Their menu for the evening was the Crispy Catch, and I am a huge seafood fan so I was excited. My son, who gets deep fried cod everywhere we go, obviously opted for that. I ended up sneaking bites of it because it was SO tasty! Perfectly crispy and flavorful. The fries were amazing, also crispy and beer battered, with the perfect amount of salt. My daughter enjoyed her coco loco shrimp, and the dipping sauce was the perfect accoutrement. My husband ordered the SoCal burrito, which was the biggest I have ever seen! He let me have a few bites, and that chipotle lime sauce was divine. I ordered the fisherman's roll, because I love a good lobster roll. Sadly, this one just didn't hit home for me. The flavor was too fishy and overpowering, and I only ended up taking a few bites of it. BUT I sampled everyone else's food, and I can attest that the rest was simply amazing! We have come here a couple of times for lunch and have always left happy. Now my main issue (and the only reason I rated 3 stars) is because there are some questionable food handling practices going on in the kitchen. When you walk in there is a long bar to the right, and right behind it in full view is the flat top grill. Now in my opinion this is great, as I can see exactly how my food is being prepared. But it's also not so great when the cook grabs a raw meat patty with her bare hands, slaps it on the grill, and then proceeds to go about her business without ever washing her hands. I watched her cook my entire meal (and probably other's) without ever washing her hands or putting on gloves. Not appealing. All in all it's good food, but I'm not sure the risks of getting sick from unsanitary food handling practices are worth it.
