When I arrived for the surgery, the process was simple and very efficient and the actual process seemed like it was only 15 minutes. Had my right eye done, which was so blurry, I could barely see. Absolutely amazed at the result. Had the left eye done one month later, again, perfect and I was already working on the same day on my computer. Highly recommended.

A few years ago I was referred by my Optometrist to see Dr. Wade for cataract surgery for my left eye. Through careful and precise pre-op check up, Dr. Wade found in my right eye that I had crystals (talk about really sparkly eyes haha) and a portion of my retina had detached. I was rushed in surgery for the retina by a colleague of Dr. Wade's (Dr. Ma). I had back to back surgery, one for each eye. That was two months of sporting what looking like a really bad sucker punch to the face! I went back to see Dr. Wade today for another follow up (two years since the operations). Again, he was professional and informative. There is something about his personality that will put you at ease. Be ready to wait a LONG time to get an appointment with Dr. Wade though. Yes he is THAT good!! his wait list can be a year long!!!

I received exceptional care from 2 employees today. Because my morning had been stressful, I arrived at the office having forgotten to remove my contact lenses. The receptionist kindly helped me resolve this problem and also provided me with a face mask. But what happened following my consultation with the doctor was truly amazing. Because my eyes were dilated and my vision seriously impaired, I could not use my phone to call an Uber and I really needed a ride because it was snowing. An assistant named Alberto leapt to my assistance, offering to book a pick-up on my behalf. When he accessed the app on my phone, we discovered my credit card information needed updating. He helped me through this process in private and then input my request for a ride. When the driver was on the way, which took only a couple of minutes, he offered to accompany me down on the elevator and out onto the street so that he could ensure the car arrived and I actually got into it. We stood on the street corner in the snow (him shivering without a jacket), his fingers flying on the screen to indicate to the driver our exact location. Bingo, the car arrived within seconds and he helped me into the rear seat. I couldn't escape the feeling that I must have come across as a seriously foolish and inept old woman. But I don't believe Alberto thought that at all. He is simply a very kind man, dedicated to doing his best for all the patients, and happy to go out of his way to help a senior overcome some obstacles. This experience restored my faith in the milk of human kindness.

However, upon receiving the email confirmation, I noticed that the date is Dec. 20th, which is very confusing for me. So, I made a phone call to Dr. Alfonso Iovieno's office immediately to confirm. The receptionist Wendy was very rude to me over the phone. She was uncertain about which staff member I spoke with to schedule me on Dec. 13th. I tried to describe that lady to her to jog her memory, so she could double-check for me. However, her response was very rude. She stated that it's not proper for me to describe the lady to her. She rudely stopped me to check why my new appointment was scheduled two different dates. Does she fully understand the code of conduct working in the healthcare industry? Has she received proper training for this position? Her behavior is absolutely not professional and is not suitable for working in healthcare settings, especially with patients who are already experiencing physical and emotional pressure. To the owner/management team of this clinic: You can either train your receptionist more effectively or consider hiring a new staff member instead of Wendy. A bad attitude can severely damage your clinic's reputation.

The office and exam rooms are sparkling clean, modern and equipped with state-of-the-art testing equipment. The team at Prpic are friendly, knowledgeable and respectful. They greeted us with lovely smiles, provided all the information we needed and invited us to ask questions throughout our appointments. The staff member who conducted my pre-testing explained all the procedures and made me feel comfortable with her warm, friendly and professional manner. After my eye test, Dr. Petar arranged for me to have an additional test to investigate possible signs of glaucoma. He said the change in my prescription was so slight I didn't need to order new office or reading glasses at this time. However, as I have some eye damage from UV exposure, he recommended prescription sunglasses to help prevent further damage to my eyes.
