The staff is excellent, warm inviting and friendly and they take good care of the hotel as evidenced by the hospitality, cleanliness and value that you receive when you stay here. They are continually updating the rooms and are very comfortable. I find the mattresses and pillows of a fine quality. The rooms are clean and comfortable with very good air conditioning and heating that's not too noisy to sleep peacefully. Plenty of space to unpack and enough room to sit comfortably. They provide a workout room and a nice pool. Their free breakfast consists of good tasting coffee, orange and other fruit juices, cereal, toast (white and wheat), danishes, make your own waffles, eggs, bacon and sausages, yogurt bagels with butter cream cheese and strawberry and grape jelly. Checking out is easy, last stay i overheard a customer praising the front desk manager for providing a wonderful experience and value! I will always stay here in future trips to the area!

Our room was dated and the carpet had several large stains - almost bad enough that I didn't want to walk around barefooted. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean and the shower had good water pressure, however there was a lot of calcium buildup in the showerhead as the stream was kinda all over the place. The breakfast was as expected, however the attendant was very friendly and efficient. This hotel is definitely a good value for the price.

Very disappointed with the breakfast communication and lack of follow-through…read more I stayed at the Fairfield Inn & Suites in Rockport and, unfortunately, one of the things that really bothered me was the way the breakfast information was handled. About a week before our stay, I contacted the hotel because I had seen online that they offered grab-and-go breakfast bags and that they were available as early as around 5:30 a.m. Since we had plans that required us to leave early, I specifically asked if the grab-and-go bags would be available around 5:00 a.m. I was told that they would be available if we requested them. I even responded that we would like a grab-and-go bag around 5:00 a.m., and the employee confirmed that was fine. Because I had received that information directly from the hotel, I planned accordingly. When we arrived and checked in, I made sure to request the grab-and-go bags again so there would be no confusion the next morning. I was once again told that it was fine. Then, the next morning, when I went down to get breakfast, I was told by a man at the breakfast area that the grab-and-go bags were not available until 7:00 a.m. This was extremely frustrating and inconvenient. I had specifically contacted the hotel in advance, asked a very direct question about the early breakfast, received an answer, and then confirmed the request again when we arrived. If I had been told from the beginning that breakfast or the grab-and-go bags would not be available until 7:00 a.m., I could have prepared for that. Instead, I relied on the information provided by the hotel and ended up without breakfast when I needed it. Things happen and I understand that schedules can change, but there should have been communication about that change. What makes this especially frustrating is that I didn't just assume the bags would be available--I went out of my way to ask ahead of time and then confirmed it again at check-in. The room and our overall stay had some positives, but this experience was genuinely disappointing. If a guest takes the time to call ahead and confirm something as important as early breakfast availability, the information given should be accurate. At the very least, if the information changes, the guest should be notified. I would have gladly made other arrangements if I had been given the correct information. Instead, I was left having to wait much longer for food because I trusted what the hotel staff had told me. That was an unnecessary inconvenience and definitely affected my experience with the hotel.

OMG!!! First, let me start by saying that I'm not a Wyndham customer and after the experience I…read morehad at this hotel (or should I say motel) I will NEVER be a Wyndham customer. If I could give 0 stars, I would. My fiancé and I made reservations for this hotel because this is where the wedding party was staying. Our reservations were made months in advance, credit card info given and I received a confirmation number. We make the drive from Austin, TX to Aransas Pass, TX for a wedding. We get to the hotel and they didn't have our reservation (although I gave them my confirmation#). I told the front desk clerk, she looks in the computer and nothing. At this point I'm not a happy camper (for those of you who truly know me). I politely told her that as a consumer this is not my issue, so you need to fix it. After a few minutes going back and forth with this person (didn't see her name tag, not sure if she even had one on). Her resolution: We don't have a queen size room, well we do, but not for the number of days you want. So I can give you a king size room and charge you the regular room rate. WRONG ANSWER....not happening. I was quoted a price of $72.25 and that's what I expect to pay. Then she tells me well I can give you a 15% discount which meant we would pay $93.50. At this point, I'm tired of arguing with this person. Fine, we get the room and OMG!!! This room is HORRIBLE. It is FILTHY, the furniture and floors are dirty. Thank goodness we brought our own sheets, pillowcases, blankets and the most important Clorox Wipes. So you mean to tell me without the discount I would be paying more than $100 for this type of room? Prices are crazy for how this hotel looks. Once I figure out how to post pictures, I will post pictures of our room. Oh...this saga gets better folks, let me tell you. So we spot the happy couple in the lobby and advise them of our experience, come to find out, this happened to 3 other couples who made reservations. We should've been like the smart ones and got a room elsewhere. Needless to say, if we ever go back to the Texas coast, we will not stay there. I guess this hotel figures since they're one of the "elite" choices in this small town, they can treat people anyway they can. Well they cannot and I will not let them. If you want to leave feedback on the Wyndham's website, you only have 450 characters to do so. REALLY?!?!? This makes me think they get way too many complaints so they've only allowed a small space for your complaint.
