Haven't had Subway in a while so to Gold Canyon I went. I decided on their turkey sandwich in the Proteins category of the menu board & it was very good! So good that I ate it before I could photograph it! Paired it with Miss Vickie's Spicy Dill Pickle chips & a soda. Win-win meal! The service here is very good & the employees are a pleasure. The ambiance is comfy & inviting & the store is super clean & stocked. A small store but it's perfect for that bite to eat you seek. read more

I'm not certain if this place has changed hands or not, the sub was good...but the store did not look very clean...to me that is VERY important, especially in a small stores. The floors and all work surfaces around the food needs to be kept clean and wiped down. I was in there early, I don't feel the floor was cleaned at opening. They are close to us and my husband likes their cold sandwiches...we will give it another try, and hopefully it'll be cleaner. The employees are always nice, greet you upon entering and build the subs quickly. read more

Multiple issues with the same order. I ordered a twelve inch sandwich through UberEats, and got a six inch. My wife's sandwich was botched--she got spinach instead of lettuce, and onions even though I specified no onions. She has an onion allergy and now is experiencing discomfort from biting into the sandwich. They really don't seem to pay attention, and I'll think twice before ordering here again. read more

The service is hit or miss here. Sometimes you get some apathetic teens that don't want to be there. You wonder if they've ever eaten a sandwich before, becuase they way the make the sandwich takes constant corrections by the customer. Other times the service is pretty good. The subs are usually decent, but the prices are very high. This would usually justify a 3 star rating. However this location won't accept any coupons, doesn't honor any subway deals advertised on t.v. and doesn't allow online ordering. Just drive a little farther to Apache Junction. There are much better options where you get a lot more sub, better quality and for a lot less money! read more

This was hands down the best Subway I've ever dined at. The staff were incredibly friendly and hospitable. They welcomed us in, accommodated my husband's dietary restrictions, and checked in while we were eating to make sure everything was ok. They prepared the food with immense efficiency--the least time we've ever waited for food at a Subway, even with tons of customers--and all ingredients were fresh and sandwiches well-made. The staff took great care to clean up after customers were in, tidying their workspace, cleaning tables, etc. The restaurant as a whole was well-kept, nicely lit, and had plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Unfortunately whoever manages this spot requires the employees to clock out before 8:06pm and they close at 8pm so when you get there towards the end of the day you can't get any toasted sandwiches which is what I wanted today. You would think a business would focus on the service they provide and make sure customers can get what they want rather than penny pinching to save on the hours that their employees work. Simply a sad case of management. A poor representation of subway. Ultimately a lost customer as well. I will not be returning to this subway ever again. As a business owner myself I value when businesses ensure to go above and beyond for their clients or customers instead of focusing on making a buck. Whoever owns this may want to switch focus to being the best subway ever and delivering extremely high customer satisfaction and I guarantee your sales overall will increase and you will have repeat customers. Lastly the kids that are working their look like they are in high school. What happened?. Previously, I have always stated that this cat subway, in Gold Canyon, what is the best subway I had ever seen. In the past, it's quality, consistency, and Customer Service were fantastic. Today, I ordered 2 subs to take out via their app. What I received were two foot-long bread sandwiches. Additionally, and strangely enough, among the scanty ingredients in these "bread subs" was an ingredient I requested to be left-out - red onions. All I can say is that perhaps the "lockdown" has compelled them to scrimp on the ingredients. After the absurdity of today's two subs, I am not sure that I can make myself go back. This is such a a far cry from the glowing reports I was able to give them in the past. They have gone from five stars down to one star. read more

I can't argue other peoples disappointments but I have been a customer of this location since moving here 5 years ago. I have always had great service and food experience when Mario was attending the counter. I have observed many are quick to complain but few will praise. Under new management, this guy does not care about customer service at all; hope you liked being treated like cattle. Ordered online, in the morning order was to be ready at 10:35, order was not ready until 11 o'clock. Later on today when I was going to have my sandwich I noticed that it had onions on it, I did not order onions, but the app itself made the mistake. Well I did not blame the store for the mistake, I did ask The new manager if the sandwich could be remade since I did not order the sandwich with onions on the app. He printed the order and showed me, the same copy that I showed him; that had onions on it. Again I did not blame the store for the mistake. The problem lies with, the fact that when I come in and order sandwiches my orders are between 40 and $50; and I am a frequent customer. I simply wanted the sandwich remade. The old manager would've never let this happen, even though this is the first time I've ever had an issue in five years with this location.I told him never mind keep the sandwich, and it was at that time he wanted to remake the sandwich but it was too late; this location had already lost this customer. read more

