    New Solar Unit

My solar system went down on Christmas Eve and I contacted Sun Craftsmen Solar. John Gallo responded immediately and walked me through a few steps to reboot my system but to no avail. An appointment was set and the parts were ordered. Luis the technician arrived on time and was as professional as could be. The elements outside were rough that day with the wind and cold. Luis worked through some connection issues like a pro and my system was repaired that day. The pricing was upfront, fair and there were many options to pay. I highly recommend this company because in my opinion people like John and Luis are becoming harder to find these days. True professionals who get the job done right. My family appreciates you guys!!

If there are more stars, I would give more! What a great company they are. This company was highly recommended by one of my dear friends who I trust. And John, owner, was the one who gave me all the logical answers to my questions that made sense to me the best compare to other companies who I talked to. He had no BS which some other companies did, he was a straight shooter, efficient and super nice. Price he gave me was better than other companies as well. And his crews were super nice and polite as well, I had pleasant moment every time I saw them working outside of my house. Even I had other workers full house; working on some other parts of my house, they were always smiling and never complained. And solar panels are so beautifully installed! I highly highly recommend this company. I was so anxious about hiring a right company, but I had none after I decided to go with them. So, if you are considering which company to go with, call and talk to John. He will take care of everything, you will have nothing to worry. I had an awesome time working with them, Thank you so much for an awesome work! :D

We have installed our solar panel through Suncrafsmen over 4 years now. Our unit is running strong and have saved us so much money over the past 4 years. I remember I went through many solar companies before picked SunCraftsmen. I asked over 10 questions and John(the owner) answered each question in a timely manner with tremendous detail. Solar was a big investment for us and John respected our selection process and provided us professional opinions and taught us how solar works and what to expect in each step of the installation. I picked SunCraftsmen over other bigger companies because I felt I could trust John the most. The whole installation took less than a week and we were able to use our solar energy within two weeks from the beginning of the install.

We recently had a PV solar system installed by John and his team. This is a local business run by a local team, and they do amazing work. Their pricing is absolutely competitive with other companies, and with John, you get to work with someone who really really seems to care. I haven't hesitated to name-drop whenever anyone asks about solar. John is a consummate expert if his field, but the most important things to me was his availability. No matter what type of question I had, he would get back to me within a very short amount of time, and during the actual site visits- he took the time to explain everything to me. John's install team was wonderful as well- they seemed proud of their work, and took great care in ensuring everything down to the conduit paint color matched perfectly. Overall, I'm VERY happy with the work Sun Craftsmen Solar did for me and my family. Their enthusiasm for not only doing the job, but doing it right, is commendable. John, thanks for taking such good care of my project!

One of my two inverters stopped working. I have sunnyboy 3800 installed (2006 version and 2009 version). The 2009 version stopped working. I'd like to upgrade my inverters. Do you know what it would cost (8.4kw system)?

I would call them I don't think they monitor Yelp.

However, upon completeing the job, the project manager Tim Broughton called me, helped me log on to the Enphase app so that I could monitor the panels. After I confirmed that I was logged in, I was told that I was up and running And they were done. I was happy thinking I was now running on the sun. Wrong. So very wrong. I received my electric bill and astonished to see the electric portion was over $800.00. I called the power company and was told that the $130.00 application fee had not been paid. I notified Mr. Broughton and he immediatley saw that the bill for the application fee was paid and apologized for the error. Now the fun begins. I called the power company and asked when they would be out to install the proper meter for solar panels. I was informed that no application for a meter to be installed was on file and that I had to submit an application for interconnection. Hmm? No one mentioned anything to me about completing and application or that I had to contact the power company. I completed the PTO (Permission to Operate) form and based on the questions being asked and the information I needed to provide leads me to believe the Solar company was responsible for completing this form and sending the required fee. Ok. Lets not look to for someone to blame, lets just get the proper meter installed. I completed the PTO and submitted it. The power company came out a couple of weeks later and installed the a new meter. Onlyit was not a meter for solar panels. They installed the same new meter but it was the same meter as the meter I already had. I asked them why they didn't put on a solar meter and I was told that I needed to submit a PTO for a SOLAR METER, which is different. And by the way, they have a special person that installs solar meters and a special person to install regular meters. This seemed rather stupid to me. I ask the power comapany rep for the contact info for the solar department and he told he didn't know. I won't name the power company. LADwp. The one good thing the DWP rep did upon arriving to his office was to send an email to contact the proper department at the power company. I assumed he would have just gone about his business and let me flounder. I started on the second application which asked for job site photos. This was to me another indication that the solar installer was suppose to complete this form because Joe Citizen would not know what photos they were required. I did observe that periodically, the workers would take photos, but none were ever sent to me. Now I'm in the middle of August 2026 with fingers, legs, arms, eyes and anything else, maybe the dogs and cats, crossed hoping that this time I will get a meter. The bottom line is I would still recommend AWS SOLAR to anyone, but I'd have to caution them to make sure they get you connected and ALL fees are paid. Because I was dealing with the City of LA and being constantly sent to voice mail and waiting for call backs, this experience was horrendous.

It's 4 year in a row now the system failed to produce the minimum guaranteed production. AWS Solar chose to compensate for the shortfall again; we'll see what the 5th year production looks like. I suggested replacing some of the panels with the higher power ones to solve the issue, but I guess they want to see more data.

