I was driving up from Orange County and hungry while going to visit a friend at the beach. I stopped here for a bite to eat and then needed to use the restroom. As soon as I was paying I asked to use the restroom and they indicated their bathroom was out of order?!?!? Per the department of health you need a bathroom for employees. As a microbiologist I canceled my order and left. I ended up going two doors down to a bike shop and they indicated that subway never allows its customers to use the restroom. And there is no sign on the door. As a result I'll never go back. read more

They've returned to sub of the day which is a good deal although some days I order other favorites. The parking lot has spots in-front and behind the restaurant and it's used by a coin laundry, a pizza place, an insurance agency as well as the Subway. I like Subway and have been to many locations worldwide. Their consistency is a strong point. This location in south Redondo Beach is above average with excellent service. I had a hot beef/cheese footlong sub with chips and really enjoyed it. The location is also excellent next to Dominos and a Laundromat if you want to do your laundry while eating. Probably one of the best Subways I've ever been too. Not only was it impeccably clean and the food was fresh but hands down best employees. I usually stick with my regular runa but decided to venture out and try something new. It was #20 I believe with chicken and bacon and this was recommended. I wish I got the guys name who helped me but he was so nice and friendly and you certainly don't find that these days as much. He's the real reason I'm writing this review but I really loved the food. I don't live in the areas but work occasionally here so when I'm here I will definitely be back. read more

I purchased 3 meals & asked for 1 cup of tap water (bought 2 other beverages). THIS LOCATION DOES NOT ALLOW YOU TO GET A CUP FOR WATER! They are trying to force you to purchase a water bottle, I presume. Not great & bad service but I retrieved my Hydroflask from the car. Then my son dropped his steak sandwich after 4 bites. I asked the employees working if we could have the sandwich replaced. I was told I would have to purchase a brand new. one. I have never encountered a restaurant NOT replacing a sandwich or drink which fell on the ground. We eat out alot. I would strongly suggest you choose another Subway, or another restaurant. Every Subway is different. They are a chain of privately owned and operated franchise locations. With that said, this Subway hasn't let me down yet. Every time I go, the staff is friendly and attentive. I never have to ask twice for anything. Sadly, a lot of the time, at other Subway locations, you get the feeling like the employee is taking the food from their own fridge (they put 3 pieces of tomato and give you fuss when you ask for more). Not here! Here I get fast service, a good amount of everything, and if I ask for more veggies (I like lots of veggies!) I don't get any attitude, just more veggies :) As long as they keep up the good work, I will keep coming here! read more

Very clean location with very very clean restrooms. I've always believed that you can tell a lot about the cleanliness of a restaurant and quality of food by looking at the state of the restrooms. In this case, the restaurant and restrooms were spotless. The woman who helped me of the counter was also very efficient and made a delicious sandwich. This location also provides convenient parking in the strip mall for free. It's a convenient location to grab a sandwich and then head out to the beach to relax and enjoy it by the water. Obviously, it's Subway so you know what to expect. It's pretty consistent irrespective of the actual franchisee. The only difference and rating differential for chain restaurants really comes down to service, convenience and cleanliness. Hence, my five star rating. read more

The store is big and clean, the staff is friendly, and they don't try to limit you to 6 pieces of lettuce and 3 tomatoes every time. I really like subway for two reasons. #1 they're cheap. #2 the chopped salad is the best hidden gem I've ever found with chains. Chopped salad (double chicken) will run you sub 400 calories with dressing and feta cheese. You can put ANY amount of vegetables on this, whatever meat you want, with whatever sauce you want and some cheese too. Why is this deal so much better? Consider a footlong sub on the premium level.. Runs almost $9 sometimes more depending on what you add. Chopped salads for double chicken and unlimited amount of veggies is $7.90 after tax and is much lower in calories than a sub. This subway has been here quite a while but I'm going to share something that should prevent anyone and everyone from going there. The other night after I went in to get a sandwich I learned something extremely disturbing and borderline unethical. It made me so mad I felt compelled to share it with everyone else. When I went to pay the person working (name omitted) they told me to skip the tip portion of payment, when I asked why they told me that ALL THE TIPS GO TO THE OWNER!!!!!!! That's the biggest hunk of crap I've ever heard. The person told me that they only get the cash tips. The owner of this franchise is so cheap that they feel the need to steal tips from their minimum wage employees. I will never go there again and I will tell everyone I know who eats subway to never go there again either!!! I was so upset when I left. Those tips should 100% go to the hard working individuals who work there, not the cheap cowardly owners.
