Extremely disappointing experience -- twice. I'm staying nearby and gave this Subway a second chance, but I regret it. The first time I visited, I was met with rude customer service. Despite opening at 8:00 AM, I was told I couldn't get any breakfast sandwiches because the oven "wasn't heated yet." Nearly an hour and a half after opening? That's unacceptable. Even more frustrating was the attitude from the staff. No greeting, just dirty looks. When one employee asked another to help me, she looked me up and down with a snarky expression and made me feel completely uncomfortable. Yup! When ordering off the menu, I always get the Egg on Flatbread for breakfast; then request egg whites in place of eggs, skip the cheese, and add avocado instead. Please avoid this Subway at all costs. The Subway is in a sketchy patch of Ft. Lauderdale. I felt like I was in Druid Hills of Baltimore for a second. The Gallery of the Beach is an outdated ruins of a strip mall. The bathrooms in the Gallery at the Beach have holes in the walls and the walls are oozing with dirt and grime. The entire establishment looks like it would be a good fit for Syria. The place either needs to be bulldozed or at the very least renovated. The Subway was conveintly located on the 2nd floor across from a dive bar.The personnel at Subway were equally as "ratchet" as the building. The employees working at the Subway are about a bright as a 5W light bulb. I should have listened to my intuition that this place was nothing but a hub for wayward teenaged punks looking for trouble. The lady making the subs was rude so I was rude right back to her. Should I have let her take her frustrations out on me because she hates her job? I noticed she was talking on her phone while making my sub. I noticed after paying for my sub that she didn't hand me a cup.
