My son received the best haircut ever here with such attention to detail, and a recommendation that kept his best interest in mind because she understood texture and curl patterns. Everyone in the shop has been extremely nice, and have great relationships with their customers. Feels like a barber shop you see in movies that make you feel like you're home and in good hands. Their prices are fair and reasonable, which is appreciated and will keep us loyal as customers. There isn't a standard sign out front, but they have the barber symbol in the window as an identifier. Some barbers there use the app 'The Cut' at the time of this review, and it is a convenient way to set an appointment and still have a productive day with the family. Some of the regulars appeared to receive a much warmer and more attentive experience, but as first-time customers, that was not the case for us at all. I came with my husband who got a haircut. When we initially stopped by the week prior just to make the appointment, the front desk staff was friendly and welcoming, and the shop itself looked cute with a relaxed, chill ambiance. It gave the impression of a place with good vibes and professionalism, which made us feel comfortable booking. Unfortunately, that positive first impression did not carry through during the actual visit. My husband's barber, Matt, had extremely poor bedside manner. He came across as unpleasant, dismissive, and overly cocky, which made the entire experience uncomfortable from start to finish. When you're paying for a service, the baseline expectation is at least a professional and courteous attitude, and that was completely lacking here. It felt unprofessional and unnecessary. On top of that, the haircut itself wasn't even good -- it was actually pretty crappy, which made the poor attitude even harder to overlook. If the service had at least been excellent, it might have helped offset the experience, but that simply wasn't the case. I also shared that I wanted a low tapered. You went way too high brother - not even blend with a low fade as I ask. Yeah I didn't want to make a scene at the store. So I paid the 35 and gave the 20% cash tip and nodded my head it was ok but honestly, it's a bad cut. I couldn't say anything negative at the time of the haircut because it would probably made u upset. I'm sure u cut a lot of hairs and have great customers and receive great reviews. I always make a point to be 5-10 minutes early to appointments. There are barbers in this shop who are supposed to take walk ins, the whole purpose of making an appointment is to fit a haircut into a busy schedule. I have been shafted too many times at this shop to continue spending hard earned money here. I get cuts every week, and tip well, I will go somewhere else that values their customers time and appointments. EDIT: After leaving this review on google I have found someone left a review for the same issue just yesterday. Truly astounding. Tracy did not show even an ounce of remorse when I got up and left today as I sat waiting 45 minutes past my appointment time with someone else still in the chair. If this was a one off occurrence or maybe twice I'd consider it a non issue. Well over half my appointments over the last 6 months went just like this.
