I've been going to Dr Salem for ages--he really knows his stuff, and I totally recommend him.

I've been going to Summit Dentistry for many years, specifically to Dr. Tony Salem, and I truly cannot recommend them enough. The office itself is beautiful--bright, clean, and thoughtfully designed, from the waiting area to each patient room. But what really makes Summit Dentistry exceptional is the people. The entire team is friendly, skilled, and compassionate. Every single visit over the years has been a positive experience. The technology they use is advanced, and the hygienists always take the time to explain what they're doing, making every appointment feel professional and comforting. What stands out the most to me is Dr. Salem's incredible attention to detail, intelligence, and kindness. He's not only an expert in his field, but also a genuinely good person who truly cares about his patients. A few years ago, I moved away for a time and wore braces for seven long years throughout high school. I was so self-conscious that I barely smiled--definitely never with my teeth. When I returned to Ohio before my senior year, I still had braces and felt defeated. That's when Dr. Salem stepped in. At my first appointment back, with the help of my dad, Dr. Salem removed my braces and restored my confidence with beautifully done crowns. It was the first time in seven years that I felt truly comfortable smiling with my teeth--and I haven't stopped since. I'm beyond grateful for Dr. Salem and the Summit Dentistry team. I do not recommend this dentist. They make patients wait an exorbitant amount of time (over an hour) to be seen and after waiting that long then refuse to work on the patient. I think they would do better in downtown Akron rather than in Fairlawn. read more

I've found Dr. Salem & his staff to be highly professional. I shared my "fear of the dentist" when I first came to them 4 years ago. They shared their desire to help with my fear by explaining procedures to me and to let them know if I was in pain or feeling uncomfortable during the procedure. Knowing they cared about my well-being, made my fear less. They have completed a lot of dental work & I felt little to no discomfort. My teeth look great! I also love my teeth cleanings with Rachel. She not only cleans my teeth to perfection, but has helped me with tips to keep my teeth looking great in-between cleanings. Thus my cleanings are shorter & shorter because my teeth have less plaque. All in all, this group of professionals lead by Dr. Salem are the best dental office I've ever encountered. I so happy I've found them. read more

I truly can't recommend this office enough. I was a new patient who needed a few different procedures done in a short time frame. I was accommodated within 2 days from my initial appointment and (I'm shocked to say) I had a phenomenal experience. Dr. Cunningham has probably the best bedside manner I've experienced at any medical appointment I've had, the rest of the staff was equally friendly and kind, making the time fly by. I was consistently made sure I was comfortable and also walked through the how's and why's of every step of the process. If you're looking for a new dentist, you won't be disappointed if you go with this group. 10/10. read more

I started going to Summit Dentistry at the end of 2021. I knew I needed a lot of work done as it had been a while since I'd been to a dentist. I ended up getting a crown in July 2022 and was given my out of pocket costs after insurance when I left the appointment. I went in October for 2 root canals and crown ms and was quoted over $4000 after they'd already started to numb me. Up to this point they had never provided me a quote prior to services being started. They said I'd reached my max benefits with insurance for the year so I declined services until my plan rolled over in January. I went back in January and again was not provided a quote prior to services starting. When I left with the temporary crowns, they said I owed over $600 more than I what I'd paid previously for a root canal and crown. They explained this was a new $300 per tooth "lab fee" and it was due to the increased prices due to inflation. But those increased prices aren't included in the services that are submitted to insurance. This is 100% due from the patient. I was given no opportunity to decline services due to this random charge nor was I even told this was a new policy. As you can see from a different poster, they too were surprised by this random fee. I never went back for my permanent crowns to be put in. I requested multiple times to discuss this issue and was told I'd need to speak to the Office Manager who wasn't in but they give her my message. She never called me back. I sent emails requesting a call with no response. I did get to speak to her today where she admitted their lack of responding to me was their way of saying they weren't going to change the fees. I have not and will not pay them. They've received payment from my insurance for services that were not rendered. I still have temporary crowns in 7 months later. The services rendered by his staff were fine for me up to this point. I did have a different hygienist each time I went and a different dentist doing the work each time. Dr Salem seems like more of a supervisor than one actually doing any of the dental work. The office has been recently remodeled and they have a lot of state of the art equipment and tools. So you're definitely going to pay more to go here than other dentists. read more

