Did she ever get out of her kennel??? That was not the case at Prairie Rose. The staff are amazing and very honest. They monitor your pet, put them on a daily routine and on top of that, they set up a profile sheet on your dog for future visits. And the cost to leave my dog there was competitively priced. Upon arrival, we noticed dried accidents in the reception area. The building is very run down. There were dogs in outside cages, under what was more of a make shift lean-to. There was no lights or natural light. Dirt/mud ground under cages. Terrible for those dogs. As we booked the highest level of care- which was supposed to include 4 outdoor visits, 2-15 min one on one playtime, a 5 min pet before bed, and a larger indoor cage with a bed off ground, i hoped my dog wouldn't be put out in those cold, wet, dark, metal cages.. Later that evening, i was feeling u easy about leaving our pet in poor conditions so i tried to email the glen park to ask for a picture to ensure she was settled into her "luxury suite". NO RESPONSE. the next morning, i tried again. NO RESPONSE. i tried a third time the day after. Same NO RESPONSE. When we picked her up, her items were all packed in a table with others. How long had she been without her blanket food and water? She reaked of urine and was filthy. What was most upsetting was that 3 of her food packages were still there as well as her treats which were for am and pm. She has lost 4 pounds in 5 days. They provide no pictures or updates on your pet-even if you try to request them. Worst facility! DO NOT think people are overreacting with negative posts.

They now play with other dogs, which I never thought I'd see! They come home so happy and now when I ask them "Wanna go to daycare?!" They run for the door. The floors in the dog area are heated and they can choose when to go out or in. The staff keeps me updated on how they're doing all the time. I was in Cuba and they even emailed me a photo of them. What kennel can you think of that would do that?!?! As soon as we go into the daycare all 3 of there tails start wagging and they instantly forget about me and run to the staff!! HAHA!!! I can't praise this place enough. Even if you live in Edmonton and its a little out of your way it's so very worth it. Changed my pugs completely, plus it's nice after daycare having them pooped out!
