It was perfect to get some fruit, drinks, and breakfast items. This grocery store is located in a plaza with a Starbucks. It is next door to a Liquor Mart. There was a lot of parking available. This store also has a Mobil gas station across from it. When you walk into the store, the produce section is in front of you. It looked fresh and appealing. I ended up getting a bag of imperfectly perfect gala apples, which lasted my entire stay in Winnipeg. They were delicious. I also picked up a twelve-pack of Pepsi zero lime. It also lasted my entire stay. It was refreshing to consume cold with some ice. I also got some unsweetened vanilla almond beverage. It was the same deal having it cold, but without a ton of sugar. The vanilla was subtle. I realized that I didn't have any breakfast items, which prompted me to return the following day. Done! I got some Pizza Pops that were on sale. This store had the limited taco version that is awesome if you like a bit of spice to them. I then got distracted seeing Hostess cakes going for $2 a box. I don't recall ever having the vanilla cupcakes, so I got some. You get six cupcakes, with two of them hermetically sealed in each package. I managed to take a couple back home after this trip. They were smaller than I had expected, a bit on the sweeter side, but they were enjoyable for dessert. I got a human cashier both times. Both staffers (female on the first day and male the second) were helpful and friendly. I paid with a credit card both times. Done! The plastic bag rule isn't as strict in Manitoba as it is in Ontario. I came prepared with a canvas tote bag (habit!), but you can get a bag if you need one. I used a shopping cart the first time and a basket the second. I never had any issues using either one or finding an available one. This store has a pharmacy and a wellness station. Thenkatterballowsnyou to test your blood pressure and more. I like that this store posts notices about the hours of operation for the week, thanks to Canada Day landing on a Monday. You see them by the baskets before you officially walk into the store. This store also takes a flyer and posts each page up for folks to read. It's a nice touch. Prices were decent at this No Frills. It had everything that I needed. I enjoyed shopping here during my stay. I'd return here when I'm staying in the Island Lakes area again. (263)

Lately, even though I put in remarks, please pick salad kits that don't have rusty or black lettuce or cabbage, the personal shopper gives me bad kits. I was visiting from North Dakota for the day and I needed to bring back some ketchup potato chips…read morethat I keep hearing about in Canada and the only place that was open that did not have people lurking around the parking lot was the 7-Eleven at 4 AM in the morning. You don't know how grateful I was because I was able to buy six types of ketchup potato chips (I bought 12 bags of chips) here and 4 bags of chocolate covered pistachios that my whole family and friends loved that i will have to return for more. It's rare to find chocolate covered pistachios and of all places this 7-11 had this amazing treat. Having traveled the US and the world quite a bit, I am so happy that this chain store carried such a savory dessert snack. The staff were also nice . And at 4am a DoorDash person was picking up some food and a coke slurpee for a customer. Sounds fun to me! For those who say not so nice things about this 7-11 please remember that it's open 24/7, has to deal with all kinds of interesting and potentially dangerous people and situations from strangers, have to be awake and alert at all times of the day and night against our natural circadian rhythms, and still have to work and keep serving people with customer service and food safety standards. It's hard to find anything open in Winnipeg at 4am so I would say ... appreciate the hard work of those who don't get to work from home in a safe place at all times and deal with all kinds of personalities and situations they don't have control over. Thank you 7-11 and your staff!! Great job and thank you for all my ketchup chip choices and the loved chocolate pistachios!! I will return.

I have pros and cons about this store. First this place smells like drugs, I can't even go into it…read more So if you can't be around that smell, have sensory issues or just get headaches, etc. DON'T GO HERE. Since the last time I was here they have upgraded a lot. Now they sell jewelry, clothing and probably even more. This place feels very drug selling business, tbh. The service is good, they do have a lot of variety of food and drinks, I mean the people who work/own the place are nice but i just can't with the drug smell, people yelling, etc. I don't recommend this place unless you are able to be around the smell of drugs. For a while I had thought it was one of the workers it was coming from but now i think they're either selling drugs or something in this store cuz it smells like pot or some kind of drug. i will sadly have to go elsewhere even tho this place is convenient to walk to but not enough to cause me physical pain from the drugs at this place :(

But I mean, they have gift cards so no more having to go out of my way just to get an iTunes gift card to buy a season pass! Some other stuff that I have noticed that they sell are things for drugs (i think they're called bongs??) I don't smoke or do drugs but I have noticed that they sell them. They also sell cold medicine and so much more. And if they don't have something you are looking for they will try to get it for you. I was looking for something in particular but they didn't sell it and the guy asked me what it was so I showed him what it was on my phone on amazon and not too much longer they had a few different flavor options! Seriously, this shop is amazing, the people are just so friendly which makes me keep returning. The prices are kind of expensive that a lot of times just because it is cheaper somewhere else i will go get it somewhere else because I just can't afford to pay more than I have to. But days where I need it right away, I will pay that extra money because I can't bus down to Walmart or Giant Tiger just to get it 2 or 4 for whatever amount cheaper. Highly recommend this shop! The Exchange is nearby, across from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, which is next door to security. The Exchange is named after the Exchange District in Winnipeg. This area was originally modelled after Chicago. It is also a national historic site, and comprises the Planetarium and Manitoba Museum, among some of the attractions for both locals and tourists. I headed over to the cold drink fridge. I went with Pure Leaf lemon. There was a zero-sugar version that was new to me. I had to get it. I waited in line for pay. The woman ahead of me took her sweet time putting her purchases away before moving on. My flight was delayed, so I was okay with killing some time. The woman who cashed me out was great. I paid with my credit card. I tapped and was done. I wished her a great day and left. I love Pure Leaf. It's nice that the lemon version has no sugar in it. It was cold and yummy as lemon iced tea. I'm glad that I stopped by to get my tea fix. (234)
