We'll see what happens next, but I've been hounded by these clowns for a couple of months. They've called so many times that it's now considered harassment. The first time they called they said it was for a payday loan. I only used a payday loan 21 years ago and I don't remember not paying it. These people have called me many times in the past week on a phone number 509-8 00-4544. When I asked for information they said that I had used a cash service, I have never used a cash service. I spoke to Amanda and Connor both of whom chose to hang up on me when I asked them for a copy of the original contract with my signature for the debt, full payment history from the original creditor, the name and address of the original creditor, proof that they now own or have been assigned the debt to collect. I have been repeatedly contacted by scammers posing as debt collectors under this business name (SRS), which they say stands for Summit Recovery Services. They had previously been calling me a few months ago, announcing themselves as MRS, but under the same pretext of trying to collect on a debt from "EZ Cash." They call every several weeks, but blocking their number doesn't work, as they keep changing their callback number. They declined to tell me a physical location where this transaction took place, but they provided a time during March of 2018, but I wasn't in the country at that time, nor do I ever take out payday loans. No such debt is listed on my credit report, and the story I got was that the client didn't report it to the credit bureaus, which doesn't add up. I asked them where a payment check might be mailed, but they declined to provide an address, stating that due to COVID restrictions, payments would only be accepted electronically by providing a credit or debit card number. They say they are trying to collect on a payday loan I supposedly took out in 2019. I haven't taken any payday loan since MAYBE 2010 (?). I filed for bankruptcy and it was discharged in October of 2012. These "recovery services" buy data from other "recovery services" and try to use it to get money. The 2019 date, is the date that they bought the data and was entered into their own system. The original payday loan was taken out in 2011, and it was adjudicated through my bankruptcy in 2012. read more
