Over the last year, Su Casa has had some management/staffing changes, and it has gotten so bad about messing up orders, forgetting food, etc. We kept going back because we like the food (we always do to go breakfast tacos) but it got so bad that I would have to unload the entire bag in the parking lot to make sure they didn't forget a portion of my order. And since they don't label their tacos I would have to unwrap everything to check. I used to get bean/cheese/bacon tacos but they consistently messed it up. I tried to simplify, and the last time I just ordered bean and cheese......and I got bacon and bean. We are finally giving up. It's not worth the hassle. read more

Horrible experience. My family and I came on a Sunday, and I was understanding that I'd would be busier than usual. However, we sat down and when the waitress came to order our drinks she turned around before I could even ask for a coffee. She comes back and brings everyone a glass of water. It was busier, so I knew she was just frantic. I ordered a caldo with beef and my parents ordered menudos. We waited 40 minutes for a food and not once did our waitress come back to ask if we needed anything. Some other waitress brings us the wrong food and we have to tell her what we ordered again. We get our food (the menudo undoubtedly was sitting there for a while), and were highly disappointed. My soup had a giant head of cabbage, other mushy substances and meat with only fat. My mother ordered her menudo with less meat and only got meat. It was an awful experience. Again, I understand it was busy, but I would've appreciated if the staff would've been kinder of the whole situation. NOT RECOMMEND read more

Luv this place. Been here multiple times. Great mexican, great staff and pleasant atmosphere. Their mainly open for breakfast and lunch. But they started staying open Friday nights! I've had multiple items off the menu and never disappointed. They serve thicker corn chips (to die for) and their salsa is just right for me, but I've been told I have a higher spice tolerance, so be aware! Their fajitas have an amazing flavor, not just heated meats, rice and beans are cooked to perfection. Never been disappointed here. I'll be back. read more

We met our daughter's family in Seguin so we could take our granddaughter home for the weekend. Su Casa had good Yelp reviews, so we gave it a try. It was very disappointing. Huevos Rancheros were unlike any I've ever had. Basically a few diced potatoes, canned refried beans and 2 eggs sunny side up all laid out separately on the plate with a little cup of bland salsa on the side. My wife said her migas were horrible. Our granddaughter liked her pancakes, which looked good. But we won't be coming back. read more

Great find! If you find yourself in Seguin, TX, give Su Casa Cafe a try. We showed up on their 13th Anniversary and it was a celebration. We were greeted with agua frescas and free raffle tickets at the door. We came in to find mariachis and a friendly staff and a dining room buzzing with happy customers. Chips and salsa was spicy and delicious. The guacamole is a must. We had breakfast tacos and Huevos a la Mexicana. Delicioso! read more

Loved by everyone in our party of seven! I highly recommend the chicken Caldo. It was perfectly seasoned and the chicken and vegetables were spot on. The staff was friendly, and the owner took pictures of families for Mother's Day and gave each table a framed copy of the picture. It was such a nice touch. read more

It's hard to find a Mexican restaurant that really mirrors food that I grew up around but this one is pretty darn close. Here, you can never go wrong with breakfast tacos. Their enchiladas and fajitas are also delicious. But what really makes it for me is the taste of the tortillas. Tastes close to the way mama used to make them. read more

Su Casa is my favorite mexican food restaurant in Seguin. Locally owned and they recently moved to a new, updated building. My favorite things on the menu are the many breakfast choices (served all day). Their lunch and dinner menu is great too. Never really had anything I didn't like! read more

I came into Su Casa, the waitress waited on people that came in behind me, I ordered breakfast and not once during the meal did I get an offer of refill on my coffee. Great find! Good food and a great value. We wanted "real food" on a Sunday morning while we traveled on I-10. We found Su Casa open & it was delicious. And since it was Mothers Day they treated me to a chocolate covered strawberry and cookies! Even more hospitality awaited! The owner took our family photo and demanded we wait "5 more minutes". She came back with the photo in a frame! What amazing customer service. They genuinely appreciate your business. We are native Texans but now live in Arizona. Every time we come to visit my father in law we ALWAYS have breakfast tacos here. Breafast tacos do not exist in Arizona (nor does good mexican food for that matter) so we stuff ourselves here. Best breakfast tacos I have ever had! Will be back for sure..... read more

