Mr…read more Shifflet showed up for the estimate, and brought along his helper who talked about Jesus while Mr. Shifflet was on the roof. Mr. Shifflet gave me a verbal estimate and told me I would have the written estimate within several hours. It actually took 3 days to receive. Then Mr. Shifflet was late to the appointment to review the estimate. He collects a material deposit, be aware when you sign his estimate that it says the material deposit is non refundable. Once he cashed my check he said he would do the work immediately, but he didn't show up. Mr. Shifflet does not answer his phone, and frequently his voice mailbox is full. He does have an assistant who calls back (not necessarily promptly) , but she is almost unintelligible on the phone -- very difficult to understand. I fired Mr. Shifflet after being told several times he would be there to do the work, and he was not. He now will not take or return my phone calls. Stay away from this man, he is scamming people to get their deposits. I have now hired real professional roofers. A lesson learned.

Her husband coordinated two visits and installs. My experience with the installs were fine except for the 2nd one. The price was competitive for the work. It was not "Home Depot or Lowes" quality but it was very acceptable. They were also timely. I deducted two stars for his customer service. The slab on 1st order was cut a little off but my contractor worked it out. No issue. My kitchen counter top cut was worse. The back edge against the wall ranged between 1/16 and up to 1/2 in gap. They installed it. It was 1/4 wider than my backsplash in some areas. Also, they didnt leave the sink cutout. I was using this for my kitchen island top so they would match. I reached out to them so we could correct this. Barry kept making promises to call me back. He stated their cutter was broken. He advised me they could come out to see the gap after telling me to try caulk. Then he didn't answer anymore after never replacing my slab cutout or money. I had to spend the $100 and extra time with another vendor to get the slab I had already paid Barry for and to get my gap sealed correctly. I want to recommend them but because of this I can not. The service with him is not consistent and I don't have the money to waste on repeat work. I say go visit the location, talk to Rachel and decide for yourself.
