This was our first time visiting The Chapel of the Holy Cross in Sedona, AZ…read more The Chapel of the Holy Cross is a Roman Catholic chapel and welcomes all visitors of faith. The chapel was completed in 1956 with a cost of $300K. While there are no tickets or entry fees required, donations are always welcome to help maintain the site. There's free parking available all the way to the top of the chapel and free shuttle service. There's a gift shop to buy books and beautiful rosaries etc. The chapel offers spectacular panoramic views and a peaceful atmosphere. Check it out when in the area! Happy Yelping :)

Absolutely stunning but a logistical nightmare!…read more I will start with the positive. This chapel is small but gorgeous. Built into a mountain, you will likely never see a church this unique in your lifetime. You can come and light a prayer candle, have silent reflection, and connect with your spirituality. Note: there is a gift shop downstairs under the church. I almost missed it because there are no visible signs. Worth a browse. Logistically, however, I'm not sure if I would ever do this again. We visited in the late morning (before lunch) on a week day. Parking took over 30 minutes, and presented a bit of an unsafe situation with people blindly backing their cars into a curvy steep hill while pedestrians walked without paying attention. There were also just way too many people; I felt claustrophobic most of the experience. The views outside are gorgeous and highly photogenic, but WOW! Crazy busy.

I love visiting this center whenever I'm in Sedona or even driving through to Phoenix. Sunday…read moreservice with Micheal Mirdad is always an experience and he has a great sense of humor as well. I enjoy gathering with the community as he speaks on spiritual subjects (Christ consciousness). The gift shop has so many wonderful pieces, which are a lot less than the tourist gift shops and try the crystal bed for deep relaxation and meditation session- AMAZING.

What a joy to be in area for Sunday service and ended up spending entire day at a special event…read morelistening to Michael talk about a book on the Gospel of Aquarius. Michael Mirdad is such a skilled speaker he kept me and my friends' attention for over 6 hours - and that was after ther service we just attended! Added bonus was their store where we bought books, jewelry and other items. I was in area last week with my daughter and went to nearby stores- we left feeling like they were trying to take advantage of us and bought nothing. Here- however we bought items at a good price and no tax since they are a church! My friends mom just passed and our day hete was the best medicine we could of asked for- it was truly divine. I will go on Facebook and YouTube and follow the sermons now each Sunday, but if in area I highly recommend the service which starts off dancing to " Love Train"! If this appeals to you - as it dies me ... get onboard!!!
