The first thing I noticed upon entering was the display of wigs on shelves sitting behind the desk. I don't normally see that in beauty parlors. Off to the side I saw they had hair extensions and a shelf for hair care products. Another thing I noticed that each hair station was in a private room as opposed to being "out on the floor" for more privacy. My appt was with Kristen and she took me to one of the rooms to discuss wigs. I didn't want human hair because of the cost factor and because they are a lot of maintenance. The only plus side is that they are long lasting. She suggested that a quality synthetic is the way to go. She noted that synthetic wigs are easy care and have an average 6 month span with proper care and usage. Still I could get more than 6 months depending on usage. We discussed wig care and I was told never to put your wig on a mannequin head. Instead they would provide me with a wig stand free with my purchase and style and wash my wig the first time. Their synthetic wigs cost more than what you would find online suppliers but they are well made and designed to resemble not only hair but the scalp as well. She brought in a couple of wigs and the first one I tried on was "love at first sight!" I had always wanted layered hair but with my thinning scalp could not do so. Now I can get the opportunity. The wig had layers and a lot of body that made me feel like a new person! Care is basically simple-use a vent brush with tips and a spray bottle of water. Two squirts and I'm done! It can't get easier than that. She matched my hair color, ordered my wig and told me it would be there in about a week's time. Once received then I would be called for a return visit for try on and adjustments. Wig orders require 50% down and balance due upon receipt. If you have medical reimbursement through your health insurance then they will give you an itemized receipt to submit to them. I also got to meet John the owner, and he went over some additional questions I had regarding scalp care and whether or not a wig cap or even a sleep cap was necessary. Everyone was friendly and very helpful to answer all my questions. John Rutter hair solutions is a full service hair salon that can meet any of your beauty parlor needs. Cards and checks are accepted as well as cash. I'm looking forward to getting my new wig and highly recommend this business!

Unfortunately, my first experience at Tuscan Sun was incredibly disappointing from start to finish. I arrived early so I could review the brochure and choose the right facial. I expected an aesthetician who could guide me, ask questions about my skin, and make recommendations. Instead, the aesthetician seemed unsure about the services and unable to explain anything in detail. I ended up suggesting options -- either the caviar facial or the brightening facial -- and she simply chose between them without providing any real consultation. I also mentioned wanting her advice on Botox for my forehead lines. Her immediate response was dismissive: "No, you don't need that -- I have more lines than you." That was not professional, nor was it an actual consultation. During the service itself, she never asked about my skincare routine, what products I use, or what concerns I have. She didn't recommend anything for maintenance or future care. And to make matters worse, she barely touched my face. It genuinely didn't feel like I had a facial at all. When the service ended, I had a thick layer of exfoliant still on my skin and globs of product left on my lips. I had to go to the restroom afterward to clean my own face. For $175, I received absolutely nothing of value. When I walked out of the room and asked about next steps, she simply said, "You can go down and check out." No aftercare. No guidance. No interest. At checkout, I asked the front desk staff whether I should wash my face because of all the product left on me. They looked at me like I was asking something strange. The entire experience made me feel unwelcome and honestly embarrassed -- like they didn't want me there at all. I walked in thinking I might sign up for a monthly membership. I walked out knowing I will never go back. This was hands-down the worst spa experience I have ever had -- and I moved here from New Jersey, where I've had many facials over the years. I've never had anything close to this level of unprofessionalism and lack of care. Never again
