We were thrilled to find a decent laundromat in Seward where we could do our laundry in the middle of a big Alaskan vacation. $3.25 to wash, $3.25 to dry in coin-op, well-functioning, commercial washers/dryers. They sell detergent (a cup out of Costco detergent bottle) for $1. Friendly enough service, and change (quarters) provided at the counter. Open til 10pm. They also had a laundry drop-off service, but turnaround time was two days (!), so we opted to do our laundry ourselves. They also had a cute little coffee shop/cafe right inside the laundromat, but we didn't get anything so can't speak to that. read more

Staff is friendly and helpful. There is wifi and a cafe attached. However, there are only 5 washers and it is $3.25 for a wash and same for a dry. Last load at 7:30. It can become busy when the train tourists flock in. read more

Only 5 or 6 washers, same with dryers. 3.25 to wash and 3.25 to dry - a bit steep but I suppose it's because they use propane not natural gas. I'd recommend going to the Breeze Inn laundromat and pretend your a guest there..heard it's cheaper. read more

Great on site staff. Well maintained and clean facility. Machines all worked. Regular and large capacity machines. Change machine that accepted 1, 5 and 10 bills. On site laundry supplies. Opens early till late evening. Roll around laundry baskets available. Good seating inside and out. Very clean on site bathroom. read more

Very small facility. Insanely high prices, $8 for a double washer & $10 for a triple washer. Only had 5 small washers and all were in use. The dryers were large but also expensive. $2.50 for 12 minutes. Not much you can do when they're the only laundromat in town. read more

During our travels in Alaska, it was time for laundry day while visiting Homer. This laundromat was extremely clean & well-kept. There are no top load washers; but the front load washers were reasonably priced. Nice music to listen to, also! read more

While in Seward, we decided to get our laundry washed after a week long cruise and before getting on the Alaska Railway later that evening for several more days of vacation time. We did not see any other places to do laundry in town, and the free shuttle will drop you off and pick you back up right across the street from Suds N Swirl. If we were smart, we would have just stuck around and done the laundry ourselves in the coin operated machines. We dropped off our full small suitcase and decided to have it done so we could sight-see for the day. Price is by the pound and based on how soon you need the laundry to be finished. It had to be done same day, so we selected express which was a pricey $5 a pound. If we would have realized how heavy our clothes were, we might have been more selective about which items were to be washed. Our grand total was $98.00. Ouch! I could have bought new items for that price. However, I suppose we could have asked up front what the weight was so we wouldn't have been so sticker shocked at the end of the day. In spite of the expensive choice (I could have had the cruise do our laundry for that price), I was still very happy with the service. The employees were super friendly and at the end of our touristy day, we had very fresh, clean, neatly folded clothes in a large plastic bag to put right back into our suitcase and last us the duration of our vacation in Alaska. read more

Very clean facility and bathroom. Washer and dryer operated well for us. There's even free wi-fi with good connection! Was able to fit 5 days worth of clothing (including pants) for 3 adults & 1 child in the smaller $3.25 washer. Now drying was more expensive, 32 minutes was $5. Haven't been to the laundromat in years so don't know the going rate, but we found price the same as the very old machines at a campground we stayed in Copper Center so no complains from us. Most everything in Seward is more expensive than Anchorage anyway so we expected to pay more. read more

Clean & small laundromat, but very little folding table space & not enough wire baskets to transfer loads. BUT the prices were absolutely insane. We travel all over the US in our rv & have used laundromats in every state & usually in small towns & remote areas. But we have never paid anything even close to what they charge here. We spent $34 for the same laundry that we spend $15-$17 for in the lower 48. Even other areas of Alaska are not this expensive. The dryers are $2.50 for 12 minutes & then a quarter for each additional 2 minutes. Top loaders are $3.50 for the same washer we pay $1.50- $2.00 in the lower 48. Front loaders are $8.00-$12.00, depending on soil settings, for med. size front loader. We pay $3.50-$5.00 for the same size in the lower 48. The same laundry we did in Fairbanks cost us about 40% less. read more

Happened upon the laundromat on a clear, warm day. The view from the courtyard outside was spectacular. But you pay for all of the niceties. The same washing machine size you use on a cruise ship, which costs $3, is $7 at the laundromat. It is $2.50 for 12 minutes using a drier. By far the most expensive laundromat I have ever been to. We only ate at the cafe, didn't do laundry. However, the cafe is awesome! So worth going to, even if not doing laundry. The rest of town offers the same 'ol, same 'ol.....croissants, cinnamon rolls, etc. This cafe is a hidden gem though- they do bagels with tapenade, brie, reductions of this and that fruit.....I mean seriously unexpectedly fancy and imaginative stuff. They also offer quiche, vegan cookies, unique smoothies, etc. I would have never wandered in if we weren't staying at the hotel next door, but I'm so glad we did. It's the best breakfast in town! read more
