We liked their realistic style that wasn't overly dramatic; they captured a more natural look than many of the others. They were always prompt in their replies to our queries and were very helpful in tailoring a customized package for us. Even though we could not visit their office for a consultation, email communication with them was just as effective. My partner and I were very awkward when we first started our engagement photo shoot with Adrian, our photographer. Neither of us had taken professional photos before and had no idea how to pose or smile naturally at the camera. However, Adrian was really friendly and patient which put us at ease. We were worried that the photos would turn out unnatural because of our inexperience but they were perfect. Seeing our photographer for the second time on our wedding day is like seeing a friend instead of a stranger. This helped a lot especially both of us were quite nervous. And again, he was very patient as I had difficulty following his instructions to pose. It was also nice to see him in business casual attire on both occasions. Just a minor detail but it showed professionalism. We had only seen a few sneak previews of our wedding photos and they were absolutely stunning. It was everything we hoped for and then some. We definitely felt fortunate to have chosen Lightheart Photography for the most important day of our lives.

Stay away from Lightheart Films & Photography at all costs!…read more We booked our engagement and wedding photos with Lightheart, and the overall experience was the worst we had with any wedding vendor we encountered. At our initial consultation meeting we were given the impression the person we were meeting was our photographer. However after we had paid a deposit and booked, whilst confirming timing for our engagement shoot, we were then advised that he not a photographer at all! On the day of our engagement shoot, the photographer sent us a TEXT message a few hours before our meeting time advising he could not make the shoot. He did not bother to call us or even advise the studio. When we called the studio they were completely unaware that our shoot was cancelled. Although they managed to confirm an alternate photographer for us last minute, we were extremely concerned this last minute cancellation could happen on our wedding day as well. To make matters worse, we later enquired about their video service - despite no confirmation or deposit paid for this service they insisted that the booking was confirmed and demanded we pay a cancellation fee because we decided in the end we wanted to go with another vendor for our video. The staff was rude and pressed us multiple times as to why we did not want to go with them instead of respecting our decision. After a series of disorganised, rude, unreliable and unprofessional interactions, we simply did not want to risk using their service for our wedding day so we cancelled our booking - of course, they refused to refund us any of our deposit despite their written apology and admission their service was less than satisfactory. Even more ridiculous, a few days before our wedding their cinematographer still called us to confirm our booking! What a complete joke! We are so glad we went with another vendor. If you want to risk ruining your wedding day or having a photographer not show up, go ahead and book Lightheart Films & Photography. They have also hidden their Facebook reviews because of bad reviews from customers instead of responding professionally.

As you enter his studio, you know this is the real deal, it has the vibe of the highest echelons of the entertainment industry, that coolness of the cool type feel. They are very efficient with invoices and print orders, but they don't offer a disk with all your photos on it, as Patrick shoots on film. I feel Patrick really captured my essence and he really gives of himself in his work, which is pretty much synonomous with photographers but I think Patrick can offer that striking side to yourself to get you ahead of the pack with a phenomonal range of shots with very little effort from yourself.

The experience is great - you arrive, Jom shows you the setup, does a few test shots, fixes a few details (in my case, combed my eyebrows and used tape to straighten out a wrinkle in my shirt,) and then coaches you on smile and positioning for a great shot.
