The flavors are unique and they have a fresh, flavorful and deliciously smooth texture. Everything they make is made in house from their ice cream to their coffee beans, which are roasted on site. They have free samples so I would encourage you to go in and sample some of the options they have. If you're like me, then a couple of samples in and you'll be ready to enjoy the amazing flavors they offer. I came here during COVID. They place is setup to get you in safely, let you order and then you gotta leave. The ice cream flavors are all clearly marked (there are a lot of flavors). I had Turkish coffee - the absolute best coffee ice cream ever! I also tried (from my kids) mint chocolate chip and cookies and cream. It was so good we had to know where it came from So today was the day we visited Sundae's and I got my first scoop of Graham Central Station and I regretted not getting a double! Even better than I remember. They have tons of other amazing flavors- we also tried macadamia nut and it was delicious (9/10 for my husband). It was a beautiful day in Indy and the warmest it has been since mid-November. So, with the sun shining brightly I decided to head out for some ice cream after my work day ended. I also decided it was a great chance to snag my Yelp review for the day as I continue my quest to write at least one Yelp review every day of 2021. Sundae's Ice Cream & Coffee is a strip center ice cream and coffee joint that has been around the Northside of Indy since 1995. Winner of several awards for best local ice cream, Sundae's offers homemade craft ice cream and coffee roasting. Located at the Southern tip of Geist, it's ideally situated to attract the Geist/Northside residential crowd. Sundae's actually provides their ice cream to restaurants throughout the Midwest, a sure sign that they're ice cream is the real deal. They offer quite a few flavors - they have 32 rotating flavors. They also have seasonal flavors, sorbets, and yogurts. With coffee, they have non-flavored and flavored options and it looked like you could buy most of them either by the half-pound or pound with prices quite reasonable. They are taking the pandemic seriously (Thank you!) - masks are required, social distancing is expected and they have a line beautifully organized. It might take just a wee bit more time, but it keeps folks safe. The employees are super friendly and helpful. Right now, they've removed their tables - there are two benches in front of the store that allow for eating on-site or outside. It didn't seem like folks cared because business was definitely fairly brisk. I ordered a "single" cup of cookies n' cream in a cup. You can get a child's size or a double. I found the pricing surprisingly reasonable as I paid just a bit over $3. The ice cream was delicious and the cookies were both bits and some actual chunks. it was quite nice. I'd contemplated getting some coffee to go, but decided I would save that for another visit. It's obviously hard to get the full flavor of a place like Sundae's when you're getting it to go, but the prices are good, the ice cream is awesome, and the employees are warm and hospitable. The process for serving works well and the line moved briskly. I'll definitely return as it's actually not far from my home. I look forward to a day, hopefully in the near future, when we can all relax inside again and life gains some semblance of normalcy. Until then, I'll support local and be grateful for those who continue to serve up quality products, great customer service, and who take the pandemic seriously without losing their flair! read more

We came right before a long line formed so I guess that's a great sign that this place is popular! My only negative thing during the pandemic is that there are marked spots to stand/wait and it was hard to view all the options they have on their menu because of how the line was formed. With that said, we all just got ice cream and nothing fancy. I ordered a scoop of banana cream pie and chocolate peanut butter brownie and it was phenomenal. From the quick glance I got of the menu, they have a lot of fun stuff like floats, sundaes, and milkshakes.