I ran into another Employee at Bashas one day and commented that I had not seen him lately. He told me the Manager accused three of them of stealing money from the register with no proof. In all fairness to the Subway in Gold Canyon, the lack of meat and cheese is a corporate decision passed on the the stores. This is symptomatic in all the stores and not this store alone. There are too many choices to obtain a high quality sandwich than to entertain Subway for your lunch choice. Unfortunately I reached out to the manager Mario to discuss the situation, as I stated my concerns on my experience. I was told by Mario you cannot write a negative review, that if you do not leave the store I will call the police. For what? Because I revealed their inadequate product. Don't come here if you like the Italian herbs and cheese bread. They skimp out of on a lot of ingredients here. It's basically just Italian bread with three shreds of cheese. Ask for toasted sandwich but many times it's still not hot or even warm. If you ask for a drink, you'll automatically get their largest size without question. Kind of poor business & work ethic. The WORST! This is hands-down the worst subway ever. Completely inept employees who lack even basic common sense. I stopped in to get a sandwich at 11 AM on a Sunday afternoon and they have a sign on the door that says credit card machine down... I walk inside and confirm with them that they cannot take credit card. I go down the street and go to an ATM and withdraw $20 and come back in and as I walk in they told me that they cannot except credit card again. I pull out two $10 bills and said that's not a problem I just went and got cash. They then tell me that they can't give me any change because their drawer won't open... Could've use that information in the first place and I would've just left and not returned with cash. Completely wasted 30 minutes of my time and no food either. I told them if they can't take credit card or cash they should just lock their door and say that they are temporarily closed because it would save everyone a lot of time and frustration. Tried online ordering for the first time-NEVER again! You have to stand right there to watch them if you want to get your order right. I put a note in the "special instructions area" not to put the dressing on the salad but to put it in a little cup. Of course they put it on the salad. I hadn't planned to eat it until dinner much later but it would have been soggy by then so I ate it right away. After eating, I was craving a little sweet but the two cookies, which I had paid for, were not in the bag. I won't do that again! read more

Called an order in for 2 Italian BMT's and spoke with Kaylee over the phone who was very courteous and repeated back my order. Subs were ready in 10 mins. The facility was very clean and both employees were receptive to me. The subs were done perfectly with everything I requested on them. This Subway is substandard. The sandwiches are skimpy. They do not conform to how all other Subways put together sandwiches. Barely any lettuce, or green peppers...sandwich was flat as a pancake. Once got sandwiches home, tried to call the store, phone rang over 30 times no one picked up. Called Corporate to complain. Got a call from the Manager/Owner asking if I wanted a free sandwich. Possibly the worst subway ever . It takes alot for me to write a complaint but this place is just bad. First off the guy who claimed ownership of the place is pretty rude. While they where making my sub I noticed it was 95% bread and 5% ingredients of my choosing so I politely asked if they could put more on there and they said it'll be extra I pointed out it was very light on ingredients already most subways I've been to have way more then your putting on without exta charge . After being told it's just business and being called boss buddy and bro a few hundred times I finally made it to the register and they tried charging me almost 9 bucks for a 6inch sub that's primarily bread . I asked what the deal was and the owner said he was done with me and to forward my complaints to his brother whi was also rude and very avoided of the issue at hand . While I'm here I might as well mention they don't change gloves after each order and the store itself wasn't the cleanest . just 4 weeks ago .. we went in and ordered 2 subs to go.... we don't like a lot of items on our subs but one item we ordered was black olives... since we were only getting black olives, lettuce, and pickles... I thought they would be generous ... they were not, very skimpy with the black olives and other items... Subway used to be more generous at this location... what happened?? I won't try this location again for about 1 year... I hope they become more generous and try to serve customers better. read more
