Dairy free cod, potatoes and the best green beans!!
    Arinne B.

Lovely ambiance and even better food. I opted to sit on the left, away from the bar and it had a nice, upscale cabin vibe. I had a view of the immaculate kitchen, where I watched the chef work his magic with my meal. I'm dairy-free and my waitress kindly checked out the suitability of two options. Highly recommend the cod and they made the dairy-free potatoes pictured especially for me, as the featured potatoes contained real butter. These were also probably the best green beans I've ever had in my life.

Food was really good other than the scallop being burnt on one side and translucent but was well enough to eat. Service was great our waitress was kind and professional. Ambiance Laid back even though it was 3/4 full. Cost was up there though that's why the 4 of 5 stars. $149 for 4

I think the appetizers were better than the main meal. Drinks were delicious and dessert was great. The service was fabulous. Make sure to make a reservation! We sat at the bar, still a nice atmosphere!!!

I visited this restaurant and sat at the bar. It was on a Thursday night and they had a fairly full house. I was able to sit down immediately though. The beer selection is good with some nice local and non-local craft beers. For me being in Massachusetts meant that I had to order clam chowder. This version did not disappoint. It had a couple of different ingredients in it that still allowed it to remain very authentic, but gave it just enough difference to make it unique, very tasty and I would recommend it. The grilled shrimp were very large nice size they were cooked properly and the preparation was delicious. My only little criticism was the amount of olive oil that they left or put in the bottom of the plate. It did ruin the bread. That being said, I would just order it without the olive oil next time inside the restaurant is nice and reminds you of a typical Massachusetts style fish house. The staff was attentive and worked in teams to get things out quickly.

Solid seafood place, thanks to Yelp for leading us here. We had the crab claws with mix of veggies and sausages sprinkled with old bay. Pretty tasty and filling. Also the salmon with mustard glaze was good. We saw others having ginormous fish and chips, if you like that. Very good fresh and plentiful seafood place, was surprised.

Shrimp tacos and fish tacos were both delicious! Everything was so fresh and crunchy. French fries not in the picture but they were made from real potatoes and delicious. Ambiance was great but I took it to go, service was great they were kind and fast.

Thanksgiving is ONE week away and I am feeling GRATEFUL!! Can we take a moment to appreciate just how lucky we are to live in a town with such incredible restaurants? Each one offers something unique, making it nearly impossible to pick a favorite! That said, I want to give a special shoutout to Sturbridge Seafood. The flavors, the care in every dish, and the welcoming atmosphere never fail to impress. If you haven't tried it yet, you're in for a treat--whether it's their fresh seafood, creative specials, or a perfectly crafted cocktail -the lemon meringue meringue martini!!! Tonight I had the swordfish with the arugula salad, and honestly it was the best meal I have had in YEARS!!!!!

I stopped in to Sturbridge Seafood on my way home from a doctor's appointment in Milbury MA yesterday. This restaurant is a favorite of mine for years . It had just opened and there was just one couple at a table in the bar area. I was met by a very pleasant waitress/hostess/bartender. I wanted to sit at the bar. When I'm alone I prefer the bar. Sometimes you can strike up a great conversation sitting at the bar. My drink order was filled immediately and I was given a menu. I ordered fresh oysters that were from MA . They were served on a bed of ice with cocktail sauce, horseradish and one other dipping sauce I didn't recognize and fresh lemon. They were wonderful. I ordered the fried scallop dinner sans French fries paying homage to my cardiologist. I don't normally order fried food but here they are done so perfectly with a light breading and cooked t perfection. In place of the French fries I received a generous amount of cole slaw. It was perfect and not overburdened with mayo. A construction worker sat a couple of stools from me. He graciously picked my cane when it dropped to the floor. We talked about work and how they had to quit for the day when the temperature hit 93 degrees . This is when OSHA requires the site to be closed. I got the impression that he would have continued working because he wasn't being paid under these circumstances. A good experience once again and pleasant conversation, a perfect lunch!

Deep fried scallops, fries, and coleslaw, delicious!

Once again, this place really rocks, especially if they have the bib seafood with lobster. Also the best oysters and French fries.

Good food but pricey and not a lot of space so you won't easily get a table during peak times.

Now I was back in the area and decided to come in and try. The place was a lot more like a bar and restaurant than expected. Lots of seats and a hostess station up front. We went straight back to the bakery counter to order up some sweets and drinks. I got a snickers latte, and a peanut butter bar. Missus got a carrot cake pop, a coconut and chocolate danish, a custom green tea. Drinks came out quick, and we got our sips and bites in. The carrot cake pop was tasty. Very much a carrot cake in flavor and consistency. Warm spices, cream cheese chocolate coating, it was the best bite. The peanut butter bar, too sweet. I prefer to taste the peanut butter rather than the sugar. The same was true of the coconut danish. Too sugary for the dessert, but a good amount of coconut filling. The drinks were also pretty sweet as well. The coffee got masked by the sugar and the caramel overpowered. Wasn't bad, just very sweet focused. Pricing was high, but that area of the state is always a little pricier. It's a decent sweets shack, but I prefer a little balance for the price paid.

We entered and were immediately impressed by the decor and setting. You really feel like you entered a time capsule from a different era, everything is beautiful. We were seated in a cute little area. We ordered our drinks and we really wanted the fish chowder for our app, but they didn't have any (so disappointing). My husband decided on the chili and nothing caught my eye for an app, but I had some bites of the chili and it was very very good! For dinner my husband picked the Beef and Guinness Stew and I picked the Fish and Chips. My fish was very good, but it said it came with hand cut fries and there was no way they were hand cut, they tasted like everything other frozen fries I've had and they were really skimpy on the fries. My husband's Beef and Guinness Stew was awful, he said the meat was very grizzly and tough. We really enjoyed our experience dining in such a beautiful place, we might come back in the summer and give them another try.
