I went to Diana once and was quite happy with the trim. I have had a lot of bad sylists in Indio and La Quinta. So she gave me an appt. card for 8.7.23 at 2:30 pm. I did not get any call for confirming the appt. so I thought I should call. She called my number back, and said "I missed a call?" I said,"I sent you a text. She said, "Oh I got the text." I asked if I am on for today at 2:30 pm She was like, "no I don't have you down, I forgot to put you in my book and keep your contact information," she continued on to say, "I have another name down for 2:30 pm. She said, do you want 3, I said no. I hope she learns from this because she lost me as a client. I have seen a lot of irresponsible people around here. It's sad because she was a good hair stylist for being so young. I would say go to Diana, but you better be sure you have an appt. I found someone that is professional, so I am good. read more

Unfortunately I had a bad experience here. My hair cut experience was a joke. I went in wanting long layers with about 6inches cut off in total. Maria, did not seem enthused to cut my hair, recommended that I don't do long layers due to it not looking good. She did not recommend anything else that might fit my hair type. She ended up just having me stand up and dry cut my hair across. The front part of my hair didn't even get cut. And the price for my experience was just the touch of outrageous. I can almost say the same review here as Alicia F. 7 months ago. Unfortunately I had almost the same experience. I randomly picked this hair salon thinking I would get a nice hair cut. At least decent! I called first an as I arrived the salon was empty with 2 ladies sitting there. Asked for a haircut. She gave me a dry haircut. She charged me $30. Dollars which I didn't mind if it would of been a lil decent! All in all the whole experience took like 7 minutes. Got home and my husband, son in law asked " what the hell happen to your hair!!" I looked in the mirror to see the back of my hair and it looked like she just chopped it all up. What an insult!! Then I asked if they could condition my hair and immediately she said, we're out!! I'm sorry to put such a bad review but this is the truth. So if your lucky maybe you'll get a good hairdresser. Maybe you have to know someone in there to get treated right. I'm pretty sure they would of felt the same if they where in my shoes! read more

Asked her to fix a really botched up head of hair. She cut the ends only and let me walk out of there with still a botched up head of hair. Really not sure if she has grasped the concept of "hairstyle". Really too bad, they have a good location- just need the passion. read more

My sister and I made appointments with Carolina and Diane. We went for highlights and a trim. We both have medium length hair and my color was pretty simple, (or at least I thought). Over 3 hours in the chair, my highlights were done! My trim took another 5-7 minutes.... Worst color I have ever received!! My hair is now dirty light brown, you can actually see stripes of color in my hair and the long layers I asked for are no where to be seen! If that isn't bad enough..... She charged me $210.00 for a partial highlight and she didn't even style or blow dry my hair!!! My sister was equally disappointed. Instead of getting the color she wanted, she went home with spots of purple in her hair. Not happy campers and will never go back to this salon. read more

Called last minute to get a very needed trim, and they told me they can take me right away. Great! Considering I called an hour before closing on a Friday. I was seated right away with Elizabeth and she did a great cut on my hair we took a little more than 5 inches off and she made me feel very comfortable the entire time. I went to L & R based on the Yelp reviews and have been very pleased. My appointment was with Alicia and I will definitely continue going back to her. She's great! The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because I'm still slightly in shock that the additional cost to style after getting my color done was $35. I'm new to the area so perhaps that's normal? I've just never had it cost quite that much. Now I know and just won't agree to the additional service going forward. Still a great place though. read more
