My friend and I were able to find parking in the lot and walk right up to the top! The chapel itself is very small and probably only fits about 30 people for service, but the gift shop underneath was much larger than I expected. What stood out most to me was the incredible scenery all around: the red rocks, blue sky, and sweeping valley views made it such a memorable place and there were photo-worthy views in almost every direction. The best part was definitely the view outside, since the mountains looked absolutely incredible.

Built into a mountain, you will likely never see a church this unique in your lifetime. You can come and light a prayer candle, have silent reflection, and connect with your spirituality. Note: there is a gift shop downstairs under the church. I almost missed it because there are no visible signs. Worth a browse. Logistically, however, I'm not sure if I would ever do this again. We visited in the late morning (before lunch) on a week day. Parking took over 30 minutes, and presented a bit of an unsafe situation with people blindly backing their cars into a curvy steep hill while pedestrians walked without paying attention. I enjoy gathering with the community as he speaks on spiritual subjects (Christ consciousness). Michael Mirdad is such a skilled speaker he kept me and my friends' attention for over 6 hours - and that was after ther service we just attended! Added bonus was their store where we bought books, jewelry and other items. I was in area last week with my daughter and went to nearby stores- we left feeling like they were trying to take advantage of us and bought nothing. Here- however we bought items at a good price and no tax since they are a church! My friends mom just passed and our day hete was the best medicine we could of asked for- it was truly divine. I will go on Facebook and YouTube and follow the sermons now each Sunday, but if in area I highly recommend the service which starts off dancing to " Love Train"! You have to park in a lot, take the metro rail to the entrance and then make sure you use the bathroom first thing because there are no other bathrooms. Watch others to see how they tackle the rocks and hills and different areas. Also, trust when I say that you will get red dirt all over you and what you carry. Make sure you have a backpack and water bottle that you can just carry on your person. When you reach the top, it is truly a masterpiece! Going down was harder than going up by the way. Be very careful on your way down. Took us about 1.5 hours to get to the top and then about the same going back down. Watched a few people slip and fall, walk barefoot, and even touch the cactus. We're so glad we took this trail as beginners in Sedona.
