Financing guy Patrick got me very close to the number I wanted for payments and improved the interest rate from what was originally agreed. Went for an oil change and appeared i need a repair about $3000 dollars for my Subaru VX. David was showing me of a video taken from other car that had issues cracked bottom threatening by saying my vehicle is nOt drivable and I should leave it for repair. Showing scaring video from youtube with vehicle had their tire off. My gut Feeling always write! Went to pick it up and David kept me 2 hours. He was rude! seemed upset to cancel my service, delayed and act very strange. Finally before i got my keys he said : You will hear rattling and noise that wasnt there... cause mechanic start putting it apart. I made sure to text David and called him asking to DO NOT START LABOUR ON MY CAR UNTILL I CALL. He still did not hear me. Finally took my car to my mechanic to get second opinion and all the claims done by David was a lie. That is not all. Don't have time to explain everything happened in details. In 2022 when we were having our car summer to winter tires changed, Whitby Subaru did a Service Inspection, it was their suggestion, the cost 900 bucks before tax. The car goes in 2x per year for oil change tires, anyway 2 years and only 10,000 kms later, after they said the brakes were good, we took the car in to get the winter tires put on, keep in mind the car has been there 3 times since the 900.00 service inspection for tire changes, they tell us the Rotors are shot and need to be replaced because they have grooves in them, I went there and looked and yes in fact they had huge groves in them , but how can that be in less than 2 years and only 10,000 km. The car is driving a couple times a week to go shopping and running errands (my wife's car) For them to get that bad it would take a problem longer than 2 years to do that kind of damage, so my guess is when they said they did the brake inspection, they never even looked at them. When I asked how this can happen they said the cause was rust and not driven enough, hmmm not sure how a bit of surface rust can cause that kind of damage especially when the car is driven regularly and the pads clean the surface rust off when you brake at the first stop light or sign. To be certain about my suspicion I started googling surface rust on Rotors causing Grooves in car Rotors, nothing came up identifying that it could happen, only pitting if the rust is left on the rotors for very prolonged periods of time, a couple of years. I also had AI research this for me and AI said the same thing, AI did give 4 reason that could cause groves in Car Rotors, not one of them was rust. I could be wrong, as well as google and AI could be wrong but this does not make sense to me. I paid them too much to just change my tires from season to season, I thought they would be professional and at least have a visual inspection to make sure all was good, if they were why didn't they see this last April when we put the summer tires on, why didn't they see this last October even to give us a heads up to let us know it was happening. They dropped the ball they are happy to take your money for their mistakes. I use to do all my own work on my cars but I'm 60 now and I don't feel like doing Alternator, timing belts, brakes, cv joints or even oil changes any more I have a good idea what I'm talkin about and if I don't, I have a few friends that are auto mechanics that do. Great experience buying a car. A couple years ago I purchased a 2017 WRX. Jeff was the salesman and he was such a pleasure to work with. I never felt pressured and he wasnt pushy at all. He explained everything thoroughly and let me test drive the vehicle before I bought it. Great guy, you should talk to him if you're thinking of buying. Parts/Service wise, it's sort of a strange set up. One long counter for both and it doesn't seem very efficient. Fairly long wait times to get consultants. read more

Emailed service@ccmotors.ca for quotes on maintenance. 1) No auto reply was received stating timelines for reply (as is best practice for any email business transaction. 