Sundancer grill offered ceviche that was delicious, very fresh and toothsome. Took some home and it was just as delicious the next day.

Came here for a quick brunch/lunch with my husband. He ordered the omelette which came with a side of potatoes - it was average but unfortunately came out lukewarm. I ordered the firecracker shrimp tacos - they were good and the salad had a nice light dressing. read more

I had the fire cracker shrimp and it was good. Not the best or worst I have had but good. Very laid back. It was not that busy when I was there. They do not have draft beer. Bottle only. Limited liquor bar but you can make it work. Nice place to pull up from the water. Not sure I would drive that far to come here for the food. There is a playground for kids. No central air. Fans only. Designed to be an outside style with roll up doors. Service was good. If you are out on the water or renting a water craft it's worth stopping by. read more

We were here on a Saturday late afternoon. Past brunch hours so the place wasn't crowded. Ordered burger, chicken grill sandwiches and fried shrimps. Service was good but food took so long to cook. Ordered a medium burger but it turned out well done. The fried shrimp were black due to either over cook or they didn't change the oil regularly. The place looks OK nothing great. If they have open the windows so we can get a real view of the marina would be great. It was a warm day this past Saturday. The portion is generous. read more

We have been here before and was excited to enjoy it again but when we walked in for a table of 8 we were told a hour an half with 3 tables inside open. Manager stated we can sit outside in the cold with 3 young kids. We tried but saw another table open up and wanted to be placed inside due to the kids were freezing. Asked manager since another table just opened can we sit inside she responded with NO due to she expects more people to come she didn't want to give up the 2 tables when 4 was open. We left and say 6 people walk in after we left and they have 2 tables inside for the 6 people! When we talked to a server he didn't understand why she did that to us! A low key, laid back atmosphere. Burger and fries were top notch (aside from the fact that I asked for no pickles and received pickles...minor error). Service and speed of food coming out was pretty slow for a Saturday at 11:30 (they weren't busy at all when we were there) but still very friendly. Mostly a young crowd of servers. We were there for dinner the service was very friendly and prompt -The cocktail; old fashion and a house special called the Sundancer(Margarita with a Dos Equis inside) mango white claw, all the drinks were delicious. We ordered a variety of food dishes; appetizers; firecracker shrimp-chicken wings, blackened fish tacos-fried chicken tacos.and a Bacon Blue Cheeseburger -all the food was delicious and the service was great.It was enjoyable evening, I recommend you give it a try. read more

Found this place on the Top 10 Restaurants in Lake Travis! We were pleasantly surprised with this spot. It was not crowded on a Monday night when many other local restaurants with views are closed. Great location on the water with beautiful sunset views (although the lake is very low). Outdoor seating with garage doors open. Fans and a cool breeze allowed for a nice pleasant feel. Great customer service from the waiter. He helped us decide on the best meal choice for our taste buds. He was friendly and very helpful. Both catfish meals were absolutely delicious!!! Drinks were great and the venue was perfect for a date night or even family dinner. Playground in the front yard. I was craving a day by some water so I meandered out to Lakeway. Got on Yelp and found the Sundance. Ratings were good and menu looked fine so I headed over. The view to the "lake" was pretty by the Marina and the interior was boat house cute. I was seated immediately and then......20 minutes till the bartender came over to offer water. The bartender was serving about 3 tables plus tending the 6 seater bar. Another 15 till my food came. Not sure if this is how they do it or if they were short staffed. It didn't work for me. The place was packed and a young kid was handling the bulk of the other 20 or so tables indoors and out with little assistance. He was cheerful, super observant (as was I) and efficient. I found out his name was Kai. I found him after my meal and complemented him on his work ethic. I wish he had been my server, so I tipped him anyway. I ordered chicken and waffles which purported to come with "Maple" syrup and a side of Green Chile Mac n Cheese. The Mac was pretty good but not memorable. Don't be tempted to order the Cajun Hollandaise, it's not Cajun or Hollandaise. The waffles were tasty but could have been a little crispier and the chicken was very good. "Maple" syrup it was not. I asked my bartender/server why the menu stated "Maple" syrup when it was clearly corn syrup. He replied "well it's pancake and waffle syrup". Okay. What could I say. He was right. Maybe it's not a big deal to some, but the difference between the flavor of real Maple syrup mixed with the chicken and waffles vs this restaurant's Pancake syrup was glaring. I took home the remaining piece of chicken and waffle (which I popped in my toaster to crisp up) and topped with warm, genuine, Vermont Maple syrup. Mmmmmm. Wife and came because of lake view, dog friendly and many stars. She always relies on stars but refuses to leave reviews! ( but this isn't her review!) View was nice; can blame them for the low water level, as another reviewer did. Can though for the power line and poles for the parking lot lights! Greeted at door and got a great but sticky table by a nice hostess. Waiter was very nice and "great choice, my favorite food" comments. Bar service slow. Food ok. We got just starters and drinks. Nothing special, and as I write this, am up late with indigestion. Perhaps the hardest to accept was the food and drink presentation. I would expect red plastic baskets for food and clear plastic disposable cups for a six dollar drink or French fries at a burger dive, ice house or golf clubhouse bar. The $14 crab hush puppies were poorly plated as were fried pickles. Drinks same way; a very impressive mixed drinks menu, but all are served in a cheap plastic cup. Beautiful sunset, but in need of a power washing and a hard look at food/ drink presentation. Will try you out again for happy hour, and hope you accept this as constructive. read more

