I am delighted with my new style. One of the main reasons I picked this place is because they have a website with the prices outlined and some shots of previous work. They don't take card so it meant I knew how much I needed to bring with me before I left the house. They're a small salon but you're not on display for all the word to see so the place feels intimate and friendly. Ohh and also they do just the best coffee. I really do recommend them to anyone who's in Galashiels and nearby.

Rendezvous is a female only hairdresser and also has a tanning booth within the premises. I was happy with the haircut I received here. I have also had my hair coloured here and I was a bit vague as to what I wanted but was happy with the outcome. The only bad point about this shop is that one of the cutting seats faces out to the window and you feel a bit on display while you get your cut! It probably wont bother most people but I felt a bit embarassed there. Another down point is that they only accept cash or cheques which can be inconvenient if you are getting something pricey done. There are cheaper places to get your hair cut in Galashiels however this place has a nice atmosphere and seems to do a consistently good job.

I was once quoted £50 for this privilege in a London salon. I mean what the hell? So imagine my relief at finding Hairway a down to earth, local hairdresser, offering to dry trim both my and my other half's hair, for only £8 each. In fact, she was done so quickly, she charged us only £10 for the pair of us. Bargainous. Looks like a really old-fashioned salon, and seems to be the place the older ladies of Kelso frequent.
