bolongaro & trevor, use to design for all saints…read more me and my friend went one sunday during the winter sales, store was quietish, main reason i wanted to go in was because i like the religion line of clothing. changing rooms and the ladies clothing was upstairs, (wooded staircase, beware if in high heels) but we had the best time trying on clothes! it was like playing dressing up with your mums clothes as a kid, only the clothes where alot more up to date! as it was quiet we tried on clothing, came out of changing rooms and got more clothing etc no rushing or queueing. it was almost surreal, as i shop alot and have never had an oppertunity to shop as the stars shop. it felt like they had closed the store for us. and the male shop assisant was a god send, non of this looking at us thinkin i know you aint thinking your gonna get in to that! or oh my god, who let the fish mongers wives in! as you can get in some designer clothes stores! i needed help with some of the tops as they are so unique, and wasn't sure how they were ment to be worn. he not only helped us but advised us and though we did not spend a fortune, as i brought a top for £20.00 and my friend the same (£20.00 was the sale price, tops normally start around £40,00) it was money well spent, as unlike other chain store clothing i know no one is going to wear the same top as i brought, and if they do, i can change how it wears, by changing the way the straps goes around, pulling the neck line up, down off the shoulder, twisting it around the body, like i said the clothing is unique! not garish, trashy or way out there! all the clothing fitted really well, considering we are not model shaped. the sizing was about right. think there size range is 6 to a small 14 and depending on the style i would size up or down so guess where i'm off in the next sales! update! the store is now closed and relocated, but the sign did not say where!

This is a tiny little shop, but I think that adds to its appeal, its not a huge, overpowering shop…read morethat pushes items on you. Its more of an 'alternative' shoe shop, selling skate type shoes and other similar items. I like loads of the shoes in here, and have bought some on many occasions, they seem to stock different shoes than elsewhere, which is good as I like shops who look for something different to interest customers. The guys who run the shop are really friendly and as its a small shop, they don't have much trouble seeing to everyone quickly and efficiently. The prices are kind of on the high side, but i'm not one to complain about paying for quality.

It's split over two levels, with the mezzanine area housing a pretty large collection of shoes, plus the men's bit, although when I came here looking for the waistcoats that were on the website, they'd sold out. The staff seem a little bit aloof though. I got the feeling they were looking me up and down (not in a good way) and whispering. I think maybe because it's not as busy as its counterpart in town, they're perhaps not as used to serving lots of people. Or perhaps they're all cowbags. I don't know.

This is a M&S Clearance store, so totally different from the normal High Street branches…read more Everything instore is discounted - often heavily, and it's a bit messier than a normal store, but that makes it all the better for bargain hunting in! Some items are pretty poor, either with very little discount or really badly designed and you can see why they're cheap. But there are some real gems there and you can get some complete bargains. I got a gorgeous pair of chocolate winter cords the other day for £2.99, a kids hoodie for £1.99 and a bra for 99p. Look out for the rails of final clearance stock - these are the best value. They have fitting rooms like normal M&S stores, and the staff at the checkouts are always very friendly and polite as you'd expect. They mainly have womens clothing, with different ranges including Per Una and lingerie. There is a decent mens section as well, and a small childrenswear area to the back beside the fitting rooms. They so sell some homewares but only minimal and it is mostly towels, pot pourri and that sort of thing. This shop and Next clearance are the main reasons that a lot of people bother making a trip to the outlet in the first place. If M&S wasn't there I know I wouldn't bother half as often. Highly recommended for bargain hunters!

There's nowhere near the selection you get in the normal M&S stores, but what they do have is discounted quite a bit off the normal store price. They also have 'special purchase' items which are only sold in their outlet stores, sometimes because they're slightly lesser quality, other timesjust because! The best bit is the clearance section that you find at the back of the store. I got a pair of work trousers in there for £2.99 that had originally been £45, and they're really good quality. Also lots of kids things in there for 50p and £1, so it's well worth a good look. Great for pressies for elderly aunties!

I tend to go in here as because it's off the main shopping area it tends to be quiet. If you have ever experienced Topshop on a Saturday you will appreciate the relative calm. It does a good line in t-shirts and they are really good quality. I have had one for years and even after countless washing and the occasional glass of wine spilt on it, it still looks great. There jeans selection is also really good and they are cut really well. The pair I got from there a while ago have held up well and my jeans tend to take quite a battering as I am always falling over.

This urban lifestyle brand is very popular in Leeds and is worth a browse. I'm going to eat my own words and tell you how much i actually like their new seasons stock. They've got a really nice range of t-shirts just in which resemble some high end fashion pieces i want and at £20, you can't go wrong. More expensive than your Primark leggings, but less expensive than your American Apparels, Bench offers a really good medium for high quality clothes. I really recommend this store for t-shirts and leggings and you can't beat a smile at the cash desk. I wouldn't go out of my way to shop here, but if your a passer by, it's worth having a browse to see what they have on offer. Bench is known for its quality and individual and fashionable prints.

Certainly nothing untoward happened but I don't think I came off in the best light particularly. I was having a bit of a mooch around town and I ended up along Vicar Lane, which isn't my usual area of browsing I must say. Having always walked past Flannels, and not really thought much of it, I saw a divine dress in their window and so decided to nip in. For a start I nearly accosted a guy walking into him as I tried to enter their doors, which was enough of a scene to attract the attention of the two store guys, so head hung in shame I apologised and briskly walked over to my beacon of fashion - the dress. I noticed then that although it was on display in the window it was pretty much the only women's item on show down here and so became really aware that it appeared that I was shopping in the men's section! Irk. Not the case. I quickly glanced at the price tag, feeling the laser beam eyes in my back still watching me from my prior clumsiness, and saw the fee for my beautiful garment. £900 odd pounds. Yeah. I left pretty instantly after that. And they totally knew why. I can almost hear their thoughts now, in my head. "She's too poor to shop here." Gah, how embarrassing! Beautiful clothes, I am sure. But not, in my humble pauper's opinion, worth a third of an MA degree, not worth a third of a good car, not worth a MacBook Pro. God no. Not for a mere dress!

It is a vast minimalist space and very sleek and classy in appearance. Men's formal wear is downstairs. They have a bespoke tailoring service, which makes me shudder to think of the price as most of the ready to wear clothing here is way out of most people's price range. I saw a coat for over £700. Seven hundred pounds. There is womenswear in the adjacent room, full of high end designer pieces. There are some very pretty pieces, though in the sale a top was still over £100. Upstairs there's loads more womenswear including shoes and accessories. Again the design of the shop is vary spacious and minimalist with hangers set at fixed points on the rails to make everything have a streamlined, ordered appearance. It's a pleasure to browse, though if you're skint like me the enjoyment is somewhat stifled by the inability to bring yourself to even try anything on! Men's casual wear is also upstairs with a general feel of understated classic chic. This is a shop for people with cash to splash - I imagine wealthy businessmen nipping in on their lunch break to pick up a 'little something' to impress their love interest, for whom only the best will do. Some of their stuff is slightly expensive but it is nice quality so can't really complain. Also I once bought a dress there in the sale that was £45 reduced to £3!! So they do have decent sales! Definitely one of my favourite high street shops and a first point of call for a new outfit.
