In addition, there is a little shop called Westside 40 here which sells almost exclusively locally made products. Lots of activities are in and around Granby. The super helpful folks can recommend some cool spots to visit and places to stay if you reckon to put your feet up for awhile. This is a great spot to visit if you or staying in Granby or just passing through. There are some great eateries just across the street from here and several gas stations within spitting distance.

I come to embrace the icier, colder and freezing your butt off altitude. I grew up coming back and forth here with family and friends for the last 18 years of my life. I actually had a good time coming to Black Hawk as a kid and shopping and dining. One of the best times I had, was actually enjoying a hike here. I got confused having my mom cover my eyes, telling me I wasn't allowed in a building daddy went it. Question marks were floating above my head, and then I made the connection. Guys, seriously don't come to Black Hawk just to gamble. It's seriously boring, and seeing faces light up for at the thought of driving an hour here to just lose it all is alarming. I had successful nights with friends where they played and got lucky!! I even made a couple hundred after inserting a minimum note. Plus, I love the buffets and scenery and the company of my friends having a good time. I enjoy the Starbucks inside the Ameristar. But boy oh boy. EVERYONE THINKS I'M 12, and I get ID'D left and right. I'm not mad I look young, but jeez louis, THE ONE TIME I WANT TO GAMBLE, I CAN'T ENJOY MY PEACE AND QUIET. Last night, I had friends fighting over who's driving to Central City.. family, friends and coworkers get hyped up, gleefully jumping, and dancing over the idea of us all going out and drinking, but when I go, I only spend $100.00 total and don't give in. Black Hawk Casino is a total Disneyland for gambling-lovin' peeps who enjoy visiting Central City's pit hole for casinos. yeah, yeah, yeah, I get bombarded with these irksome ads all over tv. The song "Looooodge Casiiinnoooooo," would ring in my living room for 15 freaking years. They haven't changed a darn thing. Is that what Black Hawk is SERIOUSLY ONLY KNOWN FOR?? puh-lease!! If you're driving up to Black Hawk, I suggest taking the back roads because the drive is unbelievably astonishing!!

There is also not many places to sit except the little bean bags they have on the ground. They have one area of couches though which looks pretty nice! They also have a cute kids area and a study room. Not much space though.
