The first question I asked upon contacting you was, are you accepting new customers? You said, yes. Had you just said, "we are not currently accepting new customers because our schedule does not permit or we are full," that would've been more accurate, understanding and honest. Oh and I'm well aware of the temperature outdoors but this is the profession you chose. Stay cool and hydrated and I wish you all well. This company came highly rated on Facebook (first mistake). I don't care for Facebook and have since deleted the app. So, I decided to reach out anyway, (second mistake). The man who operates this business, Samuel is not honest, have no integrity and doesn't know much about customer service. I initially reached out and asked if he was accepting new lawns and his reply was, "Yes you looking for something weekly or bi-weekly." I said, weekly. A week later, he was suppose to give me a quote via email, that never happened, I called him several times and eventually texted him and told him not to return my call... I don't like how he operates business. I cannot recommend him at all. He comes across as duplicitous and dishonest. How can you say you are accepting new business if your schedule is so full? Just another day in bizzaro land here! I need to get myself out of the South and back to common sense territory.

The edging/trimming is perfect and the lawn isn't cut too low but just right. I had this problem with another guy. He'd cut the yard too low and it can weaken and even kill your lawn. Additionally, cutting too short will limit the grass's nutrient supply, giving weeds free reign. It's good having someone who knows how to service lawns. The quality of the grass cutting itself is good; however, the communication and pricing have become…read morean issue. After my initial cut, I was given an agreed upon price for ongoing service. Today, he returned 13 days later one day short of two weeks. I arrived home before he started cutting, and at no point did he communicate that the price would be different. He was still cutting when I left, so I sent the agreed upon amount. Only afterward did I receive a message stating that I owed an additional $25 because he had to "double cut" due to the grass growth. In total, he has serviced my home only three times. Grass grows that's obviously outside of the customer's control. If additional charges are going to apply based on growth, that should be communicated before the service is performed, especially when we already agreed on a price. I don't have an issue paying for services that are discussed and agreed upon. I do have an issue with being charged additional fees after the work has already been performed without prior notice. Unfortunately, I will not be using Grass Genies going forward. If you're considering using this service, I would recommend confirming the price before every cut, because the amount you initially agree to may not be the amount. I also noticed a small area of my grass in the front was missed which added to my overall disappointment.