I really appreciate the direct accountability and quick resolution. I'm leaving my original review below for transparency, but their prompt response today restored my confidence in their management. I originally had a positive experience with California Solar Electric during my 10.12 kW solar and Powerwall 3 installation last year. Unfortunately, their post-install customer support and business ethics are nonexistent. I referred a friend who completed their installation months ago. I was explicitly promised a $500 referral bonus for this. After months of waiting, I tried following up multiple times privately to give them a chance to make it right, but I am now being completely ignored. It's a shame because I have several neighbors here in Fountain Valley who are currently shopping around for solar and battery storage. I was planning to refer them here, but I cannot recommend a company that fails to honor its own written agreements and ducks communication. Buyer beware: the installation team does good work, but do not trust a word management says about referral incentives or post-sale promises. Still waiting for my $500.

Spencer from DLS Development gave a great pitch, plus the quote was one of the lowest we received from almost all roofing companies. They reached out over a month later to check in and offer an additional discount. Pros: The workers did an excellent job and worked from nearly sunup to sundown. They had a few questions, which I could answer (or get my husband to answer) when I was around. It took about 4 days for them to tear off the old shingles and install the new ones. And it was hot out there! They did the work quickly, professionally, and efficiently! One of the crew members performed a walk-through with my husband once they finished, and my husband was very pleased with the finished product. I feel very grateful looking at my roof now, since the old one was very old. Cons Once we signed the contract and paid the initial deposit, we were told that the permit for our house needed to be pulled and that it would take about a week. Almost two weeks later, I asked the project manager if she had pulled the permit and when the project could begin. She then let me know the roofers would begin the following week. I guess I hoped that the project manager would have reached out to me first to let me know that the permit situation was complete and that they would begin the roofing process. You need to take initiative and find out what's happening, since I've never had a roof replaced before. Next, the project manager informed us they discovered and replaced rotted wood. The project manager sent us a change order for the additional amount, yet the contract did not list any extra charge for rotted wood. Additionally, they had already replaced the "rotted wood" before we signed anything, and they had no clear photos showing any rotted wood. It took a lot of emails and texts back and forth before we reached a resolution we were happy with. Still, it was a headache and frustrating for several days; we had to deal with uncertainty and explanations. Finally, the project manager never confirmed when the inspector for the last inspection would actually come to our house to collect my signature on a form. We didn't know whether we needed to be at home, leave the document out somewhere, or when the process would officially end. I received an email from the project manager asking me to reply and attach the form with my signature, as the inspector had come around but could not collect it because I was not there. I replied to the email with the form and asked the project manager if I needed to do anything else. Only when I reached out again to the general DLS development general email was I told what day the inspector would come around again to collect the form. We're thrilled with the roof and the quality of work, but it would've been less of a headache to have a lot of this information up front without having to keep asking, since I'm unfamiliar with the roof process. I also had to email the general DLS development email, as the project manager was not responding to some questions and concerns as quickly as I would've liked. I know she probably had a million things going on, but it felt like I got a response much quicker once I emailed through the general company email. This was not a cheap project, and I feel like this company lacks clear communication, but their workers and work are absolutely outstanding.

I first spoke with Levon on August 10th and informed him of exactly what I was looking for. Levon designed the exact system I was looking for and was available day and night to answer all of the questions we had regarding changes and updates to the system. Levon was extremely knowledgeable on the entire process and emailed us during every step of the process. Our system was installed on September 7th and would have been earlier if it wasn't for us delaying the project being out of town and not getting the documents back to Levon sooner. Overall even with the delays the system was installed less than 30 days after contacting Levon. The install was very smooth and the foreman for the install project explained the entire process that morning and what the next steps would be. Again everything that was explained was exactly how the process went to the very last detail. The solar inspection from the city was on September 16th and we received PTO on September 20th. Our system has been operating for almost two months now I don't have one complaint about except I wish I would've call Levon at Solar Shoppers from the beginning. If you are looking to get solar for your home I would definitely recommend getting a quote form Solar Shoppers. Of all the companies I spoke with no of them could beat Solar SHoppers price or timeline to complete the install.

Buyers beware. If you're considering doing business with this company, I strongly recommend reading…read morethe contract very carefully and getting clarification on every single term before signing anything. I was presented with a contract involving a 25-year commitment, and after reviewing it, I had a long list of questions because I found information that appeared to be missing, unclear, or contradictory. These were not minor questions, they were important details that could affect us financially over the life of the agreement. I sent my questions directly to Levon Juni, Vice President of the company, expecting that someone in leadership would take the time to address them. His response was that he didn't have time to answer all of my questions. That response was extremely concerning to me. When you are asking a customer to commit to a 25-year agreement, I believe there should be transparency and enough time to explain the terms and address reasonable questions before expecting someone to sign. My advice to anyone considering this company: slow down, read everything, ask questions, and don't feel pressured to sign until you completely understand what you're agreeing to. If something in the contract is unclear or contradictory, get it explained in writing before moving forward. For me, the lack of clarity and the unwillingness to fully address my questions were major red flags. A 25-year commitment is a serious financial decision, and homeowners deserve clear answers before signing on the dotted line.
