My fiance and I were in the mood for Indian and stopped by here. There is a nice parking lot in the back of the restaurant. Sometimes, it's hard to find parking on Main Street in Lansdale. The service was friendly and prompt. The restaurant is clean and bright, which I really appreciate. There is a wide selection on the menu. Everything we had were tasty. We ended the night with a rasmalai dessert.

This was my first experience with Sultan. I called ahead and ordered takeout. When I went to pick it up, I had to wait an extra 15 minutes inside for my order. I was pretty annoyed, but at least I knew they were making my food fresh. I ordered the saag paneer and a plain naan. I am not sure why they call this saag paneer since it's not even saag (mustard leaves) but it was palak (spinach). Anyways, it came with rice. The rice was a little bit clumped together but it had a nice flavor with the cumin seeds in it. The naan was good but I wish it were a bit more fluffy. Overall, I am really surprised with how much I enjoyed my meal from here and I would order again.

My friend and I wanted to try a couple of the restaurants in the Lansdale area, and we happened to stumble upon Sultan Indian Cuisine! My friend had never had Indian food before, so I wanted to give him the full experience. We decided to split the Vegetarian platter that comes with a samosa, onion pakora, vegetable pakora, and paneer pakora! All of them were super tasty, and they were enhanced with the different chutneys! We had a tamarind, mint, and chili chutney that were all super good! They also brought out complementary pappadam, which was an amazing addition to the appetizer round. For the entree, we split the mixed grill that comes with chicken tikka, chicken kebab, and shrimp tikka, and it came with complementary basmati rice. We also put in a order for garlic naan, which was soooo good! The meat was super flavorful and it went so well with the garlic naan and rice! With the chutney on top, you basically made the perfect bite! My friend also wanted to try the mango lassi, which disappeared before I even knew it, so I guess it was good! The service was awesome! We were constantly attended to and they kept offering to bring pappadam and chutneys! What an amazing Indian restaurant in the Lansdale area!

I am so mad this place has so little stars on yelp! Owner and his family are amazing! Food is always fresh and delicious! Give them a chance you won't be disappointed! When everyone else is closed on Monday - Sultan is open!!

Curry chicken was not as good as their old location as it seems like they may have changed their recipes or using canned or premade sauces. Tasted like tomato base and less homemade. Naan tastes like it was flash fried or reheated. Quality has gone down for the price. Byrani Bowl by far is much better with fresh ingredients and real naan from tandoori oven.

Two words: lunch buffet! My best friend and her hubby took me here one afternoon before my departure back to New York. So, to guarantee that I would return to NY a few pounds heavier, buffet was decided! The staff was super friendly, and the tables were nicely spaced (perfect to prevent badly maneuvering and the ill possibility of dropping a plate). The variety was really quite lovely; plenty of non-meat options if you're feeling a little vegetarian. All the usual Indian favorites were there: chicken tikka masala, paneer, and daal. Save room for dessert - gulab jamun was my favorite by far. The staff is quick to take your dirty plates off the table as you go get seconds or thirds. Remember: pace yourself; slow and steady wins the race

Fish tandoori, very flavorful and goes great with the pickled sautéed cabbage, onions, peppers. Not dry at all. Great combo.

Very informative, friendly and very accommodating staff. Rajesh is a very helpful and knowledgeable waiter. Food was perfectly seasoned and very very fresh. Can't wait to go back for their lunch buffet and try different dishes. One of the best lamb korma and tandoori fish dishes I've ever had. Very warm atmosphere.

It's the real deal with full flavor and authentic Desai taste to fulfill that craving of goat verified or chicken sukka. Maybe a delicious biryani or tawa fish fry. We had the gongura chicken and chicken tikka masala. If you're American and used to order chicken tikka masala please note the medium spice level may be a touch spicy and it comes with bell peppers and onions. I thought it tasted fantastic. Gongura chicken had the tamarind tang with a gongura curry gravy that felt like I'm eating in south India. Naan and roti were piping hot and thin. Great to soak up all that curry. Also tried the chili gobi that had plenty of chili sauce to put on some naan. Can't wait to go back and try some other fun dishes. Lunch time thali looked good as well.

But today is Tuesday, friends, and fortune smiled upon me. We had an Indian FEAST tonight and it's some of the best Indian food I've ever had (and we love it in this house). We got samosas (my favorite Indian snack) with a zippy lil mint chutney that was absolutely slammin'. There was Karampodi Chicken: flavorful, spicy, and deeeeee-licious. There was garlic naan, soft and wonderfully garlicky, and a light, crispy masala dosa served with chutney and sambar that was absolutely to die for. The chicken tikka was rich and spicy, and the Andrha Shrimp Curry was incredible. Delicious and SPICY. We got takeout so I can't comment on the atmosphere of the restaurant or service, but the food is an absolute home run.

We were sat as a party of 5 and were told very firmly that the kitchen closed at 10. So we figured it out quickly. Then we waited and waited for the waitress to come back. I gave chase around the corner and at 9:55 finally got her to come over to order. As we were ordering, the waitress cut my bud Vog off telling him to hurry. Insane. Then one in our party had to make a call but left us his order to put in - they didn't have any of it. Then she didn't write any of our order down -- 5 people. I ordered the butter chicken mild, which comes with rice. I added garlic naan and cheese naan as well. When the food came out it was solid - I'll give them that. Naan was good -- BUT THEY FORGOT THE CHEESE NAAN I ORDERED. Would have been nice to write that down ??? If this was take out - it would probably be 3.5-4 stars but the horrible attitude, the pushiness when ordering, and the you don't belong her feeling we were given is inexcusable.

We usually come here once a quarter and for good reason. The food here is flavorful and it's pretty reasonably priced. They specialize in a variety of South Indian cuisine, but my favorite has always been the Kurinji special mutton perattal biryani. It's a pretty big dish with rice and plenty of meat. It also has several sides of sauces and spices to mix in. It's a definite must-have if you like lamb. The other favorite of mine is the Vijayawada chicken biryani. It's a huge serving of chicken, rice, onions, and other great ingredients that are sure to get your taste buds satisfied. My coworkers often order the chicken tikka masala or the butter chicken, both of which are better than most Indian places I've been to. An unexpected surprise were the vegetarian samosas, which are large Indian dumplings that are mostly appetizers, but are quite addicting once you've tried it. Kurinji is good for any occasion, but be advised that they are closed on Mondays. Among all the places my coworkers like to visit for lunch, this restaurant remains as our favorite spot. One of these days I'll go down the entire menu to explore everything else they have, as there are just so many options to choose from. We'll definitely be coming here whenever we get a chance and highly encourage any newcomers to check this place out. You definitely won't be disappointed. If you have a large party, it's advised that you call ahead, as I don't think they've been able to seat more than 8 people at a time on a single row of tables.Re

This…read moreis a major issue in the country, where little attention is given to those who follow religious traditions requiring only Halal food. It's unfair to deceive people for profit in such a dishonest way, especially when Muslims take these rules seriously. As a result, businesses lose customers since many choose to buy from Halal stores and cook at home. When I called, they falsely claimed the food was Halal, so I decided not to eat there. On top of that, prices for almost everything have skyrocketed, making them unaffordable for most people. Inflation in America is extremely high, while funds continue to flow to Ukraine for war efforts. What cost of all food items in all Indian restaurants is horrible to bear. Added to that tips it comes to almost 100 dollars for a family to eat at such costly places. Another fraud restaurant is Namaste in Warminster, very high prices and lie that everything is Halal, a very big liar who keeps saying false name like Bharat. A very fraud owner, except for his wife who almost run this business. So, I totally stopped to going to any restaurant.
