After multiple quotes and trying to decide the correct time/people to perform the work, I decided to go with Morges Painting for a number of reasons. When Mike first came to my home for an estimate, he immediately took notice of the poor paint job done by the previous owners. I have aluminum beams on the front of my house, and Mike said that there was no primer under the paint, which was causing the paint to peel. He stated that a proper job would be to remove the paint to the metal, prime the surface appropriately, and then apply the paint. Some other estimates I received did not indicate that primer was needed. Also, some painters told me that the paint was peeling simply because it was too old. It was clear from the outset that Mike not only knew what he was talking about but that he wanted to perform the job properly. He and Shawn did an absolutely terrific job transforming my home at a very fair price. I cannot express how patient, kind, accommodating, reliable and trustworthy they were during the whole process. Even though the job took a bit longer than expected due to some rainy days, not once did they cut any corners or try to speed along to rush to another job. They thoroughly, and I mean thoroughly, and properly prepped the exterior of the home prior to painting it in order to ensure that the job would hold well over the coming years. They were timely, professional, and so incredible through the whole process. And to top things off, without prompting, they even replaced my house numbers to match the paint colors I chose because the old numbers were rusted. If I could give higher than 5 stars I would. He has kept our seven-bedroom Outer Banks beach house in great condition, both inside and out. His work is high quality and his approach is professional. We value his insight and appreciate his attention to detail. Since our home is a vacation rental property, we are not always around when he does the work. We trust Allain at the beach house when we are not present. On these trips, he performs an overall assessment of the house, determines what work needs to be done and executes various projects. We appreciate how he keeps us updated with progress reports and photos, and discusses recommendations. He's done exterior work (using thirty-foot ladders) on the Dolphin Inn's second and third story decks, in addition to significant carpentry (inside and out), along with interior painting, trim and even furniture. Allain is an interesting man with great attention to detail. We consider ourselves extremely lucky that he is willing to take on the weathering impact of the salt, sea and sun, and keep our house in such beautiful condition.

I used them before so I thought I would get a quote for my siding. Someone was out on Sept, 26 ,…read moresaid about a week for quote. Well over a month later, phone call and text. Nothing. Thanked me for my patience at one point and offered a discount. I ask again for the quote, completely ignored and blown off. Not sure what changed over the years. it's a shame.

I chose M&S for their price and presentation for my new roof in October of 2021. The first…read moreimpression was very good. After getting 3 bids, (two of them had $95 for each sheet of Plywood, and the first 3 sheets free),I had M&S match that and put it in writing. They were $125 per sheet with none free originally. I really needed a Saturday install due to work issues and my Great Dane would need to be out of house, and Mark promised that. That was the first issue. He did not keep that promise. It had to be on a Friday. I'm flexible, so okay. I took off work. The team that actually did the job was GREAT. That was nice. However, when they left, I walked the perimeter and found that 2 of my flood lights had been broken and knocked down. Also, they did not reconnect a downspout that I requested be fixed while they were up there, (I told them I would pay extra, as it had just been knocked off during a recent storm.) Mark had promised that as well. Oh well. The roof looked great. Good materials. But the price was CLEARLY padded. When I got the final bill a week or so later. Only 5-6 full pieces of Plywood were used. I counted! Mark even went up and checked the ones in question to save me money. The bill said that 11 were used. Not true. Again, barely 6 full sheets were used, But the bill said 11 were used. In the end I paid for eight sheets of wood. I paid in full. Ten days later Mark texts me and says he lost my check for $8,000!!! I had to leave work to go to bank to stop payment. Then I had to go in person to their office to reissue a check. That was a big problem for me. But I'm understanding, so I told them we could schedule the gutters next, for which I had received 3 bids also. Their first bid was for $3,600 ish, with guards. I asked for a price without the guards and it went down to around $2,400. I told them to schedule it,mid November and that's where I started getting the run around. I finally got Mark to commit to last Tuesday, but I had to change it for to work. I figured that would not be a problem because I had been so understanding and flexible this whole time. I asked for this coming Tuesday the 25th and it has been 8 days and I have not heard from M&S contracting. I have called emailed and sent numerous texts. I guess I'm going to go elsewhere now.