The office has state of the art equipment as other reviewers said. Like other reviewers, by the time I got my crown put on (a 3 month period from when I initially went for treatment), my out of pocket cost went from $425 to $725. I will never go back. I think the price I was quoted in August should have been honored since it was not my fault they delayed final treatment for 3 months. read more

My husband and I joined this practice today. They are amazing! The front desk is polite, friendly and highly professional. We each had a different hygienist, and different dentist, but came into the lobby saying, "I love this place!". Another woman we met immediately agreed. It was also her first visit. Summit has some of the nicest people around. They were able to get me in quickly, no waiting weeks to see the dentist. My issue was looked at and addressed, very well and professionally. I didn't have any unnecessary work done, like X-rays of my whole mouth just to address one tooth's issue. The dentist was personable, knowledgeable and quick to diagnose my problem and come up with a solution. His staff was also very knowledgeable and pleasant to talk with. This was my first time visiting the office and my time here was nothing but pleasant . From the time I walked through the door every one was so nice and greeted me immediately. The waiting area was very clean and offered several beverages . The time I had to wait to be seen was less then 10 minutes . The hygienist that took care of me was very nice and outgoing . All the dental staff assistants were nothing but friendly! I highly recommend visiting this office for any of your dental needs ! I was able to talk to the doctor about getting my teeth straightened. I have seen Dr. Saleh a few times since high school. I typically see his wife, Dr. Kalaf, out in Solon. Of course, I had pain from the weekend that needed to be addressed, and Dr. Kalaf was out of town, but the office encouraged me to call Summit Denistry, as Dr. Saleh would be addressing her emergencies. Sierra fit me in immediately and I was able to be seen within an hour and a half! This was one of the only times in my entire life where I was able to get in and out of the dentist. Dr. Saleh addressed, diagnosed and went to work on me right away. I was so grateful at his genuine interest in helping relieve my pain and for seeing me on such short notice. Nicole was also very helpful, and explained my procedure twice to me so I understood. She was so patient with my questions! The facility had extremely modern equipment, was spotlessly clean, and had some of the nicest office staff I've ever encountered. Thank you, Dr. Saleh, for helping relieve my pain so quickly! The team here has been awesome. I have really bad anxiety when I'm at the dentist where I'll start shaking and crying and they've done everything to accommodate this and make sure I feel okay. i was in the worst pain ever and i spoke with a co worker that spoke very highly of this dentist so i called at 11am and they got me in at 11:45am seriously, i knew my teeth weren't in the best best shape and i also knew i needed a root canal which was why i was in so much pain . the dentist was very nice and up front about everything i needed done and also insisted on doing the procedure right then so i let him and i will say they made sure i was comfortable during the procedure and i left the office pain free ... thank you to dr.salem and your staff i will be returning. they are the best! read more

at my appointment I found that Dr Salem is very rude to his staff and talks down to them. everytine I come to the office for an appointment there is a new member to the staff, I find it not very comforting to see such a turnover with staff because if he isnt treating his employees good, what does the patient have coming?? Dr salem will not discuss options with you he just tries to read your pockets and assumes you have the funds to pay for the procedure that day. I think that is very inconsiderate to people and the times we are in right now to insinuate someone has thousands of dollars for a procedure that was not planned prior to coming to appointment. My husband hates going to the dentist so he put off going to the dentist until he was in so much pain, he couldn't sleep. I called around but no one could take him right away except for Dr. Salem's office. I got an emergency appointment but day before, I got a discount dental card from dentalplans dot com. I got the Cigna plan that saved us $700 off final bill. Anyway his teeth were infected and soooooo painful. He got a root canal which we thought would be so horrible but it wasn't bad at all. It was so surprising cause we've heard horror stories. They now have technology to kill the nerve so don't be afraid. Dr. Salem and his staff were so great! I can't thank them enough for taking care of his pain so fast. They were all so friendly, they seemed like family. We won't go anywhere else. read more

