Seriously, look at the other reviews, I wish I had. They take your card and charge you $20/ month. If they help the kids, then that's all fine, right? Except they won't let you cancel. Even after you cancel they still charge you. There is no number to call, so you're stuck trying to email someone who may or may not write you back. I am guessing the other reviewers were either paid or work for the company. It's rare to find a place with excellent reviews and then terrible ones. read more

If you knew me, you'd know math isn't my forte. I really enjoyed the in-depth examples that StudyPug provides. If I had issues following, I could just rewind and rewatch. Also since the videos are available online on my phone, I can fill in the time between my commute (about 1 hr long) with online math help via the videos. For less than $10 I got practice problems and guided examples. Honestly, it's a steal considering how much it helped me with both my homework and my exams. I used it for university courses since I had compulsory math classes for my faculty. read more

Probably the worst tutoring service ever. It seems like all they are after is your money. The manager is likely the rudest individual I've met, yelling at my son and myself blaming my son for an inability to understand the content rather than helping him through it. Very discouraging. I've had many children and have visited many tutoring centres, and this centre is by far, the most disappointing. read more

An online tutoring app makes so much sense in this day and age! Kids are glued to their online devices and prefer learning at their own pace. I told my cousin about StudyPug and she had her kids (in grade 8 and grade 10) give it a try because I knew they were struggling with math and I hear some homework sessions takes them forever to complete. My nieces have a weekend tutor but it's nice to have math help when you need it on a Wednesday night! Sometimes their mum would sit with them and walk them through the solution in the video if they get super frustrated. (#tigermom) But more recently they've been able to get through their homework pretty easily. Visible improvement! It costs them $25 per tutoring session per teen, which I hear is pretty good for tutoring these days, but hey if it only costs them an extra $20 per month for all the math help they need, why not! They're considering dropping the weekend tutoring all together, but we'll see how the girls progress in the next few months :) read more

Don't get ripped off!!! If I could give this company a zero I would. All I have to say is I started a free trial account. It was not helpful whatsoever. I canceled the same night. Come to find out I had been being charged for almost one year. I called customer service two times. After no contact back after the first call. Apparently they don't care about stealing anyone's money. As I said I canceled the first night. Something must have went wrong. As a struggling college student every penny counts to get through school. I was unable to ever talk to someone in charge. This is their final reply: Thank you for your inquiry. I confirmed with my colleagues, and she was already talked to our manager yesterday, which the instruction is refunded 3 months. We have refunded your payment of $59.97 USD. The refund should appear on your next credit card statement or online statement a few days from now. We look forward to helping you in the future! Hahahaha!! I opened that account 9 mo. Super helpful site - lot of free content, unlimited high school math help for cheap! My Gr 9 cousin was having trouble with math, but math tutors are really expensive. I got her on StudyPug, and she absolutely loved it. It's Cheap - unlimited for only $9.99 a month, cheaper then 20 min of a tutor's time. Complete - has all BC math help organized for her to use Easy to use - my cousin was using it on her ipod in minutes works - this is actually very good help! Her marks are improving, and I don't have to tutor her now, lol! For $10, it's a pretty safe bet for trying out. Beats me having to sit with her and vet her tutors one at a time. StudyPug works really well, my kids and their friends are all using it for their math homework help. My kid in grade 10 desperately needs math help for her provincial exams, and we found StudyPug to help her. This site works just as well, if not better than her previous math tutor, and it's definitely less hassle then tutoring centres (yes, we tried them too). She hates being driven after school to more school, and I hate driving her too :) At first I was hesitant with a web product, but since it's local, why not for 10$. Daughter was accessing her math help whenever she is working on her homework, or as she is studying for her quiz and provincial exam. The product is easy to use and the lessons are top notch. I am particularly surprised as to how good the quality of their videos. Even I understood their math lessons. It's definitely a great deal esp. with the amount of lessons they have inside. I am so so so so thankful I found StudyPug! I have been using it for about 4 weeks now (So an update will come!!) . I am using it for my University Calculus I class and I honestly cannot say enough good things.... There are different teachers for different level courses, and I noticed some jump around different subjects, but for Calculus it has primarily been Dennis- who I recently found out is the Owner!! If you are lucky enough to be studying a topic that Dennis teaches, you will completely understand how this business has been doing so well AND how the overall "style and look" of the website is so eye-catching AND fun! For many, like myself, it's hard to believe that math can be fun, but Dennis' style of teaching, as well as the other 2 instructors I have viewed, is simply very very very easy to follow and enjoyable to see. From jokes, to visualization & memorizing techniques, to mouth noises (a lot of "wooooshes" and "BAMs!") - I am very much enjoying spending 1-5 hours on my homework/studying a night. ENJOYING IT. StudyPug is fun, innovative, and personally, a HUGE help. As stated, I have only been using it for a short period of time, so I will update end or mid-semester. THANK YOU Dennis and StudyPug Team! Ps.: My only suggestion would be to add more Practice questions. They tend to be few in number and TOO similar to the Lessons themselves. I got the try 14 days free opened the first day and never used it again, one day after the 14 days was over I canceled. Their "policy" stating they don't do refunds but instead they gave me credit for something I will never use. The trigonometry and calculus is simple knowledge does not help with harder problems NOT worth it. read more

My kids are using studypug. Older one used it for her math 10 provincial math exam. The other are using it to pass grade 8. There are lot of really expensive centers out there. My kids tried a few. They didn't work, but it costs a lot of money. It's very frustrating spending money and seeing your kids continue to struggle. The math 10 provincial prep at studypug worked well. I would say the easiest math help she had used. I would recommend it. My youngest one - no bad word yet. I will keep an eye on it. read more

Terrible website to use it. Not worth for $1 to pay for and I paid $89 to use 6 month but I often visit the page and I found difficult to use it. I have complained to the company and respond wasn't even polite. They disagree with me to refund my money back. read more
