The macarons are always on point. Cafe au lait, blackberry, yes please. I liked the old store a bit better as there is limited seating and the store is a bit stark.

Meandering the French Quarter on a late summer evening must bring out my inner Tennessee Williams because I was tempted to depend on the kindness of strangers. After dodging the drunkards on Bourbon Street, we took notice of this upscale dessert cafe. Unlike the more casual OK Ice Cream (review: https://yelp.to/PKQX7azbl-), this one displayed an attractively presented suite of sweets - colorful macarons, decorative cupcakes, fruit mousse tartlets. Jamie W and I zeroed in on the seductive sorbet and gelato selection. We were somewhat gobsmacked that a single scoop cost $7 while adding another flavor jumped the price up to $12. Jamie responded responsibly by getting the $7 cup of the Mixed Berry Sorbet (Photo 7). I, on the other hand, became Stanley Kowalski and ordered the $12 combo of the Mixed Berry Sorbet and Espresso Gelato (Photo 8). After all, my need was riding on a streetcar named Desire. FOOD - 4 stars...fresh flavors though strangely priced AMBIANCE - 4 stars...[[HIGHLIGHT]]nicely set up, cafe portion was packed[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] SERVICE - 3 stars...rather curt unfortunately TOTAL - 4 stars...I'll stick to one flavor next time RELATED - Exploring New Orleans? WOW!! such an amazing, cute lil shop! The pastries are unmatched, and shoutout to our cashier, so so cutie and very sweet. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Beautiful place and workers and also food!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] So worth it. Didn't even think to take a picture until we were biting into our food! 10/5!!

My friend and I were looking for a place to get a sweet treat and decided to try this place out because of the variety of treats they were offering. We tried their macarons as well as gelato and I have to say, the king cake gelato will go down as the best gelato I've ever had in my life. So good, in fact, that we came back the next day to get more. The staff were friendly and patient given the line of people that constantly seem to be waiting, and they are willing to offer samples should you ask. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor is pretty with a fun, upscale sweet shop ambiance, but it can get a little crowded so I wouldn't suggest this as a place to sit and catch up with friends or try to work.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I know that the king cake flavor isn't around all year, but when it's there, GET IT.

Stopped in for a quick dessert after a final exploration of the French quarter. So many rave reviews about sucre and I love a good macaron. Friendly service, lots of macaron flavors including unique options of peach cobbler, blackberry citrus, cafe au lait. We opted for the strawberry, pistachio, chocolate and peach cobbler- each delicious and beautiful presentation. I wish we had more time to sit and snack but hopefully next time we can try their drinks and/or gelato!

Loved Sucre! It was such a treat to find such a tasty dessert spot in the French Quarter. Not realizing at first, this was the second location in the French Quarter. The days before, I kept going to the sister location. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This one has cafe style seating and the counter is right on front by the entrance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Same delicious goodies on hand - think macarons, delectable pastries and gelato. The cupcakes and other confections are photo ready and beautifully presented. My favorite dessert was the palmier (French pastry aka elephant ears). And the cupcakes. The red velvet is super rich, moist cake and beautiful to look at as well as to eat. We also got the banana "dome" which is shaped as it sounds, and it was a very delicious custard-like banana filling. The desserts here are all wonderful so try them all to see which is your favorite! P.S. - I bought loose leaf teas here as souvenirs and all my friends say it's so good.

The desserts in the case are so pretty they looked fake, but they are indeed real. I ordered macaroons in a variety of flavors( chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, etc) The young lady helping me couldn't really remember how long they would last, I was visiting so wanted to take them back home. The insert that was placed in the box said good for 7 days, so I was pleased to know that. They are wheat served chilled according to package insert. This was a nice little treat once i made it home. They were about $30 for 8, I clearly didn't read the prices before ordering .

I really enjoy coming here but this time was not what I expected. The employees were very kind and knowledgeable about everything. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The shop was nice and inviting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered the Sucré Confetti it was a vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream and macaron pieces. I don't believe I've ever had a cupcake so dry! I felt embarrassed that they sold this to me especially since I've always had great experiences here. Maybe it was an off day because I know for a fact that they are far better than that Dry Cake! Anyhow, I'll give them another try and I would encourage you to do the same.

