When you travel with kids, you get a lot of dirty laundry. So I hate to pay the high prices a hotel will charge, nor do I want to spend all day at a laundromat. We rented a car after four days at a hotel in Lisbon and stayed at a nice resort in Comporta. The beaches are beautiful, but by our sixth day, we really needed to do laundry. Sulsec in Grandola is about a 20 minute drive from our resort. At Sulsec, you drop off your laundry and pay by the kilo. I believe it was 3€ per kilo. They gave us a 2€ discount because it was mostly small children's items. They offered to have it done in three hours but it was more convenient for us to come back the next morning. Clothes came back clean, dry, folded. The detergent has a mild scent. Everyone was friendly and one person spoke Spanish which was enough for me, but you don't need to talk much to drop off a bag of laundry. read more