I loved this place when it first opened. Good portions for the price, etc. The waitresses were top notch as well. We now go here when we visit family in TX. The prices are OUTRAGEOUS!!!!!! The customer service is not as good as it was when they first opened. I will no longer eat here. For one chalupa plate and a enchilada Al la carte and a tea, it was over $17. I ask for extra cheese on the chalupa, of course I will pay for it, but my request gets ignored. read more

On our many road trips to Houston, we tend to stop at the same places to eat. We really wanted Mexican food and Yelp lead us to highly rated Su Casa Cafe in Sequin. We were warmly greeted by Mary Ann, the owner and her staff. We decided to sit outside in their back patio, shaded and cool so we could take our little dog, Lucy out of the vehicle. All of the food is made fresh right there in their kitchen. The hot and fresh chips were very good to start us out. We enjoyed the Senorita plate which was very plentiful and a pork chop and small bowl of hot borracho beans both very well seasoned. They brought us homemade corn tortillas some of the best I have ever had. This is definitely a place we will return. Friendly staff and a family owned business worth supporting. It was worth driving less than 5 miles from I-10. read more

PLEASE DONT EAT HERE!! I will never eat at this Restaurant again. The food, the service, and management was absolutely HORRIBLE! The food: I ordered Menudo, and received a bowl with slimy something, with a HUGE bone in it, all in a bowl of grease. I asked for another bowl they took the bowl away, and after 5 mins of it not returning, the waitress said that they were getting me a fresh bowl. Dont you have a big pot of this stuff? I ordered corn tortillas, and received flour, when asked for corn AGAIN, they took the flour, and never returned with the corn. The service, Even worse. we walked in, the restaurant was 1/3 full, 10 mins after sitting, we received menus, and placed a drink order.. very difficult, we ordered water. 10 mins later it showed up. We sat for 15 mins waiting on a bowl of pre-made soup, and 2 tacos. The management.. or lack there of. The staff, had absolutely no direction, or supervision. When we informed the manager, i was fed a lame excuse of new computer system. The computer system seemed to be working fine.. It was probably the stacks of plates, and bowls waiting in the window, and not going out was probably the real reason things were slow. The manager said she would go over and fix it. Never did. PATHETIC FOOD, PATHETIC MANAGEMENT. There are to many GOOD/GREAT mexican restaurants in Seguin to waste your time and appetite at this place. read more

We happened in to this busy local joint for lunch during our drive from Houston to San Antonio. You can't go wrong when you see a packed parking lot at lunch. We stopped at Su Casa Cafe because of the reviews but were disappointed. My daughters order was completely wrong and the waitress blamed us for ordering the wrong dish, really. Chips were never offered, wife asked for salsa and it never came and my other daughters taco had spoiled chorizo. Most of the problems stem from the waitresses being overwhelmed by the amount of tables the have to tend to. Manager needs to address that. read more

If you can get service, the food is ok. We have been there three times and each has been a strike, so three strikes and YOU'RE OUT! Each time it takes 10-15 minutes before you even get a drink order. This last time we waited about 20 minutes and we finally got a server to come over. Before she did though, she had chips and salsa for us but another table (that already had chips and salsa) asked her for the salsa that was for us. I could not believe it when she gave it to them instead of telling them she would bring the more. Then we sat for another 10 minutes with no salsa or drink order. We finally got up and left the restaurant for any other place. I'm never going back! Ever! Regarding the food and its quality, I would say it is decent but way overpriced. What gives this place a below 2 stars rating is the poor service. You have to get someone's attention if you run out of drinks or salsa (can you tell we like lots of salsa?). The service is the worst I have ever experienced in Seguin. I guess my family will never know if they fixed their poor service issue. read more
