Located in the old police station with parking to the rear this subway is a good one. The food is always tasty as subways usually are. There is a large seating area to eat in. Staff are friendly and service quick. read more

This Mcdonald's is your typical Mcdonald's really, right down to the decor, it seems busy and…read morefollows the more old-fashioned "classic" approach which Mcdonald's seem to be phasing out for more electronic stores, with electronic ordering stores and talbets for kids to play on while they eat. This store is in Wigan city center, and a short walk from the Grand Arcade, although I can't help but think it would do better actually being in the shopping center its-self, which many Mcdonald's stores seem to do in other, larger towns, but they seem to avoid in smaller towns, but anyway it isn't a bad location but could be easily missed if you're not from the area, or don't know the area too well. Compared to other stores, this store doesn't have many facilities to suit a city center branch, it does have free wi-fi, but compared to other stores which are open 24-7, have tablets, Signature Collection, Mobile charging points and drive-thru, this is disappointing especially when even comparing to the nearest two branches on Morris Street and Gower Street. This store is definitely in need of some sort of refurb, to make it suit a city center branch but for now is basically a typical, average Mcdonald's, but this type of store they seem to be slowly phasing out around the country.
This branch of Mcdonalds is bang in the centre of town, handy for a quick bite to eat or drink when…read moreyou are out shopping and very child friendly. The store is accessible to disabled customers and mums with buggies, there is even a door opener on the outside to automatically open the door which is at wheelchair height. The disabled toilet is downstairs and there is plenty of seating downstairs too. Upstairs are the other toilets for men and ladies and a childrens seating area, as well as general seating. The stairs are quite steep though and often slippy where people have spilt drinks. The store was recently given a makeover and much of the seating is now bucket shaped leather seating which is quite low and not particularly comfortable or practical although it does looka bit more grown up than your average mcdonalds usually looks. The store is open from early morning to midnight most days and starts with the breakfast menu then moves on to the burger menu at 11:30am. Lots of balloons around and colouring easel for the kids - still very child friendly and clean.

The shop itself is situated just off the main road opposite the Somerfield's car park; there is car parking nearby Inc disabled spaces. The kebabs are impressive especially the large chilli's and chilli sauce which garnish it. The choice of pizza is varied and are impressive.

Even though I no longer live in the delivery area, I will go out of my way to get a meal from them. And when I did live in the delivery area, the service was always prompt and came with a smile. My husband firmly recommends their sweet and sour chicken, and I can tell you I've never found a better fried rice meal than their Hot dragon fried rice, its fantastic. Thoroughly recommend visiting this if you are ever in the area.

I've visited McDonald's on Queens Road a fair number of times now, it is in a useful location, just…read moreoutside Manchester Fort, making it easy to stop in while shopping at the retail park, while also having its' own car park and drive-thru area, which is handy if you want to avoid having to go into the retail park altogether. The restaurant is over two floors, with both an elevator and stairs to get you up and down. It's pretty much a typical McDonald's and offers what you'd expect, the food isn't going to win any prizes but is a reasonable quality compared to what you'd expect from a McDonald's. The staff are generally friendly here, which is good to see, as many other McDonald's branches offer rushed and impersonal service, they also offer table service here meaning you can order at the kiosk (or using your phone) and the food will be brought to your table, they seem to get the food to your table rather quickly too, which given the size of the place is impressive. PRO TIP: Do make sure they bring your whole order, as it is easy for them to forget items sometimes. On my most recent visit, I ordered a Quarter Pounder with cheese, alongside medium fries, as I'm gluten-free, I ordered my food without a bun, I appreciate how they use the old packaging, as I find serving the bun-less burgers in a cardboard salad box, which is becoming more and more common now is a nightmare. 4* - A well-located McDonald's offering what you'd expect, and nothing more other than friendly staff. The opening times are also generous from 6 am to 11 pm.

Another minute in the oven and the pizza would have been cremated but the guys at Babylon are on the ball and the pizza is always perfectly cooked with a thin crust and just melted topping. Admittedly, the decor and ambience could do with refreshing but since Babylon is usually populated by students, taxi drivers and shift workers grabbing some food in a hurry - I doubt anyone else notices. It's all about the eleven inches of dough delivered at break-neck speed for pounds and pennies.

From a child safety point of view the only issue is that the drive through road actually passes the main entrance door so parents need to be on the ball when taking kids in and out, although there are zebra markings but cars rushing through the drive through don't always take notice of these.
