Dr. Crisafulli and his staff are absolute gems. Fearing changing dentists, I used to have my…read morecleanings during my holidays in the US, but with my old doc's retirement, it was time to get serious in Italy. Here are my impressions:
*Office - spacious, modern, and immaculate
*Staff - so friendly; even though I've only been twice so far, they greet you with genuine smiles and upbeat chit-chat. Over the phone, they were incredibly expedient in finding an appointment to fit my busy schedule
*Cleaning - it felt so thorough yet the hygienist deftly avoided zapping any nerves or eliciting silent screams. My eyes didn't water up once from withholding. She also gave due warning if she thought something might cause discomfort, even though, thankfully, it was all perfectly survivable. She and her technique should be patented.
I haven't had anything more complicated than a periodic cleaning, but if you are due (or overdue, like I was) for a checkup, hesitate no further. It's worth mentioning that it'd been about 4 years since I'd gotten back on track, partially due to a dentist chain in the US that gave me the fire and brimstone litany about deep cleanings involving cutting your gums open. I found Dr Crisafulli to be transparent and honest in his appraisals.