2) Been over a week and still no reply. Honestly, I could call service but if this is how they are with email, how much better are they with anything else? Even though I live in the area, I'm going to Scarborough Subaru for all my future maintenance AND I WILL PROACTIVELY POST ALL OVER THE INTERNET AT EVERY POSSIBLE REVIEW SITE IN EXISTENCE TO LET EVERYONE KNOW HOW inept and unprofessional C&C Motors are. Brutal experience. Was interested in a WRX. Did my research and was time to try the car since I WILL NOT buy a car without test driving it. Called before hand and was told could test the car. I do not make make spontaneous decisions and I am a careful shopper might I add. Once the sales guy understood that, I was denied a drive. I have bought 2 new cars in the past 10 years. I have been denied a test drive on my current car at several other dealerships before purchasing my current car which was bought new and with a cheque. Clearly I ended up buying the vehicle elsewhere. What is wrong with dealerships. Asked to speak to the manager after being denied from the sales guy (who said I could over the phone) who clearly didn't appreciate me wanting to test drive one of his cars since he wasn't making a sale. It amazes me how some places just don't know how to so do business. Could I have gone back to buy the car after the test drive, yes. Could I have decided to go with a new model, yes. Will I recommend this dealership for anything (especially after the other review here), hell no. Here's the mangers response. 'We will not send out a car for a test drive unless there is a chance for sale'. Guess he wants to take advantage of people who have no self control which they clearly train their staff to do. Let me explain what an educated car consumer does mr. manager. They research the cars. They speak to mechanics. They test drive the car. They make their decision. Clearly you do not understand that. 'But it's a WRX', the sales guy says to me insinuating that there's no need to try the car. Ha. They have an inferiority complex at C&C. I'm calling you out on it especially after the sales guy put words into my mouth when I clearly (verified by my wife) did not say I will not buy this vehicle today rather more then likely I will not. I'm surprised to hear J T. had such a bad experience. They must get a lot of people in there that are just interested in a joy ride, since the WRX/STi's are fun (and quick!) little cars, so they may be reluctant to just let everyone come in and rip around if they don't think that it would lead to a sale - it's a tough spot to be in, for sure. Before going to C&C, I actually tried a used car lot that had an older WRX for sale, and the owner wanted a $500 deposit on credit card before I would go out for a test drive - now THAT'S ridiculous. I bought my WRX from them a year ago, but it wasn't before test driving a couple different models, shopping around for a couple months, and then returning to test again and finally make my purchase. They were very helpful through the whole process, (though maybe a bit pushy at first, but I made it very clear I wasn't there to buy in the beginning). It's possible that since I came in already driving an Impreza, they didn't feel like I was just there to just screw around - I really don't know. Since buying the car, (used, 2009 WRX) I have experienced some re-occurring issues, (sure glad I got the extended Lubrico warranty with no deductible!) but they have been very helpful through the process and the warranty has covered everything, (including a new turbo and ECM). I have gotten to know a lot of the employees over the past year. From what I've experienced, they are good people; some of which I would call friends. So yes, I would definitely recommend them! :) read more

When I moved into Durham, I choose C&C Motors (Whitby Subaru) because of all the good reviews on this site. Well here's a bad one. I have been taking my 2015 Forester here for all of its scheduled maintenance, and have been paying dealer prices. A month ago, I was picking my husband up from the airport and heard a screeching sound when I stopped the car. He checked the brakes and found the left rear brake had seized and both rear brakes had ZERO pad left. ZERO. The last two times I'd taken the car in to C&C Motors, I'd asked them to check the brakes, as they felt off to me. Both times they told me they were fine. So my husband had to replace the pads himself - the car was undrivable. That was August. We really should have taken that as a sign to check their other "work," however unfortunately we did not. The car was last taken in for an oil change in late May, for which we were charged roughly $75. Today, two months and 2000 km ahead of the next recommended oil change, the oil light came on. This happened on the freeway, on the way to work. We got off the highway and my husband checked the oil - there was practically none in there, and what was in there was sludge black. They obviously did not change the oil at the May service, and quite possibly not the time before that either. Their incompetence could have ruined my motor. Let me assure you, C&C Motors of Whitby, it doesn't end with this review. I will tell everyone I know this story. Your complete disregard for doing your job has cost you my business, and earned you my enmity. Perhaps you're not bothered by this ... after all, Southern Ontario is so overpopulated, you would probably still have business even if you treated every single customer this way. However, be assured I will do what I can to spread the word. read more
