Female who attempted 'manicure' did not properly cut, file, shape or remove cuticles. Instead, she cut nails too short and I had to re-file and shape. When 'removing' cuticles she pulled skin and overcut resulting in bleeding at one nail and injuries to other nails. To stop bleeding, she pushed skin and more blood gushed out. (See photo. I got a new set (hybrid) with mink lashes. It's a small shopping center with parking. Upon arriving it's a cute set up. An area for the lashes and the other side for nails. I got my lashes done 2 weeks ago today. I loved them when at the salon. They looked beautiful and everyone who saw them that day gave me compliments. It's been 2 weeks now and on my left eyes' the lashes have 80% came off already. The right eye I've only lost about 10% of the lashes. The left lashes come off so easily compared to the right. I don't know if the left was applied differently or with different glue. But the left side is not worth the money I spent. I look crazy right now. Since one eye is fuller now. I've read comments of girls saying their lashes lasted them 3-4 weeks. At this rate i will only have my right eye lashes on while my left eye is basically bald. I take good care of them. I have a lashes kit to clean them and dry them with the fan. I really wish the left eye was as perfect as the right eye. I paid $100 and was really looking forward for my lashes. One time when I was 9 month's pregnant & it was the most supporting and welcoming experience I originally came to get a mani pedi and realized they did lashes and started asking summer questions. Being that I was pregnant i knew I couldn't lay on my back long & summer mad me so comfortable and did my lashes as quick as possible . My lashes got done 5 days before I went in to labor and they lasted until my son was two months , talk about retention. These girls are the very best!! I've had my lashes done and maintained by two places with high reviews in the past couple years. With one, I left with my eye burning from glue fumes (and the manager was horribly rude about it when I asked for help). With the another, they started getting sloppy and we're a bit rough. But not at Summer Beauty. The staff is genuinely lovely and kind, the space is clean and pretty, and the rates are reasonable. They do great work--on full sets and refills. They're delicate and thorough. I'm never worried about the training and professionalism of the technicians, which is important since that glue can be dangerous around your eyes. I received one of the best gel manicures and pedicure of my life from these lovely ladies.

Summer was nice but my lashes were probably done too quickly with too many lash extensions glued to one natural lash. There was major fall out within days. I had my session on 4/3, by 4/10 the parts that were itchy were coming off in clumps. See pic. I thought I was getting 2D lashes (as that is what I asked for and paid for) but these look like 5D or 7D (or more, I honestly counted some 9 lashes in certain clumps) which is way too heavy for my lashes. I'm disappointed as I was hoping to find a new place closer to my new home. My usual esthetician is an hour away (as I have moved). I was surprised at the speed at which I had a full new set done, but now it makes sense having seen how many lashes were glued to one lash. For $100 + tip, I expected better. I understand that Summer was a bit overbooked the day I went in and perhaps she was rushing, but having this many lashes glued to one of my natural lashes caused discomfort and perhaps even premature fall out of my natural lashes which seemed to go with each chunk that came out. Disappointed. Btw, I am not new to getting lash extensions. I had previously gotten them for nearly a year at the salon I used to go to before I moved. I know what to expect and how to take care of my extensions. Also, in response to the business owner's response: *IF* the glue was "dry" and the lashes got stuck together, I would have seen two or more of my natural lashes stuck together in these clumps. But I have pictures below. And clearly, there is only *one* natural lash within each of these clumps. So the excuse that: the glue must have not "dried" and then the extensions later got stuck together, just doesn't ring true. read more
