Alfonso Reyes in Condesa is an amazing street for dining and truthfully, I don't think that I would have discovered or realized this had it not been for my Time Left group appointment tonight, (an app that pairs six strangers at a restaurant on Wednesday night for socialize over dinner), would have chosen Ciena on this street. The food was good, and based on the fiverdity of what was irdered, I give Ciena a thumbs up. Walking back to my hotel I discovered a place called Yucatán En Su Mesa,. The famous Botanico and Antolina restaurants are on the street. Two historically significant chain taquerias , Califa and Farolito, a Roxy Neveria, a Portuguese bakery, and even a Barbie themed Starbucks. And so it's definitely a street that you should check out. Also, I passed by two gourmet themed stores; one featuring Japanese ramen and products to sell and another featuring gourmet mezcals. They are not cheap but hopefully, of a quality that justifies the price.

The…read morehotel is in a good area, close to lots of restaurants and cafes but far enough from bars that you don't get all the noise and traffic. It's a 10 minute walk to the metro and to the shopping area. The annoying thing is you have to be buzzed out every time you exit, which doesn't make sense. Why can't you leave if you're already inside? I do appreciate the security but it's enough to just buzz people in. The kitchenette has bare essentials. They don't equip you with cookware so you'll have to buy a knife, cutting board, etc if you plan on cooking. There is fast laundry service. There is an unpleasant scent in the hallways and lobby. Not sure what that is. Recently my new neighbors have been fighting very loudly and making a lot of noise throughout the night. I can't imagine that others don't hear it too. I may have to switch rooms if it continues. I'll post an update if warranted.

The place is clean, easy to identify, has a 24/7 desk/security worker, keys to work the elevator, a solid gym, water dispenser on the first floor, and the unit I stayed in was also clean, spacious, and comfortable. The only thing to take note of is the lack of central AC, and in the unit I stayed in on the 11th floor, I did get QUITE hot. Thankfully the owner bought a fan for the bedroom and that was the saving Grace, but air doesn't circulate well in the unit itself. That said, I didn't spend much time during the day here so it didn't impact me too much. The gym is the same situation though, I was QUITE sweaty given no AC and just a single open window. It is SLIGHLY cooler there than the unit though since hot air rises (to the 11th floor), and the gym is on the ground level. I may have to take two showers a day due to the workout then sweating when walking all day, but that said - my primary concern was a central, safe location with a clean shower and bed: this place ticks all those boxes. The TV also has the streaming services, love that I got to catch up on my Amazon prime shows.

The property is well built, it is modern with a lot of vegetation, wood grain, glass and a 24 hour security guard watching the door. There are 7 to 8 floors from what I remember. I stayed on the 5th floor so my memory escapes me. There is a pool area underneath the walk way, which is different. There is a patio area that is furnished and a playground for the kids. The location is even better. It is in Coyoacan, which has a great amount of markets, fairs, street vendors, restaurants and nightlife. There are street vendors that sell delicious tacos right down the street on Bruno Traven, so the walk isn't too far. There is a 7/11 about a block away and right across at the end of the street is a University that shows movies for free on the weekends. This property is amazing and it definitely contributed to my wonderful, memorable trip to Mexico City!

We reserved our coworking space in advance, online. I submitted the request through their website and the offices contacted us the same day to arrange our visit. (Thanks Monserrat!) TIP: I recommend that you reserve in advance as well to complete the registration process prior to your visit. The group has several locations throughout the City which is nice when you want to mix things up a bit. The location we reserved was in Condesa and we were able to walk from our nearby apt. They open at 8am so we were able to work a full day there. (Some other local coworking facilities do not open until 10am which can be inconvenient for us.) We arrived early and they checked us in immediately. TIP: Bring ID for security at the building entrance. The facility is very spacious with tons of different work areas including bull pen, conference rooms, private phone rooms, bar/tall tables, and work stations. They offer coffee and filtered water, and there is a fridge & microwave for use. They also have printers/scanners for use which is a nice plus. The facility is clean and well lit. TIP: If you smoke, there is an outdoor patio so you don't have to exit the building. We enjoy the atmosphere in contrast to working in a very quiet apartment.The facility is very well attended so if you are easily distracted, bring your headphones to keep noise down. It is not a library atmosphere, but very lively! TIP: If you need a break, there are a ton of coffee shops and restaurants in the area for your snacking needs.
