I said to my daughter, "I didn't know there were €5 coins" and almost asked the man about it, but she really wanted to move on to our destination. I put the coin away. Imagine my surprise yesterday when I tried to pay part of my ticket for the Neue Nationalgalerie with the €5 coin only to have the woman at the ticket counter say that the coin was not a € coin! I took the attached images and ran them through Google, and it turns out the man at Habba Habba gave me a coin worth 5 Moroccan Dirham - currently valued at only US $0.51!! Then I learned SF taquerias were all over Deutschland. Maybe I should relocate ... Sadly, SF Burrito Co in Köln did not survive Covid. But cologne has other taquerias making magnificent burritos (to be reviewed later). I'd spotted Berlin's Dolores on previous trips but had not tried for a variety of reasons. Enter 2024 and in town with my youngest son (also raised on burritos). I was so excited to try Dolores. But truly saddened by the food experience. I grade burritos on a local curve. Had a hot salsa in it. But was hardly noticeable and not even hot. Basically, a burrito that was a so-so copy of Qdoba or Chipotle. So sad. So very sad. The dining experience - the place was packed on a beautiful Saturday. A Line spilling out to the street. Nowhere to sit inside or outside.
