I took a new sweater there (only worn twice) to be cleaned, it came back with hair all over it and a blue spot on the top of the sleeve that wasn't there when I took it in. I took it back and when I picked it up, my sweater was destroyed. Not only was the stain still there but because Summit Cleaners scrubbed the spot with some kind of solvent the area feels hard and the fibers are now stretched causing the sleeve to be 2 inches longer than the other sleeve. I immediately took the sweater back to Summit Cleaners and the women at the counter agreed with me that the sweater was ruined. She took my information and said the owner, Peter Patel, would call me in the morning. Of course, he did not and I had to track him down. After describing the situation and sending him pictures he told me that they do not take any responsibility for items that are brought in to be cleaned. "You bring them in at your own risk", was what he said. He refuses to do anything about my destroyed sweater!!

WTF you are a laundromat. Not like they are cheap or have new machines. I could also understand if they ran a dryer promo or something. It's a shitty laundry in the middle of the worst part of Scranton. Seems like racism because I was the only white lady in there and was refused service and told to leave. Has a good amount of machines plus 3 different sizes. The prices vary from $2 - $3.25 and the dryers are really big and are the .25 for 7 minutes. In town so there is a lot to do while you are waiting for the clothes to wash and dry. 4 stars because like most there's no worker in there and no bathroom. But other than that it's not too bad. And I love the fact that after drying, the clothing didn't have a burning smell as most old dryers have. So that's a plus. Will be heading back there from now on!
