I already have a church that I attend but I have been meaning to visit this church so I am glad that I did. This is a Nigerian church so coming here was wonderful because I am Nigerian. Being here felt just like being back home in Nigeria. Memories from my childhood quickly came about and I was overjoyed with feelings of nostalgia. The service first started off with praise and worship, then a sermon message from the Pastor followed by more praise and worship. At midnight, we counted down the time and wished each other a happy new year. The hospitality is wonderful here - a woman at the door greeted me and then at the end of church, I was handed a gift because I was new. The gift consisted of 2 Christian books and a pocket calendar. I will be definitely back to visit.

Wow! We attend a small Unitarian Universalist church, so this cathedral boggled our minds! We went…read morefor the annual Boar's Head Festival. This was our first time. Took 3 kids, ages 9, 6, 2. It lasted about 90 minutes. There was a lot to watch. Only the 6 year old got antsy, and that was towards the end. The church is "T" shaped; try to sit as close to the intersection as possible, and you'll be able to see everything. The stained glass windows are amazing, although they required a bit of explaining to our UU kids. The "festival" is actually a pageant. The audience participates by singing. The program has all the words to the Christmas songs; we sang about 10. The show includes wonderful costumes on about 75 performers. They range from children to older adults. There were goats and camels, too! We will be attending next year also. Extra hints: get there about an hour early to get good seats, parking is limited also, the festival is free, but donations of any size are encouraged.

It's a wonderful Bible preaching church that has a very family feel among the congregation. Pastor Jenkins who retired 2 years ago was wonderful and now we have another wonderful preacher, Pastor Bill Giallorakis. I love how each month we have a visit from a different missionary, a missionary conference once a year, Wednesday night Masters Clubs for children, a teen group, a separate Ladies Bible study, a Men's Bible study, twice a month we have Faith In Action where we first have a meal, then either do work on the church, or take meals to elderly or people who are sick. I know I'm missing a lot, but this church is really in our heart and the people there are very special. If your looking for a church, please come visit us!
