Studio Souk is set in the heart of Belfast City although when you walk through the doors you'll feel a million miles away hustle and bustle. There's a certain serenity about Studio Souk, this feeling of calm and quiet seems to harness creativity, which there is plenty of on show here. The idea of Studio Souk is brilliantly simple - it is an open space for designers and artists to create their products and sell them to the people of Belfast - The studio itself is bright and airy - when I visited the Belfast sun was beaming in on the upstairs space, reflecting off the rustic stone floor creating almost the perfect natural working environment for the clearly content craftspeople. There is a whole range of products available for purchase. There's a vintage stall, Belfast artwork, woodwork, furniture, household decorations and even a charming children's art area. This nice thing about Studio Souk is that you can tell that the owners as well as occupiers care deeply about art and creativity and this is reflected on the beauty of the space. If you are in town I would urge you to take a break from the norm on the High Street and pop in to Studio Souk - you can even grab a cuppa in their on site Café and take in the surroundings at your on leisure. read more

Great craft and coffee shop. There is nowhere quite like Souk Studios. The time and effort spent on supporting local artists/photographers/fashion designers/potters/sculptors - anything creative really, is incredible. The coffee shop in here uses only the best local produce. It is such a breathe of fresh air in amongst the usual shops you'd expect to find in a city centre. And I do mean city centre - between Castle Court shopping centre and Victoria Sq Shopping Centre. It couldn't be easier to get to, even if it is to sit and have a coffee, escape the hustle and bustle and watch the world go by for a while. All round it it a great place to check out and most likely end up leaving with some amazing craft that is one-of-a-kind! read more

Was at Studio Souk for a Yelp event for the first time on Friday night. I noted that it was in what used to be the old USC store, and what a transformation. The studio is amazing! I'm amazed that the studio has been open for two years and I've just had my first visit, I'm seriously behind the times with this one! Studio Souk are a registered charity and do loads of great work within the community and with young people. The artwork on display was fantastic. For quite a while I have thought of having an original paining for my house. I saw some amazing artwork on display here and best of all, it is very reasonably priced. I also noticed that they have a beautiful cafe too. I can't wait to go back and experience Studio Souk on a 'normal day' - it is a wonderful addition to our vibrant city! read more

Studio Souk's currently my favourite shop and is a charitable organisation which supports local artists, designers and craftspeople. Everything in-store is unique, interesting, affordable and beautiful. A perfect treat for yourself or gift for a friend. The ethos of supporting local creators is wonderful plus there's a cool, open plan, art studio feel to Souk. If you find yourself in Belfast, seek it out and visit. I promise you won't regret it There's a cafe, picture framers, jewellery, ceramics, paintings, sculptures, ornaments, clothing, furniture and books for sale. Due to the large number of creators who work in Souk there's a range of styles on display, thus there really is something to suit all tastes. I can literally spend hours rummaging around Souk. Also it's wonderful to meet the artists themselves and sometimes see them at work. At present there isn't another place quite like Studio Souk in Belfast, but there should be as it's brilliant. A refreshing change from the norm and a beautiful oasis of uniqueness right in the centre of Belfast. read more

The Souk sells craft and artwork from NI artists. From its humble beginnings over in the spire its really grown into a great business and venue. In the front you can sit for a coffee while surrounded with all the individuality our little city has on offer. The cafe area can provide a much need rest space and coffee mid shop, at a decent price. Upstairs you will often find an arts in residence you can go and watch/chat with about their work. This offers a little something extra I think for those wanting to buy local. It brings a story with the art, which can make it all the more powerful. The shop itself is in a good location just off the main street, and staff are always friendly and willing to help. The souk also offer workshops and events on a regular basis, giving back a little to the local community. It a shop that really lives by the shop local ethos. read more

After attending a Yelp event in Studio Souk i couldn't wait to call back in and have a look around! I brought my mum in because she loves antiques,art, pictures and everything alternative and she was not disappointed in fact she was like a child in a toy shop! Some amazing art work and craft things in particular we loved the handmade little girls dresses. My mum loved them so much she is going back to purchase them for my nieces. If anyone is passing by they should defo have a look around! There is also a cafe area and although i have not eaten here the food looks delicious. Overall something different from the same old shops around the city centre :) read more

Lovely collection of local artists all under one roof and the chance to meet the maker too is great. Huge range of things like handbags, candles, screen printed shirts, vintage clothes, soaps/ beard oils and jewellery! This place is ever expanding with a great ever changing window display to attract customers. There is a small cafe at the front that sells local produce. read more
