Goddard also does so many wonderful things in the community as well. It is really a wonderful little school.

Additionally, they went up 16.5% on our tuition last year, and another price increase is coming in the next month or so. On top of the price increase, they have cut some of their services. They used to offer a full breakfast, but they have changed that to an AM snack instead. It's very frustrating to be charged more for tuition and get less services. I would've highly recommended this place a year or so ago, but they are the most expensive place in town and you can probably find better quality elsewhere. We are in the process of looking at new facility to move our daughter.

This was the last school we toured and it was a definitely a "save the best for last" situation. Of course, I had no idea, but I asked the universe to lead me to the perfect school and OF COURSE, that's literally what I got. I just have to say FIRST, I'm soooooooo excited for my kids to attend here and SECOND when I entered this place I just felt overcome with tranquility from the music they had on, which was like meditation music and my kids (3) and (2) went straight to Priya, the director, which made me feel even more at peace. And then when my son asked her where his cubby was she said, "when you come back we will have one ready for with your name." I thought that was very sweet. Then when my kiddos kept playing with the paint bottles after I told them not to, she again very gracefully stepped in and redirected them. She didn't say no, or anything like that. Just, "it's not paint time," but "do you guys wanna come over here to check out the kitchen?" Once again, I was like YES!!!! We can't wait to start in the Fall.. I just loved it from the 45 min or so my tour lasted, and so did my kiddos. I have so much respect for what Priya is doing, thank you for making this mama feel like "this is our place."

The teachers are genuinely so caring, creative, and dedicated to the children. Our daughter has thrived in ways that we could not have predicted, both socially and academically. The activities they provide are so much fun for the kids, our daughter got to hatch baby chicks, grow butterflies and have so many hands-on, nature-based learning experiences. It's such a joyful environment for the children and we couldn't be more grateful.

However, when we got there 15 minutes prior to our scheduled time the director was nowhere to be found and we were just sitting there. I finally asked the lady at the front desk when we could meet with the director and she told me she was not there, but still at her son's doctor appt. I totally understood that, however, she asked me to reschedule for later so of course, I said yes. I received confirmation to my phone and then another notification saying the staff was out due to a stomach bug or something like that. I understand. However, after that I expected to get a call from the director or the school to reschedule once again but that never happened. My intention in writing this is just for another mama to take my experience into consideration when looking for the perfect fit for their kiddos. It just seemed/s off. However, I went with my gut and found the school I was looking for AMEN!

This was by FAR the worst experience we've with a daycare. For reference, KA was our 3rd daycare so…read morefar (we recently moved to the area). Where to begin: 1. Prior to enrolling, our 2yr old was going through her 'biting' stages of toddlerhood. She had two incidents at her prior school with a long stint of no incidents after that before enrolling in KA. Once enrolled at KA, our 2yr old went on biting streak. Upon further investigation as to why this kept happening, I found out that A) the classroom was incredibly overcrowded - there was no way any amount of teachers could keep an eye on that amount of kids and B) everyday there was a new teacher in the classroom. The teacher churn was UNREAL. That tells me they don't pay their teachers jack squat and kids run the place so of course the teachers don't care. After awhile, they would start sending my 2yr old home after an incident. How the F am I supposed to pay for daycare if I also have to watch my child? I brought this up to management but they didn't care. Eventually our 2yr old was kicked out of KA. At her new school, she's had one incident of biting in 6 months. Her class has the same 2 teachers M-F and a much smaller class size. 2. KA will take any and every excuse to either close down or send your child home for the day, not just major holidays or incidents, not to mention the 2 weeks off around Christmas/New Years that you are EXPECTED to continue to pay for. Training day for teachers 2-3 times per year? Schools closed, kids stay home and you pay for it. Woke holiday? Schools closed, you pay for it. Mild storm expected? Schools closed, you pay for it. 3. This school is incredibly cheap and although the facilities are nice, good luck trying to get a refund or vacation time without escalating it past management to the owners. All in all, I would avoid unless its your only option.

We were notified at 6 PM on Friday that our daughter could not come back full time on Monday. Needless to say, it has put us in a terrible position. I can understand staffing turnover has made it difficult for them but they gave us no notice and chose to not keep my daughter in the program because she doesn't have siblings. In other words, they made a business decision about my daughter and our value to them as a family. We always paid in advance so she would never have to deal with her care being transactional and they could focus on her without worrying about the money side of it. Unfortunately, we just weren't valued here. To boot, since we pay in advance they had a check in hand for this week and despite me telling them not to, deposited it. Now we have to try to get our money back.

They made the enrollment process easy and immediately put us at ease. The teachers and staff are truly some of the best people you'll ever meet. It's obvious they genuinely love what they do, and they care for the children as if they were their own. One thing that really stands out is the food--they serve healthy, well-balanced, thoughtfully planned meals each week, which gives us such peace of mind. As a parent, one of my favorite things is the communication throughout the day. Receiving pictures, updates, and little glimpses into my child's day means more than I can put into words. Those updates are such a thoughtful touch and something I truly appreciate. Like many first-time parents, I had plenty of nerves about sending my child to daycare. But Little Sunshine's quickly erased those fears. We've always felt confident that our child is safe, loved, learning, and thriving every single day! We've been at LSP Hendersonville for a little over a year and it's been a wonderful experience. My…read moreson has thrived here. He loves all the extra curricular programs that he does weekly (all included in tuition!). We love that they have an amazing chef (shout out to Miss Dani!) who exposes them to all kinds of healthy snacks and meals. The biggest difference that I've seen here compared to our last daycare is how present the admin team is. I see someone every morning and afternoon and I love that they know my child and I know how present they are because he knows them all by name. We've also had wonderful teachers with less turnover than we saw at our last daycare. My son talks about Miss Sarah and Miss Kim constantly and looks forward to their day. They keep such a great routine and he knows exactly what's going to happen in the morning which makes our mornings run more smoothly (if that's possible with a 2 year old).

We are very impressed with the Goddard School. All of the teachers have degrees in early childhood…read moredevelopment or similar areas, and it shows. Each week the school has a theme, and each age group learns an age-appropriate lesson relevant to that theme. Examples are recycling, sign language, etc. There is a rock climbing wall for older kids, an outdoor gardening area, a library, and so many thoughtful touches. The staff are very friendly and take the time to get to know all of the kids. They are very clean; everything that touches a kid's mouth goes into a bleach bath before being passed to another child. The classrooms are well maintained. Our child smiles when being dropped off and when we pick him up. That's a great sign. He hugs on his teachers, so I know he likes them. We are so appreciative to have our child in such a great daycare.

His skills with taking direction's and interacting with other students is a added bonus! Our 6 year old who is now in Kindergarten has done very well and enjoyed learning.
