So friendly and the service is above what I was expecting when we approached. We drank the local beer and chatted up with a nice couple from Sweden. Outside tables are perfect for some people watching and to take in the fresh air. It's nice because it's not the the busy Main Street that everyone is walking up and down.

I recently travelled to Tenerife with a friend and her family (who have been to the same resort…read moremany times) and this was one of the places we visited numerous times during our visit. The resort doesn't offer much in the way of night life which isn't a good thing for someone my age! Yet the cheesy kareoke-esque/elvis themed bar known as the Memphis Bar entertained us most of the 10 days we were there. Run by a couple in their late 50's who are constantly joining in with the kareoke and are hilariously entertaining its a must do on your holiday. As you walk in you are greeted with an Elvis hit of some description which puts you in that holiday mood. You then notice the masses of Elvis memorabilia plastered on every inch of the bar walls - this adds to the atmosphere and tempts you into looking in the song book. If you are unlucky enough to be shy and have entered the Memphis bar you will not get away with not singing - Renee the owner encourages you to get on stage no matter how reluctant and sing your heart out. Of course the audience always supports you (even when being witness to someone murdering Tom Jones - Delilah!) The drinks are reasonably priced and if you get to know the owners they make your visit even more enjoyable by getting all your party involved at some stage. Fantastic! I recommend to anyone visiting that area families/couples of all ages an amazing night for a quiet resort.

The beer is great and comes in lovely german style pint glasses. Its tucked away on the front of Golf del Sur, near to the Harbour, where Harbour Lights restaurant is. Another benefit.. they have vegetarian lasagne and fresh local goat cheese platters, so my husband can get a decent meal other than the u ubiquitous pizza and pasta. Note it's a serpentine path from the sign on the plaza... it really is there...
