The employees aren't particularly friendly. We stood in line for quite a while. The food however was good.

They have a few tables inside and outside, plus it's on a walking only street so it's chill and calm. When ordering a local told me everything is good here and the place was filled, which is always a good sign when trying a new place. Staff was friendly and prices were great. My friend and I tried a few baked goods - some cookies and a brownie and we loved it all. The brownies reminded me of ones my mom used to make with powdered sugar on top. Hogaza Hogaza is a nice little bakery to grab some coffee and eats in Ensenada!

It's an adorable little coffee and pastry shop with outdoor seating, and next door is a Thrifty's ice cream shop (closed when we went by). There are fresh flower bouquets for sale out front. Inside, there is a beautiful selection of cakes, pastries, and fresh breads, as well as coffees, sandwiches and breakfast entrees. There are a few tables inside, and would make a great place to dine with friends or do some work. I picked up some pastries and they were all great, and the Iced Coco Mate Latte was creamy and delicious and not too sweet. Staff was friendly, and I got by with my mediocre high school Spanish. This would be the first restaurant I ever have breakfast at in Ensenada and it did not disappoint…read more The style is somewhat American but the menu seems very Ensenada like a blend I call: AngloSpanish I had something called enfrijoladas, which was like a wet taco in bean sauce with shredded chicken inside and topped with chorizo, avocado and sour cream. All very heavy, all very filling. My daughter had an Oreo milkshake, which she loved and the combo which is 2 eggs, bacon and pancakes. The waiter brought sweet pastries in a basket and placed it on the table, along with our order of coffee. We obviously grabbed it and began to eat it. Thinking it was part of what we had ordered. Turns out it was not, she at the end said: oh I forgot to charge you the bread so yeah, way to scam the guest bringing the dessert straight to the table. That is the minus star. Other than that the place was clean, spacious and has like an IHOP feeling, except they have a kids are and everything is in Spanish (although SD IHOP's be full on Spanish too lol). The price was pretty good too. Overall I recommend it, I might check it out again next time we are in Ensenada.