"Summit Dentistry can not be rated anything less than 5 stars. To start, the waiting room, office, and the work areas are impeccably clean; all practices to guard against contamination were uses (gloves, instruments professionally cleaned, etc.); state of the art diagnostic equipment and record keeping; patients have option to sign up for phone text and/or e-mail appointment reminder; professional and competent staff. In addition, Dr. Salem is by far the best dentist my family and I have ever used. I have been using his services for well over 10 years and would not use another dentist. Incidentally, they have great coffee and newspapers if you show up early for your appointment. And, the price for his outstanding services are reasonable. read more

I love this dental office. Upon walking in, you are greeted by a very friendly front desk staff. Coffee and water are available and the waiting room is very clean. I typically see Doctor Salem. He is so nice. SO nice. He genuinely cares about my dental health. I don't have good genetics when it comes to my teeth. I could brush and floss all day and still get a cavity, it's just my anatomy. Also, my pediatric dentist did not follow through correctly with much of my dental work (braces and retainer hygiene), so at 30 years old, it is now manifesting itself. Each time I see him, he just genuinely wants to help me, and is truly sad that I had a bad experience as a child and wants to keep me healthy. He recommends products and gives tips to help me prevent further damage. He truly cares, as do his hygienists. They are all so friendly. The staff are incredibly helpful and make you comfortable during the cleaning. I have a small mouth and have issues with the normal x-rays; the dental hygienist had a work around to make getting the x-rays easy. Dr. Salem was extremely personable. He said he would put about two minor fillings in and on the day of the appointment drilled about five of my teeth and then cracked one. I was horrified. This was about seven years ago. Please do not believe the good reviews. When this maniac is desperate for money he is going to do someone else like this again. He saw my insurance and all of a sudden decided to take it upon himself to drill until he destroyed my teeth. It cost thousands of dollars to try and undo what he did to my mouth, that was in near perfect shape before he put this shit in my mouth. Every time I've ever visited this office, Dr. Saleh pops in for 5 seconds says, "looks good" and then leaves. Very unprofessional and impersonable. I've also had poor customer service from the receptionists by having to send multiple emails and never getting a response. Dr. Salem convinced me to get fillings and then drilled my teeth to far and left me in great pain. It took two other dentists to fix what he did. Do not go here. Avoid this dentist at all costs! Initially seemed like a great place with friendly, helpful staff, knowledgeable doctors, and all of the state-of-the-art equipment a dentist's office could have; but do not be fooled! The doctor invented a story about my husband needing 11 cavities filled (and we believed him, without even getting a second opinion - ugh!), and several years later tried to prescribe me an antibiotic for a gum disease that I didn't even have (thankfully, a second opinion yielded better information - sensitive teeth with eroding enamel, so I was "prescribed" Sensodyne and nightly grind guard wear, and I have been pain-free ever since)! Their bills are also extremely difficult to read, and the office staff could never explain what the charges were for or what we actually owed. PATIENT BEWARE!!! read more

I've been to this office a couple of a times and each time has been a headache. They can't seem to give proper prices for the services that they offer. The doctor would say one price and the receptionist would say something else. I was standing at the counter about to hand over my credit card to pay and the doctor walks by and says she needs to come back in to have a cavity filled. Why couldn't you tell me that while I was sitting in the chair is beyond me. I went to another more professional and organized office and doctor out of state and I don't even have a cavity! Additionally, I just called in to to report the unprofessional staff and doctor in the office and the receptionist Kayla acted like she didn't even care. I will NEVER go back to this office again. It is horrible and the doctor needs to read over his material again before saying something that isn't even true. I WILL NOT recommend this office to anyone. read more

I had the most amazing experience a person could habe at the dentist! I recently was involved in a car accident and when i went to get a quote for my two upper crowns, everyone was exceedingly pleasant and polite. The wait was not even 10 mins and the x-rays were only 30secs! Painless in and out. The 2 ladies who worked on me were bery knowledgeable and always catering to make sure I wasn't in pain and if so to alleviate it when needed. When the Dr. came in man was he funny! He also did an extraction of my right upper wiadom tooth and here's where you can appreciate a good Dr. As he progressed, novakin was my best friend and not evem 5 mins later he had it out and was on to my crowns! I didn't evem KNOW he took it out it was that quick! I don't usually do reviews but in this case It would be an insult not to. Literally, everyone cares.
