Had lunch at this Subway on Monday August 11, 2025. Was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness, friendliness and overall quality of this franchise. Plenty of help behind the counter, ingredients were very fresh and prepared exactly as requested. Been to a lot of Subways (especially during travel) but this is the best. Where shall I begin? Three people ahead of us ordering 1-2 sandwiches each. Five workers and it took us almost 20 minutes to get out of there. Maybe they were training new workers, but give us the warning, or have an "In Training" name tag. This hole-in-the-wall Subway is located in the Pukalani Terrace Center. The second you open the door, you're hit by the familiar "Subway aroma". The dining area has limited seating, even prior to covid. Social distancing is a little difficult as the space to order surrounding the display case is very compact, the line holds about 5 people with maybe room for 1-2 more in the dining area. The sandwich artists here are friendly, efficient and work quickly to get your custom sandwich made. I greatly appreciate their hard work. Lunch hour tends to get busy, however the line typically moves quickly. I've had quickest service just before or shortly after lunch. read more

The manager, an older lady, was very rude and unprofessional. Pre-ordered 20 sandwiches on mobile app and when I went to pick it up, she gave me attitude and starting scolding me about placing such a "big" order. I told her I placed it over an hour prior. She said I should have used catering, but I told her catering does not offer foot-long sandwiches. Then she said I should have called it in 24-hours prior. Of course, I tried calling the restaurant 4 times to confirm my order and no one picked up the line. I told her I was picking up food for my crew that has been working a large wildfire 24/7 and she just turned her back on me and walked away. It was just 20 sandwiches, but she acted like it was 200. For someone that is in the business of making sandwiches, this manager was very unappreciative of the business we were providing her store. It was such an inconvenience for her to actually do her job. Our guys are out dealing with a fire that threatens lives and properties and she was crying about making 20 sandwiches, which were very simple (all Turkey/ham, lettuce, tomato, pickle, and mayo). I was told my order would be done in 15 minutes and it took over 30 minutes, she basically put the order on the bottom of her list and helped everyone else first. The manager never once apologized and ended up "disappearing" afterward. However, I do want to give her employees credit. THEY did a great job of getting the order done and I give them even more credit for having to work for such a horrible manager that probably doesn't treat her employees very well judging by how she treats her paying customers. I'm a regular customer that loves subway- It's really disappointing that subway app doesn't work. You try to explain to the employees working there about trying for the app. They don't care. Don't sign up to work in the service industry if you don't want to engage in customer service. Their lack of care to service and just keep pointing customers to an app so they don't have to do any labor. This Subway is located in Pukalani at the Pukalani Terrace Center on Pukalani Street. They're open at 7:00 a.m. & closes at 10:00 p.m.. What can i say its a Subway fresh sandwiches fresh salads. I like that you can get a different variety of fresh bread. You can choose between a six inch or foot long size sandwich. They also do catering so if you want to take a platter to a get together Come here and get a platter of a variety of sandwiches. Its a nice and healthy choice. The one thing i like is they sell COKE products. Yay that's a major plus for me. Friendly staff and fast service. This place can get busy at times. We don't have a lot of restaurants upcountry so just be patient... Prices are pretty reasonable. read more

I went in on August 22 around 1pm. They were busy. They were also so nice. Group of 3-4 young dudes and everyone said hi as I walked in. They waved at my baby and were very pleasant. pukalani subway had been my go to place to eat for the past few years. recently they have had staffing issues and the poor employees have been working so hard to give the best service possible. i've watched them get yelled at just for simply asking other customers to wait outside (with 3 customer limit in the store). i see other people leaving reviews about the app not working, and complaining the employees aren't fixing it. i hope they can realize this isn't the employees fault. they don't make or control the app. just a friendly reminder to treat food industry employees with respect. they are human too! read more

this review is JUST for the Pukalani, HI location only im giving a 'good' * review. tho this location is very fast and always clean im not happy in the way that the counter help leaves their gloves ON while doing other things than making a sub in the past (a lot, for yrs and yrs) i have noticed the same things. and even now in the days of covid what i mean about leaving gloves ON is this... i have seen them w only ONE pr on for multi guests orders. plus i have seen them go from making a sub to the register and accepting cash/giving change, all while still wearing the gloves. i have in the past seen the person make a sub, take cell out of pocket, answer/talk and put it back, then move on to the next guest. while wearing the same gloves (that next gst asked the counter helper to change their gloves, they did but only after being asked to). my most recent visit with her long ponytail flowing behind her down to her fanny, makes my 2 subs and puts into toaster, then her apron falls to the floor, while wearing her gloves she picks it up and reties it around her body and then moves onto her next guest, all while still wearing the gloves from making my 2 subs. while the vegi girl was finishing mine and next gst sub in toaster, my sub maker comes to cash me out. while still wearing the gloves. i used a card so no money chg hands. after i left, i dont know if she chgd the gloves or not. as i said, its been yrs at this same location. i have not seen these practices at other locations. read more

This is my neighborhood subway & all the staff are great, the place is very clean with excellent covid precautions. My only issue is the shrinking options with roast beef and my favorite Club sandwich apparently gone for good - however the brown mustard has returned, so perhaps there is hope for roast beef. read more

Love this subway always clean, quick service and great staff. The only complaint I have is that the ac is always so high! I always have to take my sandwich as takeout. 1st off you gotta walk in this location because we tried online ordering and was a complete mess! So you walk in and social distances is practiced, well this is where the issues start. I order a cold cut combo and the meat is pre pack per sandwich. So this professional sandwich maker grabs a cold cut pack and leaves one ham behind. So I'm shorted there. Next he slides the sandwich over to the next guy, now I order a turkey salad with all the veggies. Now I have both pros making my lunch tag teaming me with question on how I want my shit?! So I tell one ALL THE VEGGIES. While the other guy finishes my shorted sandwich. I am then asked how much turkey for my salad? So I'm now like idk! Whatever comes in the turkey salad? He should be the trained worker?! So I get home already irritated and the salad has no onions,bell peppers, couple leaves of spinach. So all in all Subway should have these workers trained correctly so they know what the hell they are doing instead of throwing them on the line untrained and unsupervised! I go to subway at least twice a week, and every time it's very enjoyable and everyone is super nice. every time I go in, I ask for the cheese to be melted over the bacon( yeah yeah, it's anal) and they're happy to do so. Today the MANAGER with long white hair in a bun was working , and I asked if he could put the cheese over the bacon for me, and he looked at me and said "nope, that's not how we do it" and I let him know that that's how they do it for me every time, he than made a big scene about how he'll have to toast the bacon by itself first before he puts it under the cheese?
