. I felt this shouldn't have been necessary for him to commit to the meeting he arranged and confirmed. We finally got him to commit to a meeting but he tried to push the time to meet earlier. This meeting was set three weeks in advance, I had to inform him again "no, I wanted my husband's present". That same day on the call he addressed the cost again, stating he needed the deposit amount (half of the cost) when he came to our home. He hadn't even looked at our house prior too, he just gave us an estimate. He came to our house on the 1st of April. We gave him the deposit and he informed us after receiving the money that he would not be able to do the estimate until after the Master's Tournament. Then, he increased the estimate and failed to inform me of the increase. I called him to inform him I wanted to stay within the budget he and my husband had discussed in the office which was $3000. I called him several weeks after to inquire about the progress. He kept pushing the date back on the draft. I called him again after several unreturned calls. I was able to finally reach him and that's when he disrespectfully told me, " you're not my only customer and I have other customers besides you." After that conversation, I informed him I would like to arrange a meeting in person. We met him on June 1, 2022, regarding the progress of the draft which was still uncompleted. During the meeting, he started to get fowl with us. We informed him, he's had our deposit and the time it's taken us to get the draft, I could have had a house built by then. That's when he asked us "what do you want us to do ?" We requested the draft because it was overdue. He informed us for us to get the draft by Friday we would have to pay his employees overtime for working late. Therefore, he charged us an additional 200 dollars for his employees and the $1200 had to be in cash. I felt it should have been discounted due to the inconvenience it's caused us. He was informed I wanted the draft as soon as possible to have my house completed by fall. It caused us a delay in our plan. Therefore, I'm disappointed in the service, I received especially being a veteran.
