Brats were rather cold--a telltale sign of them sitting there for a while. On the contrary, brotchen/buns on which meats were on were pretty good--crunchy outside and soft inside--just the way I like them. At a glance it looked they offered a very wide variety of sausages available in this shop, but we didn't try or buy anything...this time.

Most of the places I tried in Munich, Frankfurt, Heidelberg and Cologne were average at best. Germany is a little behind in the coffee scene. As for lunch, this place had a great selection of typical cafe food and it's all vegetarian. If you are looking around town, pop in and chill for a while. I'm keen to try the toasted sandwiches and bagels. The brownie I had was surprisingly better than the ones I buy in New York.
