This school goes from K-Grade 8 and is really small and focused on giving each student individual attention and maximizing their potential. When I graduated there were only 135 kids in the entire school and my class was made up of 15 kids. It has a synagogue on the main floor because the school rents the upper floor and basement which is where they have a gym. This is a private school without the uniforms and has lots of field trip activities and even puts on annual plays at Queens Theater in the Park. If you're in the neighborhood then this is a great place to bring your children to. The relationships you create here are extra strong and I am still friends with almost half my graduating class. P.S. It's expensive as hell though

From what I understand, this school was one of the best private schools around. But now I think…read morethe school, though still good as far as education is concerned, but the worse when it comes to the attitude of the teachers and the principal herself. First of all, with the amount of money you pay for tuition, the school has no nurse or a counselor on staff. If anything happens to your child they just send him or her to the principal where they give him or her a band aid and cold compress. They even made a 4-year old hold an ice-pack on her fore-head all day without a teacher's help. And may God help you if your child is a little strong-willed, they will not only treat the child as a plague, but you the parent also. I have never seen a school so intolerant as this school. Their attitude to the parent who complains is unbelievably rude. I think the worse mistake I ever made was bringing my child to this school. My child has since gone to Catholic school and is doing very well.

Greetings Fellow Yelpers!…read more Since my last review of The Mary Louis Academy (TMLA), I have been personally visited by faculty members of the school on more than one occasion and although I do not appreciate how I was spoken to, I no longer hold so much anger for the events I experienced. Surely things have improved, so it's time for a friendly update! (If my visitors are reading this, no...you didn't scare or intimidate me... I'm just not angry anymore.) My own experience at TMLA was negative and humiliating. But I cannot imagine that the issues that were present years ago could continue to slip by unnoticed. Although my time at The Academy did not benefit me, there are many others who did find it helpful. Eventful and informative open houses are held at least once a year and visiting parents and students have a chance to speak with EVERYONE. My advice is to pay very close attention and to simply ask the right questions. Wishing students, parents and faculty the very best! Good Luck!

They go above and beyond for the children, to make sure they're happy and safe in all aspects of life. They always thrive to maintain an environment where the kids are welcome and loved by their peers. Their education is taught in an innovative way where each and every child is up to par and feels included. As far as tuition, they are the most affordable and will work with you. I highly recommend you sending your child to Yeshiva Primary. You will not be disappointed.

This school will make you have the worst experience ever. The food isn't safe for consumption as…read moretheir hotdogs gave the entire school food poisoning and the principal blamed it on the kids saying "You must have gotten heartburn from something you brung from home lime a yogurt" no one one was allowed to bring food from home so we immediately knew she tried to defend the school for this heinous and disgusting act. Another thing is that this school doesn't take care of bullying. Terrible kids pick on nice people for no reason and the school doesn't do anything about it other than telling the victims to ignore them, but once a student stands up for themselves, they see it as a problem. And that's not an over exaggeration. I have experienced this multiple times in this school and so have many students. The teachers are insane as well, as they treat these kids as if they are in a concentration camp, yelling at them for doing something as yawning. And that's no joke. I remember a teacher making someone defecate their pants because she wouldn't let them go to the bathroom and she had the audacity to get mad at him. This school is a hell that you shouldn't send your kids too. Spare them the pain and find some place else to send them to.