Great seafood! And gorgeous view of the dock. We got: -Cornmeal catfish basket: best fried catfish I've honestly ever had. The breading is crispy and delicious and the fish doesn't taste fishy. Comes with bread, coleslaw, fries, and 1 filet. -firecracker shrimp tacos- plenty of shrimp, plenty of flavor -crab hush puppies- we got a half order (3) and it does have a crabby/fishy flavor, but it's absolutely delicious if you like crab. Well once again this place doesn't disappoint. We tried 2 new items on the menu - the steak salad and a different burger. Both were great and our server Maddie kept checking on us to make sure our teas were filled and our waters too. Great service and great food. If you are looking for a place to give you those vacation beach vibes, this is the place! The view is spectacular from the restaurant and this is right on the water. The catfish was amazing, but the tots appetizer was not great. The drink was just okay as was the services. Definitely save room for the bread pudding cause it was delicious !! My wife and I have been going here for years; however, today was an experience to forget. We both ordered their hamburger and fries. The meat was over cooked and was very dry. The fries were limp and not crisp, as we had ordered. We also got "fast food" service as well from our server. She took our order and delivered it about 20-25 minutes later. We also asked for some more ketchup for our burger and fries (they gave one 1 tablespoon serving in a container for each of us). The server finally came back to our table with the requested ketchup after we had already completed most of our meal. I also asked for a refill for my soda that never came. We wanted a view on the lake and found Sundance Grill. This unassuming garage space does t have very many tables but the view is excellent and the food even better. We came here on Thanksgiving weekend and it wasn't too crowded. Started off with the calamari - biggest calamari I've ever seen. Very fresh and with the right amount of spice and marinara. I loved my mixed grill which came with amazing pieces of steak, bacon wrapped shrimp and sausage. The brussel sprouts were crispy and cooked just right and the Mac and cheese was so creamy some of the best I've ever had! My family also loved their tilapia sandwich, stuffed salmon and catfish pontcharain. Great service and amazing food. We will come here again next time to experience more wonderful seafood. read more

There's no sign off the Highway, you'd think you were heading to the back of a neighborhood, and then a the costal style structure demands to be acknowledged. If you choose to accept the calling you'll be greeted by incredibly friendly staff and sat at a seat with a view. (Spoiler: they all have one.) Speaking only for brunch the prices were reasonable until the food arrived and I took my first bite. Immediately I fell in love with my Shrimp and Grits, ordered a second margarita, and decided this would be my new "spot" in the lakeside area. Also, Coming from a family that sold frozen margaritas for three decades I've gotta say: For the price point these a dang good. read more
