I only use laundromat every few months for big things- big comforters, throw rugs, dog beds. No laundromat is cheap. This place is the palace of laundromats!!! Always a helpful attendant. Clean, safe, well lit. Folding tables, wheeled carts, sinks, clean bathroom. Lots of big front loads that get things amazingly clean!! Can now use a credit card to pay some washers and dryers. Also have a change machine. Very convenient. I love that I can go and do many loads all at once and not beat up my home washer with this heavy stuff. LOVE THIS PLACE!!! read more

I like a dumb azz I bought one of those super big fluffy bed spreads not even thinking what will I do when I need to wash it because it will not fit in my machine. Not having to go to a laundry for many years I went into a full blown panic because I didn't know where to go for an oversized washer and dryer, my situation looked grim so I turned to Yelp my trusty friend and found this place. With one review saying build it and they will come for a laundry I was in. This is definitely not like any laundry I have seen before because it was well thought out. There is super huge commercial machines like I envision a hotel having. There is a tv area, arcade, Coffey station, community table and a cash station. The place big/bright and clean with plenty of machines of all sizes up to an eight load monster if you need one of those. The woman working the place was very helpful with my questions, I found a machine big enough and a dryer but how much drying Time would I need for this large load and she told me to put in a $1.50 so I did $2 which worked. A sigh of relief rolled over me when I found just the place I needed to clean my big bed spread. As far as people complaining about the price I can't comment because I have not used laundry mats in years but it did cost $8 to clean and dry a large bed spread. Overall this will be my to go place for my oversized loads and I was impressed that this laundry is actually a destination worthy place. read more

Great laundry for comforters that don't fit in my home washer/dryer. The facility is clean and spacious with lots of oversized washers and dryers. The attendant was very helpful and friendly and it's not that expensive. Queen comforter wash was 7.00 and it only took 25 minutes to dry which came out to about $1.50. Much, much cheaper than taking to a dry cleaner. Added plus, they are close to a Target and grocery stores so its easy to do some quick errands during wash/dry cycles. read more

It's just like any other laundromat I've been to in West Allis, overpriced dirty washers. Had 4 towels in dryer for 24 mins on high heat and they were still damp. I don't like all the " masks required" signs or mask police so that alone is another reason why I won't come back. They have an area of games the kids can play and waste money on. It's sorta clean, perhaps once a night they clean? Only plus for me was the large blanket size $5.50 washer did get my comforter clean and an additional $3.75 to dry on crappy dryers. read more

This was a really nice laundry mat. We just moved and had to clean all our bedding. The washing machines were big enough to do that and it wasn't that expensive. The man working there was really nice and helpful. We don't go to laundry mats much so we asked a few questions. He later split our bedding into two dryers for free because he said it would dry faster which I thought was very thoughtful of him. I'd go back again. They had tv and wifi too. read more

Only came in as I had other business in the area. This is a bit larger than others in the area. More on the expensive side at $2.25 per load to wash in a single load washer. $0 50 for 12 minutes on the "express" dryer. Regular dryer is $0.25 for 8 minutes. Very clean and well kept. read more

Fifteen years ago, Faye Becker had the bright idea to do an "upscale" laundromat in West Allis, and they built an extremely nice facility, spacious, with a waiting area, a play area for kids, coffee/cappucino service, exercise area, tanning bed, etc. Bubbles & Bleach ultimately imploded a few years later, but for the last decade, Sun Laundry has operated a less ambitious and more practical laundromat out of this facility. Modern equipment, a variety of sizes of washers, ample table space, and a spacious facility make Sun Laundry a nice place to do laundry. The main problem is the location of the store, near Hwy 100 and Lincoln. West Allis has a lot of traffic control in the area, and you can't easily approach the laundromat from northbound Hwy 100, or, heaven forbid, West Hayes Avenue, without making a U turn somewhere past Lincoln on Hwy 100 (busy AND dangerous to attempt), or turning west on Lincoln and then coming around on 109th Street, which lands you right where you need to be. read more

This laundromat is deceptive about their hours. The website says this site is open until 11 p.m. but if you drive there after 9 p.m. the doors are barricaded with carts and the open signs are turned off. People are inside finishing up. read more

NEVER did I think I would get excited about or rave about a laundromat. Sun isn't one of the dingy holes in the wall of the college experience. Nope, not at all. Banks of large machines, which is key since I visit only with oversized items that the home machines can't handle. Attendant on duty. CLEAN. BRIGHT. I can read a paper or do work here while I wait comfortably. And a quick dash across the way to Oscar's for a snack works, too. About access, there's a back way, accessible via Lincoln that makes getting in and out of the parking lot manageable. Wish Sun was nearer to my home, but I can always take the laundry with me when I go visit mum & dad, kinda' like college, but better. read more

This is my go-to laundromat. I used to live closer, but now I live 20 minutes away, but I won't go to another. I love the big dryers. The newer big washers, I do not like because they use very little water and it doesn't even look like my clothes get washed so I use the medium sized washers. The only reason I won't give 5 stars is because the ATM is a ripoff. I tried to take $20 and it said error. So, I tried again and it worked. A day later, found out my bank account WAS charged that 1st $20 and of course the 2nd $20. The guy owner of the ATM (owner of the laundromat), would not refund me. So, my bank refunded me the $20. Although my initial opinion of the facility was positive, I had the WORST experience in my life in terms of the flagrant abuse of the staff worker. When I returned to pick up my clothes, the woman working there yelled at me and literally threw my clothes on the ground outside. As I'm writing this, it is 11:03 pm and the incident happened about 30 minutes ago. I returned around 10:30 to pick up my clothes from the dryer. Although the doors indicate it closes at 11pm and last wash at 10pm (both of which I respected), the doors were locked at 10:30. When I knocked on the door, the woman first ignored me then signaled me to go away. I indicated several times my clothes were in there. Finally she opened the door and started yelling at me for no reason and told me to read the sign. I responded that I just needed to pick up my clothes which were already dry, and I would be completely gone by 10:45 if she let me get them. She said I needed to come back tomorrow. I politely insisted that I pick them up now while I'm right here and had more than 25 minutes before the actual closing time. She would not let me in and finally brought my clothes outside in a cart. Then I told her I also need my baskets. She brought them outside. Again, I pointed out that I would be gone well before 11pm if she let me come and put them in my baskets. Instead, she continued yelling at me and said it's not her responsibility. Then, to my dismay, she started grabbing my clothes from the cart and throwing them. I asked her not to touch my clothes. I had about 4+ loads. Yet she insisted and said "Yes, I will throw them" and continued throwing them. Some were going into my baskets, some were going on the ground. It was not just one or two that landed on the ground. She threw several of them on the ground. Since this happened, I looked up various numbers for Sun Laundry while in the parking lot and called them. I also called the police. I also drove home from West Allis to Wauwatosa and wrote this message, and it's 11:10 pm. Had she not freaked out, I would've been out with my clothes by about 10:45 pm which is well before their posted closing time. I cannot believe she threw my clothes on the ground. My responses to her the entire time were reasonable and polite until she continued throwing my clothes. read more
