What a find. As we were driving on Route 80 West, we finally decided to stop for a bite and…read morelanded on this place. You can not beat it. Small and cozy and everyone was extremely nice. It felt like you were in an old country dining room. I loved it. I got the country fried chicken with eggs and home fries. The kid got a sausage and egg sandwich and the wife got a western omelette. I got a side of scrapple, well.. because I never had it and had to try it. Everything was great. To top it off, the price can't be beat. For 3 people, it ran us $45. Back in NJ, we're dropping a C note easily on the breakfast that we had. On the way out, the had a little "snacks to go" and in there was..... crickets. Yes, real crickets. I had to get it. Didn't taste like anything but I can now say I've ate a cricket. If you're on a trip on Route 80 and looking for something outside the box... This is the place to try!

We really enjoyed our early dinner here. The menu had plenty of good choices ranging from…read moresandwiches and burgers to homestyle meals such as turkey or meatloaf. I had sirloin tips and mashed potatoes with brown gravy. The steak was cooked as I ordered and pretty tender for diner steak. We also shared an appetizer of chicken bites (zingers) which were very good. The dining area is charming and clearly from another era. The portions here are not 'you can eat for 3 days from 1 order' huge, they are filling but not probably shareable sized. Seniors will appreciate the smaller portions along with a drink and desert for a low price offered for 55 and over. I absolutely loved that I could eat my (non-senior) entire dinner and a few chicken bites without being too full for dessert. I had a single scoop sundae for desert and it was just what it sounded like. Including tax (but not tip) our 2 normal entrees, 2 soft drinks, 2 deserts and a shared appetizer came in just under 60 dollars. That's an extraordinary value in 2026.

The staff was interesting, and not in a good way. We ordered our ice cream. It took a bit longer to receive our ice cream than I would've thought it would take. Then, we looked over and my ice cream cone was just sitting there on the counter. They said nothing about where we would pick up our ice cream, or that my ice cream cone was done being made. My husband ordered a heath blizzard. He did not receive a heath blizzard. He received a snickers blizzard. We were disappointed with this establishment.

They were busy doesn't bother me at all. Got to window ice cream was sitting in an area they use for drive thru. Ice cream was melted. When the lady handed to me I asked her if it was melted this is what occurred. She took it flung it in trash said she was not dealing with this she doesn't have time made another one came to back to window with a attitude handed to me gave her the money she flung change at me. I asked her her name which was Sierra I asked her if she was the Manager she said yes. Then followed up with well your ice cream was remade by me so you should be fine slammed window in my face. If she is the manager I feel sorry for the young employees there. This is not how an adult or manager should act If she is the manager. I will not be going back to the location. Sure it may be just 1 ice cream cone but keep doing this to others and it will add up. Thank you for not wanting me to go back to where I enjoyed daily. I have no time for ignorant disrespectful behavior.

FOOD: We had come here on a Sunday afternoon at around 2:00…read morepm, while driving through on our way to Washington, D.C. I had settled on the Crispy Colonel Sandwich With Wedges ($5.99), while my husband had settled on the Three-Chicken Tenders With Mashed Potatoes & A Biscuit ($5.00). Instead of getting a soft drink, I had decided on water, which was readily available at the drink station; my husband had decided on Pepsi. In terms of the Crispy Colonel Sandwich, it was well-made, tasting fresh and delicious, along with being a good size, filling-me up for the next few hours. The Wedges were just okay, but they were a bit too soft for my liking, I would have enjoyed if they were crunchier (as I love crunchy fries better then soft ones). My husband enjoyed the Chicken Tenders as they were large, and crispy, along with being easy to dip in the Ketchup. The Mashed Potatoes were a good amount, with a generous helping of Gravy poured on top, along with a tasty Biscuit. In terms of the beverages, the water didn't taste good; it tasted more of juice as opposed to water. I was a tad disappointed in the water however, I just decided to drink a bottle of my own instead. Overall, the food was pretty-good, considering the price that we had paid for it. We did enjoy having the unlimited drink station available at our disposal, which my husband used to fill-up on Pepsi before we headed-out on the road again. ATMOSPHERE: This restaurant was situated on a road off of the main highway going through Pennsylvania. It was attached to a convenience store which also sold lunch items, along with beverages. It wasn't too busy at the restaurant, and we were able to find a seat immediately upon arriving. We found that the restaurant was mostly quite clean, and we enjoyed the comfort of the seating as we dined. It also wasn't too loud, which we liked, as we usually like to dine in quieter situations as opposed to louder ones. SERVICE: Upon arrival, we were greeted by the cashier, who gave us some time to choose our items as we were speaking with her. She was kind at all times, and thanked us for our visit as we were getting our food. We noticed that the staff seemed pleasant to all guests, and were grateful for our stay. COST: Crispy Colonel Sandwich With Wedges ($5.99) + Three-Chicken Tenders With Mashed Potatoes & A Biscuit ($5.00) + Tax = $11.65 WOULD YOU RETURN? If I were in a hurry and needed something quick, I would definitely give this place another shot. The prices were good, and the food was pretty decent as well!