After skipping dessert at Copper Vine, we walked Bourbon Street before deciding to find a nearby place. We are a fan of French Patisserie so this hit the spot. All the desserts were worthy of a photo. I almost tried the Almond Petit Four, but settled for Sucré Confetti Cupcake. The lightness of the cake and icing were splendid. I enjoyed every forkful. And my companion ordered the cheesecake and it was great. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place had a steady trickle of people.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor screams "take a photo" which we did.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Stumbled upon this spot when walking around the French Quarter and very happy to learn it was open til midnight. I actually went to both locations in the FQ. First stop was for some coffee and a sweet treat and then I came back to the other location closer to my hotel for a box of macarons to take home. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior space is lovely and inviting and the desserts all look so pretty in their display case.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Desserts were amazing and I was very impressed with the quality and taste of my latte. It was the best latte I had in New Orleans. Service was friendly.

Such a cute little dessert shop! My friends and I were craving a late night sweet treat and we found this place so we had to give it a try. My go-to is always birthday cake ice cream so I had to try that and it did not disappoint. The gelato was so smooth and it wasn't too sweet. I will have to try more flavors the next time I'm here. Service was normal, the staff were quick to assist and there wasn't a big line. As for the shop itself, it's a very cute cafe layout with a good amount of seating. My friends and I were chatting for a good while and it's a really nice area to yáp and catch up with friends!

My daughter and I didn't like this place for what we had tonight. It's so pretty in pink inside. For the lovers of sweets, this looks like a haven at a glance and yet some of the stuff they sell here lack distinctiveness where they are simply sugar overload. We got two items tonight. Salted Caramel Brownie Ice Cream - We certainly didn't care for this one. The flavor didn't taste authentic; it lacked the real salted caramel flavor. Very candy like and that's al we tasted. Nid d'Abeille - This cake was also so sugary. It really didn't have any distinct flavors either. This is like a dessert sold at a very cheap grocery store that only looks good on the outside. This also failed to impress us to the core (very unfortunate.) Service, however, was more than decent. The guy who gave us a scoop of the salted caramel ice cream gave us more than a single scoop. We appreciated this generous gesture. It was just two items out of all they serve here so our hope is that the other stuff is (at least) decent or (even) good. We only have one more day before we go home in Denver. Will we go back to give it another try while we are here? We highly doubt however.

They served their buttery rich croissants as part of their continental breakfast. (I'm not sure if they still do.) Now that I have a house in the Quarter, I take a morning stroll over here to pick up croissants to take home. The butter croissants are a bargain at $3.50. I also love the chocolate & almond (both are $3.95 each), as well as the crisp & flaky Palmiers & delicate Almond Florentines. So we had to come to where the incredible, almighty "Banana's Foster" dessert was created! Here's how our time was at Brennan's. Atmosphere/Appearance: We came in the front door and the whole back of the restaurant was packed for a private party and I respect that so my wife and I took some seats at the bar that were recently vacated. We didn't get a whole tour of the restaurant, but it felt like a big mansion with several partitions, rooms and etc. Lighting was dim, a bit dark and intimate, but the atmosphere felt so calm and chill compared to Bourbon Street nearby. Lol. Service: I can't remember who took care of us, but she was the bartender and she was awesome. We had no problems whatsoever and when it came time to make the infamous dessert, she popped out from behind the bar to put on quite an amazing show! Food/Drink: I started out with their Lobster Risotto and it was fantastic. Creamy, hearty and BURSTING with flavor! I absolutely loved it and loved how it was a smaller portion as an appetizer. For my entree I with with the BBQ Shrimp and a side of their grilled asparagus. Delicious through and through. Portion, presentation, flavor and everything was just top-tier. No complaints. Value: This place won't break the bank, but it's not cheap eating either. It's a good date-night spot so be prepared to spend, but if you do it right, you won't blow your budget. In conclusion, I really enjoyed my time here at Brennan's! No complaints! Check this place out if you're in the area and it certainly lived up to it's reputation.

The wine list is impressive. We ended up ordering three bottles over the course of the evening and enjoyed each one. One issue kept this from being a perfect experience. The third course, our entrée, took 46 minutes to arrive, compared to about 15 minutes between the earlier and later courses. There was no proactive communication from our server. I had to flag her down to ask, and was told it was on the way. That delay stretched our evening by close to 30 minutes, and there was no acknowledgment or effort to make up for it.
